Blake Lively praised Justin Bieber for his Coachella performance. This was the singer’s very first major live performance since cancelling his tour in 2022. Blake Lively reposted a user’s analysis, Django degree, who called Justin Bieber a “living embodiment” of the “Truman Show,” referring to a 1998 film where Jim Carrey played Truman Burbank and he lived his life unaware that he was a subject of a reality series.

Degree compared Bieber’s rise to stardom with Burbank’s. He explained that the singer had more than he bargained after his success. “We watched them grow up, and adults treated that child like a petting-zoo,” said Degree.

Degree was in complete agreement with his sentiments and elaborated on them. “So many people are hurt and never return to themselves. “We watch it every time,” wrote the actress.

Lively wrote that people are quick judges and often only reflect upon a situation once it has already occurred. She said, “And the collective look back when it is too late, with empathy that wasn’t present at the time.” Shocked that everyone treated someone’s worst days as entertainment.”

“It makes money,” she wrote. Clicks. Followers. “Virality” Because of this, she noted that an entertainer’s health may be affected when people do not intend to harm them.

Lively then tagged Bieber and wrote, “Seeing @lilbieber heal that was stunning.” Fans were looking forward to Bieber’s comeback but many were confused or disappointed after Coachella’s first weekend. The Blast described the singer’s performance as “lazy,” despite the fact that Bieber reportedly received $10 million for his Coachella gig.

Lively’s comments on public scrutiny come just two weeks after she wrote about “digital abuse”. After the majority of her claims against Justin Baldoni was dismissed, Lively urged her fans not to be distracted “by the digital soap opera”: “to keep you from seeing yourself in my story.” “The physical pain of digital violence is very real,” wrote the actress.

Some online creators have reacted against Lively. This is especially true for those who were subpoenaed to provide their personal information after reporting extensively on the actress’s lawsuit against Baldoni. According to The Blast, a creator called the actress’s comments about digital violence “disingenuous” and another said she was “gaslighting everyone.”

TMZ reported that Lively wants more than $40,000,000 in reputational damages for her case against Baldoni. She is also said to be asking for hundreds millions of dollars in compensatory and punitive damage. In documents obtained by this outlet, the actress noted there were 176 million impressions online about her. These included descriptions such as “bully,” a “mean girl,” or “tone deaf.”

Lively claims that Baldoni’s team orchestrated an smear against her, which resulted in the loss future earnings and incomes from her beverage and hair care companies. Baldoni’s staff has denied the allegations and said that Lively’s backlash was organic. “That Lively may have suffered a loss of reputation is a result her own ill advised public statements and actions…This is a dispute over Hollywood reputations, and not real legal wrongs. The Baldoni camp filed a document in 2025 that stated, “It does not belong in court.”
