During the conversation, this mother of two revealed that she and her sisters had opened a clothing store called Dash in the Los Angeles suburb Calabasas before working on the series.

Khloe explained to us that her mother had presented the idea of filming a show. However, they were more concerned with ensuring the success of their store. After some convincing, the three sisters agreed, but not for the reasons that many may think.

Khloe told PEOPLE that her mother tricked them into doing it by saying, “Think of it like a commercial for the shop.” “Because that’s all we wanted [to do].”

Khloe says Dash had ‘no employees’ at the beginning

Khloe said Dash was a labor-of-love. “We had no employees. It was just Kourt and me,” she said before revealing that they did “everything,” including the cleaning, taxes and steaming. “We did not have a single employee.” “We didn’t know what we were doing.”

How did Dash get started? According to Khloe they started the business as a joint venture with their late father Robert Kardashian who opened a credit card for them many years before his passing. “When my father passed away, [Kourtney] was using a credit card in my dad’s names, but it was actually her credit card,” said Khloe.

Khloe continued to say that they realized the credit limit was $50,000, so they loaded the necessities on the card. Khloe explained that they “didn’t know anything about buying and we didn’t know anything about location.”

Dash closed its doors in 2018

Dash expanded as the show gained popularity. Locations were opened in Los Angeles, New York City and Miami Beach. There was a 2015 spinoff, “Dash Dolls”, which ran for a season on E!

According to PEOPLE, the girls finally said goodbye to Dash by sharing the sad news online.

Kim wrote: “After almost 12 years, my sister and I have decided that we will close our DASH stores.” “We opened our very first store in 2006 as a family and since then, we have created so many memories that will last a lifetime.” It’s been a huge part our lives, from opening locations in Los Angeles and Miami to our Dash Dolls spinoff show.

Kim explained that the growing empires of their companies prevented them from giving all they had to Dash. “We’ve both been very busy with our own brands and our families, while also juggling work and family life. “We know in our heart that it’s the right time to move forward,” she continued.

One Dash employee was reportedly held at gunpoint

TMZ reported that a Dash employee had been held at gunpoint for a terrifying experience a year before the company closed its doors.

The outlet reported a woman walking into the store pointing a gun at a cashier while ranting against Cuba, saying “Free Cuba” or “Stay Away from Cuba.”

The alleged gunwoman started knocking things around, but left before the police arrived.

Dash Store was sued in 2016

In 2016, a blind person sued the Kardashians store for discrimination.

The Hollywood Reporter obtained the lawsuit in which Andres Gomez accused the company of being “inaccessible for the visually impaired.”

The legal documents stated that the company’s site was not compatible with the software he uses to browse on the internet.

Gomez argued the lack of accessibility to the website violated the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
