Sambalpuri patta saris, crafted in Odisha’s Sambalpur, Bargarh, and Sonepur areas, are renowned for their detailed ikat method, where warp and weft yarns are tie-dyed prior to weaving to produce the signature feathered pattern. They frequently incorporate motifs like conch shells, wheels, florals, and temple-inspired shapes, embodying the visual language of Odisha’s textile heritage. In Dixit’s sari, the motifs stood out in vibrant pink on an electric blue background, creating a strikingly vivid weave.
