12 standout looks from Genelia Deshmukh’s Indianwear closet

The sari is painted with blue and green orchis, evenly distributed across the body, on a dull, soft ivory background. The pallu also features a striking floral accent. The blouse’s clean neckline and elbow length sleeves complement the sari’s understated appeal, while staying true to its minimal aesthetic. The stems are adorned with gold hand-embroidered gota, adding to their romantic appeal. Cut from raw tissue silk, both the kurta & trousers have a heavy feel, giving them weight and form. The sleeveless top was left unadorned to let the fabric’s matte sheen and natural slub stand out. The wide trousers were embroidered with intricate borders in mukaish and geta work, in muted shades of rose gold, maroon and sage. She wore a brown Georgette dupatta over it to make the palette feel both fresh and archival. It was embellished in a constellation-like pattern with sequin embroidery and hand-embroidered mirror-like flower appliques.

Why yoga (and Pilates) is just as important as strength training with weights

As evidenced by the number of boutique Pilates studios in London, Mumbai and Los Angeles, low-impact workouts like yoga and Pilates are more popular than ever. More and more people are opting for the calm of a reformer or yoga class instead of the shouty HIIT workouts. Dr Vicente Mera is a longevity specialist at Sha Wellness Clinic. He suggests focusing on three different areas. David de la Fuente Franco is a sport scientist from the University of Nebrija and he believes that the formula to remember is a 2:1:1 ratio. If you have the time, you can try to do two strength workouts in a week, two cardio workouts, and one stretching or meditation session. For example, you could start your week with a spin or jog on Monday, and then a relaxing Friday morning yoga class can be an excellent way to end a busy week. She says that both workouts help us to improve our balance and stability. Yoga for longevityExperts on longevity also praise a regular practice of yoga. Dr Nigma Talib is the author of Reverse the Signs of Ageing. She says that there are studies that show two 90-minute sessions of yoga per week can reduce inflammation by up to 20%. Harvard research shows that yoga can help you develop a positive relationship with yourself and your body by focusing on self-awareness and meditation. Stretching improves your training in generalStretching is an essential part of any low-impact workout and, as previously mentioned, incorporating it into your routine will have positive knock-on effects on other workouts. According to osteopath Francisco Moreno, stretching helps improve flexibility and strengthen muscles over time. “Strong muscles adapt to the demands of daily exercise and movement,” he says. This will not only reduce your risk of injury but also increase the effectiveness of your workouts. Regular stretching improves your muscle coordination, recovery and blood circulation. It also reduces daily aches and discomforts. This story was first published on Vogue.es.

Are we all just watching Euphoria season 3 for Maddy?

You’ll find that people who have watched Euphoria Season 3 will all have very different opinions. Some find it visually sumptuous, a kaleidoscopic delight fit for the big screen. Others call it a “grubby and humourless work that is obsessed with sex work and repulsed by it”. For many, including myself, it’s a bit of both: stunningly beautiful but a bit gnarly at times. We can all agree that there is one thing. Alexa Demie, 35, plays the character Maddy Perez who is the baddest and most captivating. We only hear her for a half-hour. AKA the real MVP in Euphoria’s third season. The action takes place five years after the characters left high-school, and Maddy is now working at a Hollywood agency. Despite her modest income, Maddy’s wardrobe is full of sheer blouses, sleek basics and gold crucifixes. Her fringe was gelled and pressed to a perfect “C”, on her forehead. Natasha Newman Thomas, Euphoria costume designer, told British Vogue Maddy was her favorite character to dress, largely because Demie is a “fashion dictionary”. Redditors have already started to track down her on-screen looks, probably because it feels the most “now”. Newman-Thomas explained to the New York Times that an entry-level employee appears so high-class by wearing Jimmy Choo shoes and perhaps her boss is throwing away her Gaultier suit from the ’90s. Maddy is ambitious, but she keeps her cool. She’s astute and nonchalant. She gets her job in the way that most of us only imagine in our distorted daydreams. She tracked down her prospective employer and sat next to her at a coffee shop. She says, “I know that my generation is entitled to certain things, but I do not believe anyone owes anything to me.” She says, “I won’t be a HR nightmare. I believe in capitalism. I’m not a vicitm. She knows what a Gen Xer who is time-poor, over it and generally cynical wants to hear. After inviting Maddy for a drink, ostensibly to apologise for stealing her boyfriend, she goes on to mine her for advice on how to make it as an OnlyFans girl-slash-influencer. She knows that Maddy’s opinion, with her sharp eye for details and blunt delivery, could significantly boost her success. Maddy, resplendent with a vintage Dolce & Gabbana Bustier and an overlined lips, says that the market is already saturated with girls like Cassie. She then suggests Cassie has bad taste. Cassie asks, “What do you think ‘taste” means?” Maddy replied with an eyebrow raised, “The ability of discerning quality and a high standard of aesthetics.”

