NYC teen shot dead on Queens basketball court as bystanders filmed; police searching for gunman

NEWS: You can now listen to Fox News stories! Authorities in New York City continue to search for the shooter of a 15-year old boy who was killed in Queens. Jaden Pierre was approached on a basketball court in Roy Wilkins Park by several teenagers. A shot was fired and struck him in the chest, according to New York Police Department. He was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he died. I knew him from playing basketball here. I’m praying to God for his family and loved ones. I will continue my tireless efforts every day to stop gun violence in New York. “Pastor Cory Brooks of Project H.O.O.D. said in a Fox News Digital statement that his heart was “shattered”, as he condemned those who filmed the attack rather than intervening. Brooks wrote that a 15-year old child was “hunted down, beaten and shot in cold blood.” “In a play area. Where laughter belongs. Not execution. “His statement continued, “The crowd didn’t run for help. They grabbed their phones, recorded each brutal second and cheered like it was entertainment. This video is not just a document of a murder. It exposes a whole generation whose conscience was seared by moral darkness.
