The 50-1 outsider had won the Grand National 2022 in the final ride of Sam Waley Cohen’s amateur jockey career. Waley-Cohen said, “He gave us a great day and fulfilled our dreams.” “He was brilliant for me and was one of these special horses. Owner Robert Waley Cohen, who purchased Noble Yeats just two months before winning the National, said that the horse was very uncomfortable on Wednesday. The vet came out, and everyone stayed up all night to treat him, hoping he’d pull through. Unfortunately, he did not.
