He also opened up about his parenting, explaining that his goal was not to raise “jerks.” “That’s all I put my mind to, not forcing any doctrine on them. Not too many guardrails,” he said. “Just be there and make them be cool and nice and kind and sort of interested in other people. And not self-obsessed.” He added that his aim was to lift their heads up to the world and help them become good people, and he believes they did.
