Prosecutors warn Anna Kepner’s stepbrother shouldn’t roam free after alleged cruise ship murder

The 16-year-old is charged with first degree murder and aggravated sex abuse. The government claims that he was released under juvenile law but that now that the case has been transferred to adult charges, the judge should re-evaluate whether he is still free. The defense says he can remain free until the judge makes a decision. Christopher Kepner, Anna’s father, told the outlet that he is outraged that he has not been arrested yet, despite being federally charged as an adult. “That’s the problem. The teen was initially charged in February.
