NEWYou can now hear Fox News articles. A Kansas man allegedly attempted to kill his boat’s captain in Hawaii during a snorkel tour. Police say that Avery Nissen, 21, of Overland Park Kansas, stabbed the 62-year old male captain on Thursday, during a 3-hour snorkel tour. Nissen was charged for second-degree attempted killing, first-degree and second-degree attacks. According to KHNL the injured boat captain is Stanley Lurbiecki who has been in the boating business for many years. The 62-year old man was stabbed in the head, hands and lower abdomen. The motive for the alleged assault is unknown, according to police.
