Minor Hotels Announces Anantara’s Caribbean Debut in Turks and Caicos

Minor Hotels, an international hotel owner, operator, and investor, announced plans for its luxury Anantara to debut in the Caribbean. The Anantara Turks & Caicos Resort & Residences is scheduled to open in 2029. It will further strengthen the brand’s expansion worldwide. Anantara Turks and Caicos Resort & Residencies will bring a contemporary aesthetic to the island’s natural calm. The Miami-based architecture and design firm RAD and Meyer Davis is renowned for their work on some of the most iconic luxury residential and hospitality projects worldwide. This quieter, more natural expression offers a rarer sense privacy, space and natural beauty along the long stretches of coastline. The project takes advantage of the easy access to the destination, its global appeal and its well-established market for luxury living. It also responds to the rising demand for branded residences in highly sought after resort locations. The development will feature a private marina connecting it to the surrounding cays and the wider archipelago.ADVERTISEMENTWellbeing shaped by land, sea and skyAnantara will respect the slower pace in North Caicos by introducing a new expression rooted in privacy and authenticity, as well as a deeper connection with nature, bringing wellness directly from the landscape. The full-service Anantara Spa will be inspired by native species, medicinal plants, and flowering botanicals found in the resort’s gardens. An on-site observatory, which takes advantage of minimal light pollution, will add a celestial element to the leisure offerings, with activities based on lunar cycles, planetary alignements and seasonal shifts. There will also be night-time relaxation practices, sleep-focused experience and sunrise practices. Tennis, padel, pickleball and yoga courts are complemented by a fitness centre and a yoga studio, as well as a dedicated water sport centre and multiple pools. This holistic connection between nature, wellbeing and the resort will continue in the resort’s signature cuisine, which is enriched with herbs-led infusions, and ingredients from the on-site gardens and orchards. Relaxed beachfront venues with feet in the sand, a wine bar and a rooftop bar for sunsets will continue this theme throughout the resort. The designs reflect a refined island oasis that is elevated but deeply connected to its context. Dillip Rajakarier Group CEO of Minor International – the parent company of Minor Hotels – said: “Introducing Anantara in the Caribbean is a milestone for our group.” The Turks and Caicos Islands are among the world’s most recognised luxury destinations, and North Caicos provides an ideal setting for our experiential and sustainability-driven approach to hospitality. This project is a key one for us in the Americas. It reflects our commitment to expand into destinations that support meaningful traveling, while also expanding our luxury foothold in North America. It aligns with our growth ambitions. Caroline Domange, CEO and co-founder at LVMH of Octans, a member of the project’s owner team, said: “Very few places offer the convenience of both serenity and the extraordinary turquoise water, beach and natural beauty which have made Providenciales internationally renowned. The preserved shores of North Caicos, and its people, bring an even greater feeling of calm and joy. The Anantara brand and its focus on holistic experiences and attention to detail have become hallmarks for their properties all over the world. It is a natural fit for the deeply embedded culture of well-being in North Caicos and marks the beginning of a new chapter for luxury lifestyles in the Turks and Caicos,” commented The Honourable Charles Washington Misick, Premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands.Anantara Turks and Caicos will be easily accessible either via Providenciales International Airport (PLS), followed by a short private boat transfer directly to the resort’s marina, or via North Caicos Airport, which is currently undergoing redevelopment to further enhance private-flight access to the island.Branded residences are now available for pre-sale, with more information available at www.anantaraturksandcaicos.com Anantara continues to develop its offering through strategic expansion in key destinations worldwide.
