Fox News Digital has gained access to a Tzrifin Base of the Israel Defense Forces in Central Israel where they have a large number confiscated weapons such as rockets, grenades and sniper guns, automatic weapons, anti tank rocket launchers and mortars.
This arsenal of weapons, which included manufacturers from Iran and Russia to China and Lebanon to Gaza to even an old Nazi gun was part of Hamas’s war machine against Israelis civilians as well as the IDF ever since Hamas terrorists launched their attack on southern Israel in October 2023.
IDF claimed that Hezbollah used weapons to attack civilians in Lebanon. Hezbollah, Hamas and the so-called Iranian “axis for resistance” are all members. According to reports, the terror groups are responsible for more than 300 American deaths.

IDF seizes all-terrain vehicles used by Hezbollah to transport terrorists and rockets in Lebanon. The ATV that was captured had launchers and six rockets. You can control the road from atop a hill. “With six anti-tank missiles, you can stop any vehicle passing,” Sharon-Kettler said.
He added that the ATVs are a great asset for Hezbollah, especially in the hilly terrain of the southern Lebanon.

Sharon-Kettler said that the IDF had captured “dozens” Iranian-made canons, in villages located south of Lebanon, near Hezbollah’s main base. Sharon-Kettler said that cannons pointed out the windows of many homes. One of the cannons seized by Lebanese authorities was Russian in origin.

Hezbollah embeds terrorists into residential areas, civilian buildings, such as schools, hospitals and mosques, just like Hamas. IDF’s storage facility contained AK-47 automatic weapons and other versions produced by Russia.
In southern Lebanon, the IDF also captured AK-103s and AK-104s that were more recent. Sharon-Kettler said that Hezbollah, Hamas and other groups use light sniper weapons, including some from Iran or Russia.
Israel also confiscated a Turkish hunting rifle with a high degree of decoration that Hezbollah was using. Hezbollah was in possession of many Steyr sniper weapons, such as the Austrian Steyr HS.50 calibre sniper weapon. Sharon-Kettler displayed an Iranian replica of the Steyr rifle.
According to the IDF weapon expert, they collected in Lebanon submachine gun manufactured by China, Russia, and Iran as well as antitank launchers made by Russia and Iran.
The IDF also seized a variety of other merchandise, including the equipment and uniforms that are typical for a professional military force or guerrilla terrorist force. The IDF confiscated war gear includes uniforms and helmets from Syria, China, and Lebanon, as well as anti-shrapnel jackets and medical kits.

An official from the State Department told Fox News recently that, on background, U.S. efforts to help Lebanon’s Government disarm Hezbollah will continue.
Rome is set to host the next round of negotiations in early September. State Department officials said that they were “pleased with the direction” the talks are taking and also added “we’re not naive to the challenges.” Hezbollah tries to sabotage this process and Israel and Lebanon both are democratic countries under political pressure. If you buy the Samsung phone, it comes in a special Green Shadow colour, while most other retailers offer Violet Shadow, Cream or Graphite.
Alternatives? Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is priced at $1,900, and offers a slightly different experience to Z Fold 8 Ultra while still maintaining the same style of big-screen folding. Also, the Motorola Razr Fold and new Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold are worth considering. Oppo Find N6 or Honor Magic V6 would be good alternatives for those living outside of the US.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra feels and looks identical to Galaxy Z Fold 7 The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is identical in size, weight, thickness and dimensions to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
It’s not a bad thing, because the Z Fold 7 was a significant improvement over the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and made the phone easier to use.
If you’ve tried out the Z Fold 7 but still don’t like the design, you won’t find anything here that will change your opinion.
If you are upgrading from an old model, it will be easier to use, more balanced and less frustrating to store in your bag or pocket.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is compared here. It’s tall, thin, folded form feels awkward and ungainly, especially when used closed.
You’ve made compromises in the past by choosing the big-screen folding shape shared by Oppo Find N6, Honor Magic V6 and, to a lesser degree, Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s form means that you no longer have to make compromises.
This means that you should go out and try both folding phones. There’s now a difference that is clear and noticeable between big-screen, folding phones.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has a refined design, is well made, and is durable. Galaxy Z Fold 8 has all of these features, in a more compact, manageable size.

