Trump posts graphic video of slaying to argue for stricter immigration policies

Trump shares graphic video of killing to push for tougher immigration rules. Six hours ago. Ik weet het niet zeker. Posted by @realDonaldTrump on Truth Social. A Haitian migrant stands accused of a deadly beating at a Florida gas station in a brutal assault that President Donald Trump highlighted to push for tougher immigration measures. Rolbert Joachin faces homicide charges after allegedly repeatedly striking a woman with a hammer and killing her on April 3, U.S. officials announced Friday. Trump posted a graphic video of the attack and renewed his demands to terminate deportation protections for Haitian migrants. In February, a federal judge temporarily halted the Trump administration’s effort to revoke these protections for over 350,000 Haitian immigrants, who hold Temporary Protected Status (TPS) allowing them to live and work in the U.S. Trump posted on Truth Social that the video of the killing is “one of the most vicious things you will ever see.” He stated that “this one killing should be enough” for judges to cease “impeding my Administration’s Immigration Policies.” The video, also posted online by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), depicts a man hitting a woman in the head with an object, causing her to fall backward onto a sidewalk. He then strikes her six more times on the head and torso before walking away. “It’s senseless.” “It’s a video you can never unwatch,” said Micah McCombs, special agent in charge with Homeland Security Investigations, at a Friday press conference. Local police asked ICE for help in locating Joachin in Fort Myers.
