US actor Nicholas Brendon, famous for his lead role in the cult TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has passed away at age 54. Brendon’s family confirmed via a social media statement that “he passed in his sleep of natural causes.” They added: “He was passionate, sensitive, and endlessly driven to create.” Those who really knew him recognized that his art was one of the purest expressions of his true self. “Most people know Nicky for his work as an actor and for the characters he brought to life over the years.” In recent years, Nicky has discovered his passion for painting and art. Nicholas Brendon portrayed Xander Harris in Buffy the Vampire Slayer across seven seasons from 1997 to 2003, serving as the best friend to the lead character, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar.