Productive and refined
The screen is the best way to discover how Samsung refined its Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The Flex Titanium Technology, which incorporates a titanium-film into the display, reduces the crease, making it flatter than its competitors.
Anti-reflective treatment is equally effective. The combination of all these features makes the screen on the inside a pleasure to touch and look at. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is a much more attractive device when compared to Motorola Razr Fold.
The Samsung hinge is one of the most advanced in the industry. It has no sound and a smooth motion. Thanks to small changes to the shape of the phone, opening it now is easier than ever before. The screens on both phones are very bright and the viewing angles are excellent.
The Z Fold 8 Ultra has the reverse effect. I have used it more open than closed. The cover screen allows for faster typing and the apps are scaled well.
The Z Fold 8 Ultra is a larger phone, so it’s not as easy to use.
In portrait orientation, the speakers are located on top and bottom left panel. In landscape mode, the speakers are in the traditional orientation of left/right. Media is even more enjoyable with the full, loud sound.

Not an Ultra experience
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra camera’s biggest upgrade is from 12-megapixel wide angle to 50-megapixel wide angle. It produces photos with a lot of contrast, which is why you will want to take more pictures.
It’s a 200MP camera with a 10MP lens for 3x optical Zoom. The three cameras are very consistent, so if you enjoy bright, primary colors, then you will be happy with the result.
The 10MP Telephoto camera’s flaws were evident in a test using the Motorola Razr Fold. The 50MP Razr Fold telephoto produces photos with more color and detail indoors. In comparison, the Z Fold 8 Ultra telephoto is of poorer quality. The outdoor photos look better.
The open-screen editing of photos is an amazing experience. The cover screen can be used as a selfie viewfinder. AI generative mode produces some amazing results. My FanCam is an intriguing but niche feature.
You can ignore the Ultra designation. It’s not as good as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but it’s a step above the Galaxy Z Fold 7 camera. It’s disappointing that the 10MP telephoto camera is so low, but most people will accept it if they are only taking pictures indoors or comparing directly with other phones.

The power of the mighty and capable
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has been marketed as a device that can boost productivity. The split-window method of multitasking on an open screen is simple and intuitive. It’s great that you can move an app to its own panel on the screen. You can do this in a top-down or side-byside view.
Flex Mode is a great way to add another layer of multitasking. Unlike the Galaxy Z Fold 8 the hinge holds the screen in a 90 degree angle. Lower half of the device can act as keyboard or touchpad in certain apps. It depends on whether you’re worried about the screen getting damaged if you rest the Z Fold 8 Ultra upon a desk.
There is no support for stylus. Motorola Razr fold comes in a box with a stylus. An optional stylus can be purchased for Honor Magic V6 or Oppo Find N6.
Quick Share now supports Apple AirDrop. This allows you to transfer files from the Z Fold 8 Ultra to an Apple device. Sending photos from macOS or iOS takes only seconds. This is a really useful feature.
Android 17 and Samsung One UI 9 look very similar to software found on the Z Fold 7 The software is polished, intelligent, and quick. The Search Bar is a great way to quickly find out how to change some settings. It makes it easier to use.
Samsung’s Now Brief, and Now Nudge on the Z Fold 8 do not achieve the same. The Now Brief app is meant to organize your daily life. However, it’s little more than just a weather application with some articles I do not want to read. The Nudge app, which predicts what apps you might need in a conversation, is not active enough for it to be helpful. Galaxy AI is no different.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 for Galaxy has a lot of power. The device has never seemed slow. Scrolling is fast and smooth on 120Hz screens. Even benchmarking tests were run with the display closed at high temperatures without it overheating.

Charged with frustration, long life
The battery performance of the Z Fold 8 Ultra is outstanding thanks to the use of silicon-carbon.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra lasted me two days with a single battery charge, even though I only used it for three to four hours a day. 3DMark’s stress test of 20 minutes took only 8%. This shows that the Z Fold 8 Ultra performs well when it comes to gaming.
Samsung also improved the charging system, though not the way most people would have liked. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra offers 45W of wired and wireless charging, though you will need to use a Qi 2.2-compatible phone case.
If you use a charger compatible with Super Fast Charging 2, the battery can reach 100 percent in 65 minutes. This is an excellent result. In about 25 minutes, the battery was at 50%. It is crucial to choose the correct charger, as not all of them delivered fast charging.
What is Ultra?
Marketing nonsense is a waste of time
It’s possible that you read the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra name and instantly equated the phone with Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. This sudden shift in the nomenclature of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra needs to be explained.
Samsung’s Marketing team plays 4D Chess. This isn’t an Ultra Phone in the way that the S26 Ultra was. Anyone who is not a marketing type would think this phone isn’t the S26 Ultra.
Samsung’s attempt to simplify and make things clear may have been a preemptive move to Apple’s foldable phone that is widely expected to be launched later in the year.
Apple’s foldable is rumored to be called the iPhone Ultra. Samsung’s last attempt to anticipate Apple’s strategy resulted in the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Samsung’s Unpacked event was full of references to the company’s experience in making folding smartphones, another jab against Apple, a relative newcomer.
The Ultra designation is not important. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is no different from the Galaxy Z Ultra. This phone is not a part of Samsung’s prestigious S-series.