Horoscope Today: April 22, 2026

Does the fact that fairies and elementals never appear to be around make their magic less powerful? Yes and no. Yes, for those that don’t believe and no, for the believers. Virgo is a logical but not completely logical soul. You are familiar with that deep feeling which arises from your gut or soul, however you wish to describe it. You know it all too well. Libra, if you’ve been carrying the dead weight of missed chances, unresolved relationships, arguments, and even unexpressed emotions, it’s time to lift this weight. Who says that you have to be a tough guy to make a difference and a change? Leo, a sultry fantasy can make you shiver while leaving everyone else in awe. Leo, this paradox is at the core of your life. You are this paradox, Leo. Shine brightly, but remember that warmth is what sustains life, not scorching heat. Your choices and your paths will be different for the time being, Aries. You’ve been planning a lot, more like in your mind. While it was necessary at one point, what you need now is your ultimate presence in mind, body, and soul. Get your hands dirty and start building. This will awaken the magic that is latent inside. Cosmic tip: Don’t wait for your life to begin moving. Start moving it right now. Put a little pep in your step, and a song on your heart. Taurus, the cosmos is lifting your spirits in more ways than one. You love living this way. What kind of memoirs might you write if you knew that the life of your spirit was immortal? Remember to be flexible and that your soul has planned and often required each detour. When you feel distorted and confused, remember to breathe, hydrate, exercise, eat healthy foods, listen to positive music, and be kind to yourself. You are more aware than you realize that your body is listening. Cosmic tip: Sometimes conceding is better than winning an argument. Listen to your inner voice. Listen to the voice you feel getting lost in the external world. It may be crumbling under the weight of a million responsibilities or even at war with itself. Now is the time to be very patient with yourself and all your inner worlds. You need to be guided by your wisdom, not by the books you’ve read or the knowledge that you’ve acquired. Your path is unique and yours alone. It is not what others have thought and achieved. Dare to rebel but remember to find your voice and reason before you can do so.

The 10 best hairstyles with bangs to switch up your look

Bangs have always been a sign of a new phase in life. They don’t require a complete haircut overhaul but can completely change your mood by adding the right amount of experimentation, or softening the edges. Hairstyles with bangs are no longer a risky decision. They’ve evolved from wispy fringes to glamorous updos. Today, they are versatile, expressive, and surprisingly adaptable to different face shapes, hair textures, and personal styles. What are the latest bang styles? Right now, bangs can be adapted to any occasion. According to Ganesh Sapal, creative director of The White Door Atelier: “Curtain fringes are still the most requested style in salons because they are versatile and easy to grow out. Wispy bangs provide a more romantic, easy-going finish.” Micro and baby bangs, on the other hand, are gaining popularity for their bold, fashionable appeal. A key trend is the move to personalised fringes. These don’t necessarily follow the latest trends, but rather tailor the cut to suit your face shape, hair type and daily routine. “Nothing too heavy or structured. Curtain bangs are the most popular, as they frame the face beautifully, and grow out easily. Softer, wispy edges create a natural look without being overpowering. Sakpal says that the foundation of great bangs is understanding your face shape. “Oval faces are able to pull off any style, while round faces benefit by elongating styles like curtain or side swept bangs. Square faces can balance angular features with softer, wispy styles. Heart-shaped faces look great with brow-grazing and side-swept styles to offset a wide forehead. He explains that fuller, blunter bangs are a great choice for longer face shapes because they can visually shorten the proportions. They can also be used with different textures, but a tailored approach is required. As Yashwant explains straight hair allows for greater precision, whereas wavy hair is best suited to softer, more flexible, fringes. “Curly hair has the most interest. You can achieve incredible results if you understand shrinkage and movements. What to consider before getting bangs. Bangs may seem effortless, but they require maintenance. Regular trimmings every 2-4 week are necessary to keep them looking intentional. Your lifestyle is also important: humidity, workouts, or rushed mornings may make styling more difficult. Daily maintenance plays a larger role than many expect. “The key to a good bangs is to dry them properly and use minimal products, especially during humid weather,” says Yashwant. “Blow-dry your bangs on medium heat after a shower, while brushing them through. This helps prevent frizz. Avoid heavy styling products as they can weigh down the fringe.
