Fans React As Ruby Rose Accuses Katy Perry Of Sexual Assault

Ruby Rose has sparked a firestorm online after posting explosive claims about Katy Perry, drawing shock, support, and skepticism from fans in quick succession. What began as a blunt response to Perry’s remarks about Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance evolved into Rose revealing personal allegations she says she had kept private for nearly two decades. As reactions poured in, the actress continued posting, outlining why she finally chose to speak out.

The allegations surfaced in a social-media thread tied to Perry’s response to Bieber’s Coachella set. In a circulated screenshot, Perry joked about Bieber’s YouTube livestream, and Rose weighed in with what she described as a serious claim: that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her at Spice Market nightclub in Melbourne. The accusation instantly shifted the conversation from light commentary to a full-blown online debate, with fans scrambling for details and questions about how to respond.

One commenter warned that you can’t drop a bomb like that and then walk away, and others expressed disbelief while some urged Rose to elaborate. Rather than retreat, Rose stayed in the thread and began explaining why she had remained silent for so long. She said she had discussed the incident before but never told the whole truth because she didn’t know how to process what happened. She recalled that after the incident she vomited, and she had previously framed the story as a “funny little drunk story” because she didn’t know how else to cope. She also cited that Perry later helped her secure a U.S. visa, which further complicated her decision to speak out. She noted she was in her early 20s at the time and is now 40, explaining that nearly two decades had passed before she could say this publicly.

As the thread continued, some commenters dismissed the allegation as a joke or a reference to Perry’s past song, while Rose pushed back with a more graphic account of what she claimed transpired. Another user’s quip about Perry’s hit “I Kissed a Girl” was met with resistance, with Rose insisting there was more to the story than a pop-song pun.
