One of Drake’s songs, “1 AM In Albany,” was shared online overnight, and it features suggestive lyrics about some of his industry peers.

Of course, in the five-minute track, Drake takes a shot at Lamar, calling him short and hinting that he was surprised the Grammy-winner popped off the way he did with his viral hit, “Not Like Us.”

Elsewhere in the track, Drake trashes James, saying, “I shouldn’t even be shocked to see you in that arena, because you always made your career off of switching teams up.”

He continued, “Please stop asking what’s going on with 23 & me, I’m a real n****, and he’s not, it’s in my DNA.”

Drake Had Beef With James After The NBA Player Was Spotted Dancing To Lamar’s Diss Track

Drake’s lyric about James won’t be a surprise to his most loyal fans. According to a previous report from The Blast, Drake was upset in the summer of 2024 when he spotted James dancing to Lamar’s diss track about him during the rapper’s “Pop Out” concert that year.

In October 2024, Drake seemingly addressed the clip of James during a speech in Canada, saying, “My real friends are definitely in the building.”

He went on, “But let me tell you that you’re going to come to a point in life where people you thought were friends, people you thought were close to you switch up.”
