​We know we need to eat calcium-rich foods for optimal bone health (who among us hasn’t drunk a glass of milk every night as a child just to grow a few inches taller?), but this vital nutrient does a lot to keep our bodies functioning properly. “Calcium is the most abundant and essential mineral for our bodies,” says Samantha Dieras, director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services at Mount Sinai Hospital. “It’s most notable for its role in bone and teeth health, but it also supports muscle and nerve function and is involved in blood clotting.”. While calcium can be found in supplements and multivitamins, the best and easiest way to consume calcium is through foods. Dieras says to look at dairy products and vegetables as main sources of nutrients. You’ll also find plenty in some of your favourite fish dishes and fortified foods. The most common calcium-rich foods that you can incorporate into your diet include the following:. Milk. One can’t think of calcium without thinking of milk. According to the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), one cup of whole milk contains 306 milligrams (mg) of the nutrient.. Yoghurt. Another dairy product you can turn to for your calcium fix is yoghurt. The USDA says that 100 grams (g) of plain yoghurt contains 127mg of the nutrient.. Cheese. A love of cheese also has its health benefits. It is packed with calcium and according to the USDA, half a cup will get you 289mg of calcium.. Chia seeds. These small seeds pack a nutritional punch. Two tablespoons provide 180mg of calcium, along with fibre and omega-3 fatty acids.. Salmon. Packed with vitamins and nutrients (and really delicious if you love fish), salmon is one of the healthiest food options you can consider. According to the USDA, 3 ounces of salmon with bones contain 181mg of calcium.. Kale. Vegetables often don’t get talked about enough when it comes to high calcium content, but they’re a great non-dairy option. One cup of kale, for example, has 177mg of calcium, according to the USDA.. Broccoli. Dieras says another easy vegetable to incorporate into your diet for calcium is broccoli. According to the USDA, 100 g of the vegetable contains 46mg of the nutrient.. Bok choy. This leafy green typically found in many delicious Asian dishes is packed with calcium. The USDA says one cup will get you 185mg of nutrients.. Spinach. There are very few downsides to eating spinach (unless you’re allergic, of course). Packed with so many vitamins and nutrients, it also contains 245mg of calcium in one cup when cooked.. Tofu. You can reach almost half your required daily intake of calcium with tofu. According to the USDA, ½ a cup contains 434mg of the nutrient.. Sesame seeds. These tiny seeds are surprisingly rich in calcium. Just one tablespoon contains around 88mg of calcium and they can be easily added to salads, stir-fries or smoothies. Tahini, a paste made from sesame seeds is also a good source.

​Isha Mukesh Ambani attended the Oscars 2026 in a vintage Valentino couture gown drawn from the house’s Fall/Winter 2006–2007 collection. The strapless silhouette combines a structured black bodice with a champagne-toned skirt covered in densely worked floral embroidery.. Across the neckline, a smooth black band runs straight across the chest, creating a sharp frame for the strapless cut. From that line, the embroidery begins immediately, spreading across the bodice in clusters of raised flowers worked in shades of violet, rose, blue and pale yellow. The threadwork carries small beads and sequins that catch the light, giving the surface a dimensional quality rather than lying flat against the fabric.. Isha M. The embroidery continues downward across the champagne base, thinning gradually as it moves into the skirt. Individual floral sprigs appear scattered across the lower half of the gown, allowing more of the satin ground to remain visible. Along the sides, deep black panels run the length of the dress, narrowing the silhouette and creating a strong vertical line that contrasts with the softness of the floral work.. Jamie Mizrahi styled the archival piece with pink and white diamonds from Lorraine Schwartz, including a black ribbon choker, matching earrings and rings. Her hair was worn half-up with the lengths falling straight down the back, while the makeup stayed understated with strong brows, warm-toned eyeshadow and a nude lip–don’t miss the pale pink manicure tying into the soft romance of the ensemble.. Beside her, Anand Piramal wore a tuxedo featuring a burgundy jacquard dinner jacket, black lapels and classic black trousers.. “The Valentino number flirts the fine line of romantic and period drama. The strapless silhouette really brings it to that contemporary red carpet space. Why not amp up the ethereal romance, with a chiffon translucent cape instead of the choker,” says Divya Balakrishnan, Vogue India fashion associate.  

​Tonight, the 2026 Oscars saw Hollywood’s best and brightest bring out their finest looks for the red carpet. (See the best-dressed stars of them all right here.) And while all the custom designer fashions had spectators buzzing with excitement, it was hard to draw the eyes away from all of the blinding jewels that accompanied them.. From high-carat diamonds to extremely rare sapphires, tonight’s top stars were dripping in baubles that cost millions (and likely came with several bodyguards as their dates).. Highlights included Kate Hudson, who wore over 41 carats of rare green diamonds by Garatti—worth $35 million—to match her green Armani Privé gown. Equally blinding were Anne Hathaway’s jewels; the star donned Bvlgari’s Neoclassical Starlight high jewellery necklace, with an 8.02-carat pear-cut fancy vivid yellow diamond at its centre, set within a detachable pendant and surrounded by pear, round, and step-cut diamonds (totalling over 35 carats).. Kate Hudson wore over 41 carats of rare green diamonds, worth 5 million, by Garatti. Pieces included a custom-made necklace with a 16-carat fancy green diamond, surrounded by 49.85 carats of white diamonds. She also wore green diamond earrings and rings from the label.. Damson Idris, for one, wore a bespoke brooch from his own luxury jewellery brand, Didris, featuring a 7-carat marquise blue diamond surrounded by 42 natural diamonds. As for the best watch of the evening? That would go to Shaboozey, who sported a Chopard watch in 18-carat white gold set with diamonds.. ​There are always a few surprise cameos at the Oscars, and the 2026 ceremony was no different. When it came time to hand out the coveted Oscars for best costume design and best hair and makeup on Sunday night, no less an authority on fashion than Vogue Global Editorial Director Anna Wintour was joined onstage by Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway, presenting the awards to Frankenstein costume designer Kate Hawley and hair and makeup artists Mike Hill, Cliona Furey, Jordan Samuel, and Megan Many.. Needless to say, there were bits aplenty. “Anna, just curious… what do you think of my dress tonight?” Hathaway asked nervously—to which Wintour replied simply and brutally: “And the nominees for best costume design are…” (Yes, this was a playful reference to Hathaway’s role as a beleaguered fashion assistant in the 2006 film The Devil Wears Prada. And no, we can’t wait for the sequel either.) In case you were wondering whether you imagined that ever-so-subtle TDWP reference, Wintour then said, “Thank you, Emily,” to Hathaway, so… yeah, you were right! (FYI, Wintour’s very real assistant, actually named Emily, was also on the scene at the Dolby Theatre.). Wintour was wearing Dior, while Hathaway was dressed in a Valentino gown—a touching tribute to the late designer. Hathaway had a notably close relationship with Valentino, attending his funeral in Rome (along with Wintour) in January and writing on Instagram shortly after his passing: “…He was… my dear and cherished friend who educated me, raised me, sent me flowers every year on my birthday, made me laugh, was my dancing and karaoke partner on so many joyful nights, and who made my world so much brighter, grander, and more delightful than I could have ever understood it to be.”.
