He is now 6-3 up in his World Championship match against former winner Kyren Wilson. Moody, who hails from Halifax, just 50 miles from the Crucible made an immediate impact with a break 84. He then took the following two frames, including a 91 break, to lead 3-0, before Wilson won two consecutive frames. Moody responded with two centuries, 110 in frame 6, and 101 in frame 7. Wilson won the final frame to reduce the deficit. Moody is 44th in world rankings. He had to win two qualifying matches. On the day before the final match, last Tuesday he was in hospital with tonsillitis. Moody, against medical advice discharged himself from hospital before playing and beat China’s Jiang Jun, 10-9, thanks to a century on the deciding frame.
