Daughters’ relentless search shatters ‘overdose’ claim, leads to arrest in mom’s 1992 murder

NEW Now you can listen to Fox News articles! Over three decades after a Washington mother was discovered dead in her home, authorities have arrested a suspect in the long-dormant case. In November 1992, Janice Randle was found deceased on her bed in her Graham, Washington residence, with her infant daughter in a nearby crib. At that time, her husband, James Randle, informed authorities that she might have died from a drug overdose, pointing to her previous use of painkillers. The couple was separated and in the midst of a divorce. The case was originally handled as a death investigation and potential overdose. Autopsy findings later showed no drugs in Randle’s system, leading investigators to reclassify the case as a homicide. Even with this change, evidence remained scarce, and detectives could not build probable cause for an arrest. The case went unsolved for decades. “Realtor’s Cold Case Murder Solved After 133 Years, Police Say.” The investigation was reopened in recent years when family members provided new information, including reports of purported confessions by James Randle. Those leads offered investigators a new angle—and a fresh way ahead. Officials state the revitalized probe ultimately provided probable cause to arrest the now 68-year-old suspect, who resided in a care facility in Everett, Washington.

Photo source: Getty Images. 15 minutes ago. On Sunday night, either WBC world champion Caroline Dubois or WBO title-holder Terri Harper will bolster their case as the world’s top lightweight fighter. The 25-year-old has long been celebrated as one of the top prospects in women’s boxing. Harper, a 29-year-old from Doncaster, is a three-weight world champion who has faced off against some of the sport’s elite. She has a record of 16 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws. Who will emerge victorious on Easter Sunday? Will Dubois preserve her perfect record against her rival, or will Harper prove she’s still very much in the fight? ‘A messed-up situation’ – world champion Dubois on family rift

L’image provient de Reuters. ByKal Sajad. Journalist for BBC Sport boxing. 58 minutes ago. Family has always been at the heart of Caroline Dubois’ boxing journey. But two years ago, the current WBC lightweight champion—sister to former heavyweight world champion Daniel—left the family home where she grew up. The trigger was a dispute with her father, Stan Dubois (also known as Dave), whose intense, high-pressure training regimen shaped both siblings’ upbringings. Caroline departed but kept training with Shane McGuigan, while Daniel pursued his own path. Several of her younger siblings joined her, forging a new family structure along the way. “It’s such a messed-up situation.” “It’s just so complicated,” says Caroline, 25, about the strained relationship. Speaking to BBC Sport from the McGuigan gym in Leyton, east London, with her younger sister Alicia beside her, Caroline expresses hope for reconciliation with Daniel and believes “time” will heal things. But it’s a different matter with her father. “When you distance yourself from someone overbearing, who doesn’t let you have an opinion or a voice, and then you gain that freedom, you discover your likes and dislikes,” she explains. “You figure out who you want to be around, what kinds of people you enjoy, and what kinds you don’t.” Terri Harper tegen Caroline Dubois.

Survival or FA Cup glory – which would you choose?

Photo source: Getty Images. ByBen Ramsdale. Un journaliste sportif pour la BBC. One hour ago. Cent et un commentaires How many major finals have you gotten to watch your team compete in—and win—over the course of your life? If you’re not a fan of one of the Premier League’s “big” clubs, the answer is probably very few, if any. The second part of this question is, would you like to? The answer to that would be a resounding yes, but would it still hold true if the price of silverware was relegation from the top flight?

Is season running away from frazzled Arsenal?

Written by Alex Howell. Arsenal correspondent at St Mary’s Stadium. 5 aprilie 683, 00:32 BST. Quatre cent quatre-vingt-sept commentaires Revised 1 hour ago. “Diviértete con tu cuádruple, amigo”. That was the official Southampton X account’s reply to an unhappy Arsenal fan who had sniped at the Saints’ post celebrating their stunning FA Cup win. Just 14 days earlier, the Gunners were favorites for a historic quadruple, but losses to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final and to Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals have shattered those hopes. Shea Charles netted an 85th-minute winner to knock Arsenal out, after substitute Viktor Gyokeres equalized following Ross Stewart’s first-half goal. It’s the first time this season Arsenal have lost two games in a row, and only their fifth defeat overall. Attention now turns to whether the Gunners can tune out the backlash and handle the mounting pressure, with the Premier League and Champions League still in play. “They have to not let the season run away from them.” Arsenal, the Gunners, haven’t claimed the Premier League title in 22 years and have ended up second for three straight seasons. The Carabao Cup final marked their first shot at a major trophy in six years. Following defeats to Manchester City and now an FA Cup exit to a lower-league side—their first since the 2021-22 third-round loss to Nottingham Forest—they must prevent these setbacks from sparking a form dip. “They can’t let the season slip away from them,” said ex-Arsenal and Southampton striker Theo Walcott to BBC Sport. “Don’t allow it to undermine everything they’ve achieved this campaign.”

Illegal migrant charged in deadly 124 mph chase that killed pregnant teen, unborn child

NEW Now you can listen to Fox News articles! The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced Saturday that it has issued an immigration detainer for an illegal immigrant accused of leading Ohio deputies on a high-speed chase that concluded in a crash, killing a pregnant 17-year-old girl and her unborn child while injuring another woman. Tarsem Singh, an Indian national, was recently indicted on charges of vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless homicide, per DHS. He is currently held on a $1 million bond, with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) placing an arrest detainer on him with Ohio authorities. The fatal incident occurred in Feb. A pursuit began when a Darke County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted an SUV speeding nearly 25 mph over the limit. ‘VIRGINIA FATHER’ CHARGED WITH MURDERING INFANT DAUGHTER IS ILLEGAL ALIEN, SAYS DHS. Officials stated that the deputy tried to catch up to the SUV, allegedly driven by Singh, and paced it at 100 mph. As the deputy turned on his emergency lights for a traffic stop, the SUV fled, traveling about five miles at speeds up to 124 mph before colliding with an eastbound vehicle on a curve, per the sheriff’s office. The deputy promptly alerted dispatch about the crash and checked for injuries, discovering that pregnant 17-year-old Ashlee Holmes, Singh’s passenger, had died after being ejected from the vehicle, according to local outlet WDTN. EXCLUSIVE: ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT RELEASED UNDER BIDEN ‘CATCH-AND-RELEASE’ ALLEGEDLY KILLS DRIVER IN POLICE CHASE. Singh was airlifted by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. The female driver of the eastbound vehicle, who was conscious and alert despite her injuries, was transported to Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana, via Union City, per the sheriff’s office. Officials noted the pursuit lasted under three minutes from initiation to crash. The reason Holmes was in Singh’s vehicle remains unknown. “This is yet another tragic reminder of why illegal aliens should not be driving cars on America’s roads,” DHS acting assistant secretary Lauren Bis wrote in a statement. This illegal immigrant’s reckless behavior has resulted in the death of a 17-year-old woman and her unborn child. Singh reportedly crossed into the country illegally via California’s southern border in February 2017 and was detained prior to a judge ordering his release on bond. Bis stated that the newly filed ICE detainer against Singh was intended to guarantee he is “never released and allowed back behind the wheel to endanger more innocent lives.”
