The sari is painted with blue and green orchis, evenly distributed across the body, on a dull, soft ivory background. The pallu also features a striking floral accent. The blouse’s clean neckline and elbow length sleeves complement the sari’s understated appeal, while staying true to its minimal aesthetic. The stems are adorned with gold hand-embroidered gota, adding to their romantic appeal. Cut from raw tissue silk, both the kurta & trousers have a heavy feel, giving them weight and form. The sleeveless top was left unadorned to let the fabric’s matte sheen and natural slub stand out. The wide trousers were embroidered with intricate borders in mukaish and geta work, in muted shades of rose gold, maroon and sage. She wore a brown Georgette dupatta over it to make the palette feel both fresh and archival. It was embellished in a constellation-like pattern with sequin embroidery and hand-embroidered mirror-like flower appliques.
