Officers from the Atlanta Police Department were dispatched around 1:30 am Sunday to the intersection of James Jackson Parkway & Bolton Road over reports that street racers were “driving recklessly and blocking the roadway for citizen motorists. They also performed illegal drifting maneuvers known as “donuts”,” authorities said in a press release. As officers tried to break up the chaos, several individuals fled on foot and in cars. Follow us on X Body-camera video revealed the moment that officers pursued an individual on foot while additional officers conducted traffic stop involving two nearby vehicles, the department stated. The officer can be heard shouting “You better stop before i Tase you” as the suspect ran towards a nearby residential area. Authorities report that 18 people between the ages 17 and 25 were detained following the incident. The police also found multiple firearms during the search and impounded both vehicles involved in this traffic stop. The Atlanta Police Department expressed its gratitude to the Georgia State Patrol in a recent statement.
