‘Not About Choosing Sides’

Eminem defended his guest verse on Kid Rock’s new faith-based album, saying their long friendship overshadowed their political divide.
Rock released his new LP Halfway 2 Jesus on Friday, with Slim Shady — a fellow Detroit native and longtime friend of the rocker — appearing on the track “Heal My Faith.”
The collaboration drew some criticism from some of Eminem’s fans who were taken aback that the rapper — who publicly endorsed Kamala Harris at a Detroit rally in 2024 and has been critical of Trump on tracks like “Campaign Speech” — could collaborate with Kid Rock, perhaps Trump’s biggest (and most relevant) supporter in the music industry.
As Eminem explained on social media hours after Halfway 2 Jesus was released, “Not about choosing sides, just choosing to make music with my old friend. Praying for all of us.”
Kid Rock elaborated on the collaboration in an interview with Billboard, revealing that while Eminem was first announced as a guest on the song “7 Sins,” the rapper instead appeared on “Heal My Faith,” the song Rock initially recruited him for. “We agreed we didn’t need two songs together…people are going to think we’re dating,” Rock said.
“We’ve been friends for, like, 40 years. I really didn’t want to drag him into my political world…. We talk about [politics] a little bit, not a ton. There’s a lot of stuff we agree on, and we can have a laugh about what [we don’t]. That’s why I asked him to write a verse for me.”

“From shock rap to the rock rap / My homie and me /He is my brother, not my political enemy,” Eminem raps on his verse. “B.O. to the B. / We wrote this for those who believe in G.O. to the D / However you voted or lean / Liberal and evangelical can agree / It’s God first, home of the free.”
“This [album] is about forgiveness and second chances,” Rock told Billboard. “Trying to heal some of the division in our country. I’m just putting a positive message out there in the world… showing a little more grace, trying to kill some of the division.”

Sia Settles Custody Battle With Estranged Husband Daniel Bernad

Sia and her estranged husband Daniel Bernad are finally putting their nasty custody battle in the rearview mirror … reaching a settlement over their young son … TMZ has learned.
According to court docs, obtained by TMZ and submitted by Sia’s attorney, disso queen Laura Wasser, the former couple has agreed on a custody schedule for their son, Somersault Wonder Bernad, affectionately known as “Summi.”
Sia will remain his primary custodial parent, while Daniel will have generous visitation.
They’ve also worked out a schedule for holidays and vacations, agreed to work with a parenting plan coordinator, and established a process for deciding where Summi will attend preschool.
As TMZ reported … the “Unstoppable” singer and Daniel had been duking it out over custody of Summi … with Daniel previously accusing Sia of being a danger to their child and demanding full custody.
Sia denied the allegations and scored a victory when a judge rejected Daniel’s emergency custody request … though the two were later ordered into mediation to work out their differences.
This month marks one year since Daniel sought emergency custody and revealed an LAPD investigation into child pornography found on one of his computer hard drives. His request was denied … and Sia has remained Summi’s primary custodial parent ever since.
The former couple reached an agreement in April requiring Sia to pay Daniel $42,500 a month in child support, while sharing legal custody and splitting holidays with their son.
And there’s been plenty of money drama outside the custody fight … Daniel previously demanded more than $250K a month in spousal support … while Sia recently sold half her music catalog for a whopping $180 million.

Kendall Jenner Sparks Feud Speculation After Snubbing Kylie Jenner’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Debut

