Verdura Resort, one of Europe’s top golf destinations, will host the inaugural Sir Rocco Fore Captain’s trophy from September 10-13. This exclusive event brings together world-class sport, culture, and conversation. Colin Montgomerie will be the star of this event, as he is one of golf’s most accomplished players. The eight-time European Tour Order of Merit champion and Ryder Cup legend, Colin Montgomerie, will give a driving range demonstration to guests. This will allow them to see the techniques and approaches that helped shape one of golf’s most illustrious career. The four-day event, which will take place on the two championship courses of the Sicilian resort, will include a 36 hole Stableford tournament. It will also feature a series of talks, dinners, and guest sessions that cover topics such as golf, economics, and finance. The tournament will have a format that balances a competitive environment with a friendly and entertaining atmosphere. It will be directed Donato di Ponziano, the golf development supervisor at Rocco Forte Hotels. The competition is open to amateur golfers who are registered with their respective federations. It will be played in two rounds on the East Links Course and the West Shore Course. The competition will be divided into three handicap categories.