You should definitely consider purchasing the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. However, while you are considering your purchase, be sure to also try out the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
The phone is smaller and lighter and it’s great to use open or closed. This is a new twist on the traditional design of large folding phones. It offers a fun, more modern phone.
Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra belongs to a well-established genre. The Z Fold 8 offers a great alternative to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. It is an excellent entry and has few reasons to not buy it. However, if you are looking to read, watch movies, or use social media, then this device would be a much better choice. The Z Fold 8 Ultra is also more expensive.
Galaxy Z Fold 7 is a good upgrade for Z Fold 6 users. The Z Fold 8 Ultra has a great inner screen, long battery life and may tempt Fold 7 owner to upgrade.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra has been a great experience, but I look forward to the day when I can use the Z Fold 8 again.

When Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently announced on social media that she was freezing her eggs, she called attention to the cost of the procedure. The decision had taken time, the Democratic representative for New York’s 14th congressional district said in an Instagram story, “to consider, weigh and save up for.”
So-called elective egg freezing has become more common as women delay motherhood to focus on their education and careers, studies show. Ocasio-Cortez, who is 36, recently said on ABC’s “This Week” that she hasn’t ruled out a future presidential and U.S. Senate campaign.
However, the expense of egg freezing — compounded by a widespread lack of insurance coverage — remains an obstacle for many women.
“A single egg freezing cycle in the United States typically costs $10,000 to $20,000,” said Dr. Stephanie Kuku, a former gynecologist and senior adviser to the World Health Organization. The total tab can be much higher if multiple cycles are needed, and after factoring in additional costs such as storage and implantation.
Kuku, who also has worked with several tech firms on projects related to IVF accessibility, has found in her new research that reducing fertility treatment costs increases birth rates.
For comparison, in France, elective egg freezing is fully covered by the country’s public health insurance.
Egg freezing is framed mostly as a technology that gives women “more reproductive choice,” said Natalie Lampert, the author of “The Big Freeze.”
“But that choice is still disproportionately available to people who can afford it or have good fertility benefits,” Lampert said.
Ocasio-Cortez did not respond to a request for comment.
Egg freezing costs can hit $47,000
A single egg freezing cycle, including hormone stimulation and the retrieval procedure, costs around $16,000, on average, according toFertilityIQ, a fertility data and education platform. The price varies significantly by location.
But many women need to undergo multiple cycles to get their desired egg count, said Dr. Marcelle Cedars, a professor and director at the University of California, San Francisco’s Center for Reproductive Health. Ideally, women under the age of 35 will freeze at least 20 eggs, Cedars said. Women over that age typically need a higher number.
The total egg-freezing costs for a 38-year-old woman in New York City who needs three cycles can reach $47,000, according to a FertilityIQ analysis.
It’s not just age that impacts the required cycle number. The patient’s overall health and the facility’s techniques are also factors.
“For people without insurance coverage, that combination of upfront cost and uncertainty can make the decision especially difficult,” said Danielle Melfi, CEO of RESOLVE: The National Infertility and Family Building Association.
Health coverage of egg freezing is not common
“My insurance does not cover one penny of this,” Ocasio-Cortez said on social media about her egg freezing procedure.
Indeed, health insurance coverage for elective egg freezing is still the exception rather than the rule, Melfi said. Though she added: “Where we are seeing meaningful growth is through workplace benefits.”
Around 22% of employers with 500 or more workers provided coverage for elective egg freezing in 2025, up from 5% in 2015, according to Mercer. Among companies with over 5,000 employees, 40% offered the benefit last year, compared with only 8% a decade earlier.
Even among companies that cover egg freezing, a maximum lifetime benefit of around $20,000 is common, Mercer found.
Those who aren’t eligible for a workplace health insurance plan will usually have to pay for the entire procedure out of pocket, Melfi said.
The Affordable Care Act marketplace “does not establish a federal requirement for plans to cover IVF or elective egg freezing,” she said. And no states cover elective egg freezing for those on Medicaid.
There’s one exception: More than a dozen states mandate fertility preservation coverage before certain medical treatments, such as chemotherapy, that can impact the body’s ability to make sperm or eggs, Melfi said. But even this protection doesn’t reach all plans, she added.
Storage, taxes and implantation up the tab
After the egg extraction procedure, women typically have to pay an ongoing fee to store their eggs, said physician and certified financial planner Carolyn McClanahan, founder of Life Planning Partners in Jacksonville, Florida.
Those costs also vary by location. Five years of storage in New York City, for example, can cost $5,500, FertiltyIQ found.
“And of course, if they decide to use the eggs, they’ll have to pay the costs to thaw and then implant the eggs,” said McClanahan, a member of the CNBC Financial Advisor Council. “That, of course, costs a lot.”
As a result, most couples try to conceive naturally before turning to frozen eggs or embryos, she said. Health insurance coverage for IVF is more common when it’s due to infertility than personal choice.
Those who decide to freeze their eggs also have to consider taxes, McClanahan said.
If your company pays for elective egg freezing, that benefit amount “would count as earned income and be taxed,” she said. In such cases, your employer will likely add the benefit to your W-2.
That could generate a significant tax bill. For a $20,000 benefit amount, a single woman earning $80,000 a year would owe an extra $4,400 to the IRS, according to an example provided by McClanahan.
If you freeze your eggs due to a medical condition, the fees may qualify for the medical expense deduction, McClanahan said.
“If a woman is diagnosed with cancer and the treatment is going to affect her future fertility, it would be a deductible expense,” she said. “Freezing eggs because you want to delay childbirth is considered a personal choice and isn’t deductible.”

