He was later identified as Donald James Joseph Arthur Fields (48). According to authorities, the investigation revealed that Fields had allegedly sexually assaulted the victim before authorities could intervene. Fields has been charged with kidnapping and two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, felonious assualt, three counts felony firearm, and felon in possessing a firearm. He is currently being held at Wayne County Jail, after the judge deemed that he was the “ultimate risk” to the community. Wayne County Prosecutor Kym worthy said that the victim was walking in broad daylight and was sexually assaulted. “Despite the trauma she had just experienced, her quick thinking saved her life.