Is there a sister feud bubbling under the surface within the Kardashian-Jenner family? Fans are beginning to speculate after Kendall Jenner skipped little sister Kylie Jenner’s surprise appearance at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Sunday, October 18.
Kylie, 29, surprising fans was striking, per The U.S. Sun, as Kendall, 30, is a professional model and has walked the show before. Kendall did not participate this year, nor was she spotted in the crowd.
Among the onlookers were Kylie’s partner, Timothée Chalamet, along with mom Kris Jenner and her partner, Corey Gamble, per the U.S. Sun. Older siblings Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian were absent, as well, but touted the mother of two’s milestone achievement on their Instagram Stories. Kendall did neither.
Kourtney Kardashian was also silent, but the oldest sibling is notorious for focusing her page on her own life with husband Travis Barker.
The night before Kylie’s debut, Kendall was spotted with Jacob Elordi at the 6th Annual Academy Museum Gala. Images from this event dominated Kendall’s Instagram Stories over the weekend. There were none from Sunday’s VS Fashion Show.
Fans latched onto Kendall’s silence about Kylie, with the U.S. Sun citing a Kardashian Reddit thread that erupted in the wake of her absence. “Kendall broke that ceiling and then Kylie stole her thunder,” wrote one fan. “Things must be so so toxic between them now.”
One user speculated the family influenced Kylie’s inclusion, writing, “I can only imagine the thoughts [Kendall’s] having about all of this… I’d be [expletive] livid if my sister bought her way into that show.” Another echoed the sentiment, adding, “If I were Kendall, I would hate Kris/Kylie for life tbh. I know she is not a dedicated model but at least she was/is in that world.”
As In Touch previously reported, Kylie made her mark Sunday as the first non-Angel to wear the coveted Fantasy Bra, a $50 million diamond-studded garment created this year in collaboration with Jacob & Co. and not seen since 2018, per Vogue. Kylie accessorized the look with white underwear under a sheer miniskirt, clear heels, and white feathered wings.

Gwyneth Paltrow to Star in A24 Drama ‘The Apology,’ First Lead TV Role

Gwyneth Paltrow has taken her first-ever lead television role in an upcoming A24 drama series titled “The Apology,” which has landed a two-season order at Netflix.
The Oscar winner will play Evelyn Amspoker, whose son was murdered 18 years ago in a cold case that gripped the nation. “When a stranger suddenly appears and confesses, justice finally seems possible,” per the logline, until Evelyn and her husband, Caleb, learn the killer may get off with a reduced sentence. “Faced with that unbearable truth, Evelyn and Caleb decide to take matters into their own hands.”
The show hails from creator, showrunner and writer Joe Murtagh (“The Woman in the Wall”) and director Thomas Vinterberg (“Another Round”). Joe Hipps of Cut To executive produces alongside Murtagh, Vinterberg and Paltrow. A24 is the studio.
While Paltrow’s filmography includes star-making turns in “Emma,” “Sliding Doors,” Shakespeare in Love” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley” — as well as major roles in the “Iron Man” franchise and “Marty Supreme” — her career on television is less illustrious. Paltrow had a five-episode run on “Glee” as Holly Holiday and had a supporting role in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series “The Politician.” She has guest starred in random projects but has never led a small-screen title.
The ambitious two-season order for “The Apology” comes amid an executive shake-up at Netflix, which followed an announcement that the company was laying off 6% of its employees. Chief content officer Bela Bajaria was ousted from the streamer last week and was replaced with Peter Rice, while head of film Dan Lin left the company on Monday morning. Meanwhile TV boss Jinny Howe, who oversees U.S. and Canada scripted series, has weathered the storm.
Deadline broke the news.

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!
Donnie Wahlberg is thanking God and the pilots who helped prevent a “serious disaster” after the private jet carrying him and seven others skidded off a runway at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.
On Sunday, Wahlberg — who had just performed with New Kids on the Block during the final show of the band’s Las Vegas residency — took to social media to recount the incident and thank the pilots and God for keeping everyone on board safe.
“Getting a lot of concerned messages and texts about my flight’s failed attempt at leaving Las Vegas this morning,” he wrote in the caption. “I appreciate your concern and well wishes.”

“I made this video for my friends and family after the incident, but so many of you all are my family too so I figured I’d share with you,” Wahlberg continued. “Yes, it was me and my team/friends onboard the aircraft.”
“It was a rather intense few moments, which felt like a few long minutes,” he added.

