​The Global Wellness Summit ™ (GWS), the foremost gathering of leaders in the global wellness economy, has announced that its 20th annual conference will take place in Phuket, Thailand from November 10-13, 2026. The landmark event—which will be the largest Global Wellness Summit to date—will convene CEOs of leading wellness companies, physicians and academics, investors, technology innovators, and policymakers for four dynamic days examining the forces transforming all eleven sectors of the wellness economy, from wellness tourism and physical activity to mental wellness, beauty, spas, and wellness real estate, with a lens on the evolving longevity landscape.  

​Abra Group announced today that it will progressively incorporate seven Airbus A330-900 wide-body aircraft into its fleet during 2026 and 2027. This expansion forms part of the Group’s strategy to strengthen its long-haul operations and enhance the travel experience in key international markets. In an initial phase, up to five of the seven aircraft will be operated by GOL and two by avianca, reinforcing the Group’s network and operational capabilities within the region and on routes to and from Europe and North America. Wamos Air, an essential part of the Group, will support GOL’s internationalization strategy and avianca’s expansion during this growth period.  

​In a landmark move for Brazilian aviation, GOL Linhas Aéreas has officially announced the launch of its first-ever long-haul route, signaling a robust new phase in the airline’s international expansion strategy. Starting on July 8, 2026, the carrier will begin operating direct, non-stop flights connecting RIOgaleão – Tom Jobim International Airport (GIG) in Rio de Janeiro to John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City. This highly anticipated service will feature three weekly frequencies and was developed through a strategic partnership with the Rio de Janeiro City Hall.
