Eva Longoria misses the US a little, but her heart is in Europe!
The sensational actress revealed that in November 2024, she and her family have moved out of the nation to split their time between Mexico Spain.

In a recent interview, Longoria discussed her return to the US in order to direct “The Fifth Wheel”, her second film as a director. She said that her family’s move back to Los Angeles had made her nostalgic, for two reasons:
“I miss my family, my Texas family…. Good Mexican food. This is what I miss. “Good Mexican food is what you can’t get in Europe.”
Longoria, whose son Santiago was born with her husband Jose Baston in Los Angeles, told PEOPLE her child has enjoyed living there. “He loved it. “He’s been so happy to have classmates, friends and birthdays,” she said of the boy who enrolled for the first time in school last year.

Longoria said that although her son thrived in Los Angeles, his heart is in Spain. She explained that her extended family was in Mexico and Spain and that they preferred to be surrounded by loved ones than apart.
“I also believe he is happiest with his family. “I think we’ll take it day-by-day, year-by year,” Longoria explained. She said that Santiago was not the only one who loved Spain, because she also enjoyed her time away.
Longoria says that the lunch culture in Spain was one of the best things about living there. “I don’t like the working lunch…You do it every day: ‘I am going to grab a sandwich.’ She quipped: “I’ll be back in a moment.” She noted that people in Spain enjoy long meals without hurrying.

Longoria also loved the lack of traffic in Spain. She said that because the area in which her family lived was free of traffic she walked a lot. Longoria revealed her Mexican and Spanish roots in an interview conducted in November 2014.
In her cover story in Marie Claire’s “Age Issue”, Longoria revealed that her family spent the last few years dividing their time between Spain, Mexico and Spain before finally relocating to Spain. She explained that their time away was due to change.
According to Longoria she noticed changes in L.A. prior to the pandemic, which made the city feel worse. “Whether it’s homelessness or taxes, it’s not that I want California to sh-t,” she declared.

Longoria said that unlike most Americans she was fortunate to have been able to escape from “this dystopian nation.” She was saddened that Trump had returned to power and claimed that if he kept to his promises “[America] will be a frightening place.”
Longoria did not move because Trump won the election, despite her active campaigning for Kamala and stopping Trump’s reelection. She clarified the issue days after the cover story was published, in a call to The View: Behind the Table Podcast.
Longoria said to Ana Navarro in the episode of November 15, 2024 that she did not leave the country due to the political climate. She also explained that her job took her abroad, and that she found the reports speculating she left the country because Trump was “divisive.”

Longoria said that she was more prepared and patient to become a mother in her 40s. After spending forty years focusing on herself, she was “blessed’ to have a baby later in life. She prioritized her family above work.
According to Longoria she would never accept roles or projects which took her away from home. If she agreed to do something that interfered in her family life, it was probably something she loved and someone she wanted to work with.
