Video Game vs. Live-Action Fighters
Round one…fight!
“Street Fighter” is back on the big screen for a new take on the popular fighting game video series that started back in arcades in the 1980s and is still popular today.
Paramount and Legendary’s live-action movie takes place in the ’90s and follows a worldwide fighting tournament that brings together challengers from around the world. The roster includes Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) and his childhood friend and training partner Ryu (Andrew Koji), who have appeared in every “Street Fighter” video game. There’s a colorful cast of fellow characters like Chun-Li (Callina Liang), M. Bison (David Dastmalchian), Cammy (Mel Jarnson), Vega (Orville Peck) and more. The cast also has several real-life martial arts fighters, WWE stars and wrestlers, like Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile and Oliver Richters as Zangief.
Kitao Sakurai, who’s helmed episodes of “Beef,” “Dave” and the “Eric Andre Show,” directs the movie, which previously had Danny and Michael Philippou (“Talk to Me,” “Bring Her Back) attached. It’s actually the third “Street Fighter” movie, following 1994’s self-titled film and the 2009 release “Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.” The 1994 “Street Fighter” had a cast with Jean-Claude Van Damme as Guile, Ming-Na Wen as Chun-Li, Damian Chapa as Ken, Byron Mann as Ryu and Kylie Minogue as Cammy. “The Legend of Chun-Li” was a notorious flop and included Kristin Kreuk as Chun-Li, Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog and Black Eyed Peas singer Taboo as Vega.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs transferred to new prison in Pennsylvania: BOP
Rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was moved from a New Jersey prison to one in Pennsylvania, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said Friday.
Combs was transferred from New Jersey’s Fort Dix to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania, the bureau confirmed.
The Bureau of Prisons said in a statement, “We can confirm that Sean Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Allenwood Low. For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer.”
A representative for Combs shared a statement with ABC News on Friday, acknowledging the move.
“Decisions about inmate placement are made by the BOP, and we are not in a position to speak to the circumstances surrounding this transfer,” according to Combs’ rep.
The statement continued, “Sean remains focused on moving forward, and we hope that his time at the new facility will be productive and without unnecessary disruption.”
Combs was briefly hospitalized last weekend
Combs was taken to the hospital briefly for a head injury over the weekend, according to multiple sources familiar with the situation.
He returned to prison early Sunday morning after being taken to the hospital on Saturday.
The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on the incident for safety and security reasons.
“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” Combs’ representative told ABC News when reports of his hospitalization surfaced. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
Multiple sources previously told ABC News earlier this month that Combs was expected to be placed into the Special Housing Unit at FCI Fort Fix.
Combs’ current release date is March 2, 2028, according to inmate records.

Harry Styles Concert Doc Coming From John Wilson
Harry Styles has invited one of the buzziest documentary filmmakers on the market behind the curtain of his historic Madison Square Garden residency.
John Wilson, the director behind indie box-office surprise “The History of Concrete” and HBO’s “How To with John Wilson,” has been rolling cameras on Styles at MSG since August, two sources with knowledge of the project said.
Wilson is capturing footage for a doc expected to be a hybrid of live performances and a glimpse into Styles’ world. One source described it as featuring authentic human stories of everyone involved in the tour —from the singer and his fans to countless others behind the scenes.
Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures and Styles produced the project. UPCG will own global rights to the film. Though distribution plans are still being worked out, insiders said the doc may be positioned for a theatrical release via Universal.
Styles is currently in the midst of the largest single-engagement residency ever at MSG, part of his “Together, Together” tour. It began in late August and is set to run through the end of October. The show has created plenty of viral moments and provided ample short-shorts. Reps for the singer, Wilson, and Universal had no immediate comment. Social media lit up over the weekend thanks to a fan-snapped photo of Wilson trailing styles with a camera.
Wilson’s got a knack for interrogating the mundane, as well as highlighting the absurdity of humans and the levers that make them work. He may seem an out-of-the-box choice for a glossy pop music documentary, but not if you’re paying attention to current sensibilities. Look at Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, whose Elizabeth Holmes project “You Can See Everything” is burning up the specialty box office this weekend. Fielder started in the realm of absurdist comedy, and with the Holmes project moves into a world of watercooler high crimes and compelling fourth-wall breaking. Billie Eilish recruited “Titanic ” and “Avatar” mastermind James Cameron to direct her own theatrical concert opus “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour,” which was released in theaters this summer.
Wilson began his career directing music videos. He is repped by UTA.

Josh Brolin says he became a full-time stock trader after Hollywood stopped calling
Josh Brolin said he wasn’t taken seriously as an actor until 2007’s Oscar-winning “No Country for Old Men” — and in the years before landing the movie, he had a short career as a full-time stock trader.
The 58-year-old son of actor James Brolin told Theo Von on his “This Past Weekend” podcast that despite early success on “The Goonies,” his career in Hollywood was going nowhere.
Before he was cast as Brand in “The Goonies,” he said he went to “350 auditions,” and people told him, “It’s not for you.”
He said the ’80s classic was his first time ever in front of a camera, admitting, “I ruined the first day of shooting ’cause I couldn’t stop laughing” because he was so nervous.
Soon after making “The Goonies,” he went to New York to study acting and do theater. He said that he “took it seriously,” and he “had 22 years of taking it seriously because nobody was interested until really I did ‘No Country,’ and then ‘No Country’ kind of changed s—.”
During that period, Brolin said he worked as a landscaper for a year and then became a stock trader when he was 30, “for almost five years full-time.”
“I was really good at it,” he admitted, explaining that he worked from home using three screens, “four tabs per screen.”
He said he did both swing trading and day trading.
“I made more money in those four years, really … than I had made in 20 years acting. But I didn’t really make hardly anything acting.”
“Day trading I loved, man,” he added.
Even after he found critical acclaim in the industry, the money wasn’t blowing him away.
For “No Country for Old Men,” he said he was paid $100,000, “so I cleared what, $30,000? That’s not considered a great year.”
But his Hollywood career began to turn around quickly after that.
While filming “No Country for Old Men,” Brolin said he sent in an audition tape for “American Gangster” with his 16-year-old son playing Denzel Washington’s part.
“And that’s the last audition I ever did,” he said.
Brolin is now starring in the thriller “Whalefall,” about a diver who is swallowed by a whale. Brolin plays the main character’s estranged father.

Tyler Perry Purchases Puerto Rico Home For $30 Million
Madea may soon pop up in Puerto Rico … because Tyler Perry bought a massive mansion on the island — and TMZ has learned he plans to shoot some projects down there.
Sources confirm to TMZ … the movie mogul has just closed on a $30 million, 14,475-square-foot home which sits on nearly 1.4 acres of land.
The 5-bedroom, 10-bathroom home was built in 2021 and sits in a gated community on the island.
Tyler’s new digs feature a movie theater, an open-concept kitchen, a pool, and a gym.
It’ll be a nice place for Tyler to unwind after a long workday… and we’ve learned he does plan to work while he’s down in the Caribbean — our sources say he’s opening a production office and will shoot shows on the island … but don’t worry, his Atlanta studios are still up and running.
Tyler’s just the latest celeb to move down to PR in recent years … Logan and Jake Paul live on the island now — and celebs like Paul Rudd and Mariska Hargitay have been spotted vacationing down there as well.
There might not be a ton of soundstages in Puerto Rico … but it sounds like Tyler’s house is big enough to accommodate any of his set needs!
