Her husband, Ryan Reynolds has also entered the conversation. There have been increasing speculations about how involved he might be behind the scenes. However, insiders insist he is standing firmly at her side.

The revelation of Lively’s unsealed texts has added another layer to the scrutiny that surrounds her Hollywood status.
The actress’s brand, once regarded as bankable after the success of “Gossip Girl,” has suffered in recent years due to the sustained media attention she has received and her ongoing legal dispute with her “It Ends with Us”, co-star.
Fans are now pointing to the date August 21, 2024 as a pivotal moment. Sanford Panitch (President of Sony Pictures Entertainment) allegedly called the actress “un-hirable,” and said she would “never again work.”
Another party in the same exchange suggested that Lively could recover by “apologizing to that reporter.” Panitch, however, reportedly doubled-down, saying she was “done for” and that she would have avoided the situation if she had “protected her show.”

Lively’s legal fight has also suffered a major setback in recent weeks.
The actress filed a complaint of sexual harassment against Baldoni back in December, accusing the actor of orchestrating a smear to damage her reputation. The actor denied these allegations and filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband Reynolds as well as their publicist Leslie Sloane.
Baldoni’s lawsuit claimed that the three had worked together to undermine Baldoni and take control over the film. The court dismissed the countersuit.
Lively’s case has been narrowed down significantly. Judge Lewis Liman dismissed 10 of her 13 claims including sexual harassment and libel. The ruling leaves only three claims in play: breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetining retaliation.

Lively is also facing harsh criticism within the industry.
According to the Daily Mail a Disney executive claimed this month that the actress’s lawsuit had effectively ruined her standing in Hollywood. He said that studios might be reluctant to continue working with her.
The insider who allegedly worked for Lively told the outlet that “this lawsuit has ruined her” in Hollywood.
The source went on to say that the actress has a long-standing reputation as being “difficult” and described her as “one those toxic people who thinks they know best.”

Lively, despite the situation, has stated that she is not willing to settle. She said in an Instagram post that she is looking forward to proving her claim in court. The trial is scheduled to begin in New York on May 18.
Her attorney Sigrid Mccawley wrote in a written statement that the actress of “A Simple Favor”, looks forward to “testifying and continuing to shine a bright light on this vicious online retaliation to make it easier to detect and combat.”
She said, “This case will always be and remain focused on the devastating revenge and the extraordinary measures the defendants took in order to destroy Blake Lively’s reputation because she stood for safety on set. That is the case going to trial.”
