According to ICE, Fratila was arrested on March 12, 2025 in North Carolina for a probation infraction. The Guilford County Sherriff’s Office notified ICE Charlotte of her arrest. “ICE lodged a detainer with Guilford County on April 17, asking that they not release this child predator into the community,” ICE director Todd M. Lyons stated in a press statement. “Fratila Ilies is a legal permanent resident but she has been convicted of sexual crimes against a minor, which means that she is subject to removal.” She is currently in removal proceedings, and ICE stands ready to deport her if a Department of Justice immigration court orders it.