Leopold Aschenbrenner’s latest regulatory filing reveals Situational awareness loaded up on artificial intelligence stocks before they were some of the biggest victims of July’s market. According to the 13F filed on Friday, Sandisk, Micron Technology, Bloom Energy, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, and Nebius Group were amongst the hedge fund’s top five disclosed stocks at end-June. The next month, the AI trade reversed abruptly and all five stocks were severely impacted. This forced the hedge fund to sell a large portion of its portfolio. Sandisk, with a $5.7 billion market cap, was the largest U.S. listed position of the fund. In July, it fell almost 47%. Micron was close behind with $5.6 billion and fell nearly 29%. Bloom Energy fell 32% while Taiwan Semiconductor dropped 15%, and Nebius plunged 31%. Aschenbrenner’s filing revealed that he was aggressively adding to stocks which would bear the brunt in the AI downturn. Fund also owned $745m of CoreWeave, a name in AI infrastructure that was hit hard by the selloff. Situational Awareness’ strategy was based on one of Wall Street’s most popular trades. It invested in companies that would provide memory chips, data centres, power, and other necessary infrastructure for AI, but also bet against companies Aschenbrenner considered vulnerable to disruption by AI. This strategy was successful for most of the short life span of the fund. The Wall Street Journal published in June that Situational Awareness’s gains since its inception had been more than 1,000%. The fund’s assets peaked earlier in the summer at around $45 billion. The sudden reverse in its largest stock bets combined with losses from the opposite side of the portfolio, and its use of leverage quickly led to a liquidity crisis. After being forced to sell its leveraged stocks, including names like SK Hynix or CoreWeave to Ken Griffin’s Citadel for a discounted price on July 30, the fund’s assets had dropped to about $10 billion. 13F captures only U.S. listed long positions as of June 30, and does not provide an accurate picture of Situational awareness’s exposure or trades which ultimately led to its losses.

Appaloosa management, headed by David Tepper, bet heavily on technology megacaps in the second-quarter while also selling former memory chip companies that were flying high. Appaloosa increased its Amazon stake by over 15% and valued it at nearly $1.2 Billion, as per regulatory filings published Friday. According to InsiderScore, Amazon remains the largest investment of the hedge fund. Tepper didn’t just stop at Magnificent 7 stocks. Meta Platforms’ position increased by nearly 55% to $380 millions. Carolina Panthers’ owner, who owns Alphabet shares worth $661mil. He increased his holding by nearly 7%. Tepper created an Apple position worth more than $241m in the last quarter. Tepper, however, reduced his Micron Technology position by over 41%. Micron was still his second largest position with around $1.125 Billion. Tepper has been closely aligned with the artificial intelligence rally, so it is noteworthy that some of his holdings have decreased. He seemed to have gotten ahead of the drawdown that occurred in July for memory stocks. Micron’s shares soared more than 240% during the second quarter, its biggest quarterly gain in history. Investors focused their attention on hardware related to AI. The shares are down nearly 16% from the beginning of July as part of the broader decline in the memory chips space. Wall Street does not expect the decline to last long. According to LSEG, the average analyst gives Micron a Buy rating and expects a 51% increase in value over the coming year. Despite recent volatility, the shares will still be up by 240% in 2026. Tepper has also sold a Sandisk stake valued at more than 400 million dollars. The memory stocks have fallen by nearly 28% during the third quarter, after rising 258% between March and June.
