On March 17, the actor posted a behind-the-scenes glimpse of receiving his first genuine tattoo, applied by artist Oscar Jordan Urbina on his upper arm. He selected a design drawn from Cyrus Dallin’s early-1900s sculpture “Appeal to the Great Spirit,” portraying a Native American on horseback linking with a “divine power,” per the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The piece also shaped the Beach Boys’ Brother Records logo, representing “artistic freedom and trust in a higher creative path.” Stamos described the tattoo as symbolizing his personal path toward creative freedom and confidence in pursuing his artistic impulses. “Recently, I’ve experienced that same draw in my own life, embarking on this new career phase, making bolder moves, and letting the work guide me wherever it goes,” he wrote.