In a video filmed after the incident, Wahlberg said the plane never made it into the air.
“We’re all okay. I’m okay,” he said. “We were taking off and didn’t get up in the air and ran out of runway.”
“I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives,” Wahlberg continued. “God covered us. I’m not sure how many fences we avoided, we didn’t avoid the last one.”
Wahlberg also said the plane narrowly missed trucks, heavy equipment and dumpsters near the end of the runway.

“God is good,” he said. “I just finished praying, and I looked out the window and said, ‘We’re not going up in the air today, but we’re safe and thankful.’ All is good. Praise Jesus.”
In his Instagram caption, Wahlberg praised the pilots and emergency personnel who responded to the scene.
“Thankful to God, of course, and to our incredible pilots who did an amazing job of keeping us safe and avoiding a serious disaster,” he wrote. “The airplane did take some lumps — but we did not.”

“Thank you to all the emergency personnel on the ground in Las Vegas! You all were absolutely wonderful,” he added. “All glory to God! By His grace, we are all ok.”
Wahlberg’s wife, Jenny McCarthy, reacted to the incident in the comments section of his post.
“God is so good!” McCarthy wrote.
Harry Reid International Airport spokesperson Monika Bertaki confirmed to the Associated Press that the aircraft skidded off runway 1L at approximately 11 a.m. Sunday and made contact with the airport’s perimeter fence.
“At approximately 11 a.m., upon departure, a general aviation aircraft skid off runway 1L at LAS and made contact with the perimeter fence,” the airport said in a statement shared on social media. “There are no known injuries at this time.”
The airport said runways 1R and 1L would be closed for inspection and warned travelers that they could experience delays.
The airport posted an update later that day confirming that both runways had reopened following inspections.
An air traffic control recording circulated on TikTok captures a voice saying, “Aborting. Aborting,” after which an air traffic controller confirms that emergency vehicles are en route.
A representative for Wahlberg did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Jon Stewart to stay at ‘The Daily Show’ through the 2028 election

Jon Stewart will remain at the helm of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” through December 2028, extending his once-a-week hosting role through the next presidential election.
Skydance announced the two-year extension on Monday, resolving uncertainty about Stewart’s contract, which was due to expire in December.
The new deal means one of television’s most prominent critics of President Donald Trump is staying in place for the rest of Trump’s term.
Stewart will continue hosting on Monday nights, an arrangement in place since January 2024, and serving as executive producer of the series. The satirical newscast’s correspondents “will continue to share hosting duties Tuesday – Thursday,” Skydance said.
The agreement is Stewart’s longest extension since returning to the program, following two successive one-year renewals.
And it is one of the first major programming announcements from the newly enlarged Skydance, which was formed earlier this month when Paramount Skydance acquired Warner Bros. Discovery, CNN’s parent company.
“Jon Stewart is a generational talent and The Daily Show continues to be one of the most influential franchises on television and a cornerstone of Comedy Central,” George Cheeks, Skydance TV’s co-chair and chief content officer, said in a statement. “We are excited to continue our partnership with Jon and his award winning news team.”
The decision to keep Stewart comes amid financial and political scrutiny of late-night television — including last year’s decision by Paramount’s prior management to cancel “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Stewart was an executive producer of his friend Colbert’s show and harshly criticized the cancellation, rejecting Paramount’s financial justification and accusing the company of bending the knee to the president.
Viewers wondered at the time if Stewart might be next to be canceled, especially given Skydance chief David Ellison’s efforts to establish close ties with the Trump administration.
Ellison hosted a dinner honoring the president earlier this year, and after the Warner merger closed, Trump praised Ellison and his father, billionaire Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, as “terrific people.”
When Ellison was asked about Trump after the merger took effect, Ellison emphasized that his company had relationships with politicians from both parties in the US. “It’s important to talk to everyone on both sides of the aisle,” he said. “We don’t want to politicize.”
Stewart originally left “The Daily Show” in 2015, handing the program to Trevor Noah, who departed in December 2022. Stewart’s 2024 return brought a familiar face back to the franchise during that presidential election cycle, and this new agreement keeps him in place through the next one.
