Suspect accused of hurling chainsaw at deputies during chaotic stolen car chase caught on video

The incident began on April 19, just before midnight, when a woman reported that her vehicle was stolen from an apartment building in the Parkland, Washington area. Within minutes, a K9 deputies spotted the driver and initiated a stop. However, the driver refused to stop and sped off, sparking a police pursuit. As the suspects exited toward a logistics gate, the stolen vehicle became stuck near a roundabout. The police chase ended with a truck explosion and fire in a dramatic scene captured on camera. The deputy was heard broadcasting the description of the driver as he wore “black pants and white shirt” while officers set up a perimeter. The video shows the tension as the K9 locates the passenger. Deputies shouted commands such as “Hands Up” and “Get On Your Stomach”, ordering the suspect to lie flat on the floor and show his hands before he is taken into custody. Officials said he was expected to face a number of charges, including first-degree assault for allegedly throwing a chainsaw and other objects at deputies. He would also be charged with possession of motor vehicle thievery tools and attempting elude. Officials say he has been charged with felony eluding, theft of a vehicle and possession of motor vehicle theft tools.
