Denim miniskirts are summer’s answer to jeans

Though these minis are unmistakably high fashion, bearing the Dior label on their inner waistbands, they inspire denim minis of every variety. Radio DJ Sara Cox, an avowed fan of denim miniskirts, was inspired to wear them after spotting them on the runway, as she revealed in a personal tribute penned for Vogue earlier this year. It’s been a while since I last wore a denim miniskirt. “But witnessing how Jonathan Anderson revived it at Dior made me realize that perhaps, just perhaps, I should come full circle,” she concluded. Jonathan’s designs are so influential that many will share her sentiment, and unsurprisingly, his denim mini skirt ideas have also shaped the broader fashion industry. Denim miniskirts come in every cut, color, and wash from high-street and designer brands, perfect for pairing with a casually tucked-in white tee, tank, or slightly unbuttoned shirt—or even a tricorne hat, should someone fancy it. As Anderson demonstrated, the possibilities are virtually limitless. This spring, the denim mini provides a lighter option compared to jeans. ₹ 7,337.
