Nancy Guthrie case sparks clash as FBI Director Kash Patel rips sheriff

He stated that his agency was kept “out of loop” at first. “Patel voiced criticism during a Tuesday appearance on the podcast “Hang Out With Sean Hannity”. He said that the FBI was ignored by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department during the first four days after Guthrie’s disappearance, as time was a factor. “What we do, the FBI, is to say, ‘Hey we’re here for help.’ Patel asked Hannity, “What do you need?” “What can we help you with?” Patel asked Hannity. We were kept out of this investigation for four days. “Patel said that the FBI was ready to act quickly but was not allowed to do so. Pima County sheriff Chris Nanos sent DNA evidence to a private lab for testing in Florida instead of the FBI lab at Quantico. “They said we’re sending it down to Florida’, and then I don’t remember how long. It’s up to them. They have jurisdiction. “He said that the decision to send the evidence to a lab private instead of the FBI’s facility, delayed the possibility for faster analysis. “We could have analyzed the evidence within days and possibly gotten better or more information.
