Cold case breakthrough solves teen killing after suspect lived free for decades: ‘Better be afraid’

According to the Michigan State Police, Roni Collins, a 75-year-old resident of Grand Blanc has been named as Elliott’s killer. She was last seen on Nov. 16, 1983 when she walked to the bus stop from her home in Flint. She was never seen again. She was reported missing several hours later when she failed to return home from school. According to the Michigan State Police, Roni Collins, a resident of Grand Blanc aged 75, has been identified as Elliott’s murderer. On Nov. 16, 1983 Elliott left her Flint home to walk to the school bus stop. She was never seen again. She was reported missing a few hours later after she failed to arrive home. It was terrible. “But we went and handed out missing signs to everyone you know in your neighborhood and town, and stores would display the missing in their windows,” Elliott’s Aunt, Judy Sika told FOX 66. Elliott’s body, discovered four days after she disappeared in Saginaw County, was found in a ditch. According to authorities, an autopsy revealed that she had been sexually abused and shot multiple times.FOLLOW FOX TRUE CRIME ON X “You just don’t realize how horrible it is when they tell you that they found her body,” Sika said on FOX 66. “That was awful. The students helped reorganize and digitize decades of investigative materials, providing crucial support to the renewed investigations,” MSP stated in a press release. The newly reexamined information led police to Collins. However, he committed suicide in January before authorities could get a voluntary sample of DNA. This is not the first time that forensic genetic genealogy has been used to help investigators solve a long-unsolved crime. Myers continued, “Then you begin to determine who is the most likely suspect.” “It usually comes down to three or four people.” Sometimes, it may be one person that stands out. If you combine that with someone who has been a badboy their entire life, then there’s a good possibility that this is who you are. “LIKE WHAT YOUR READING?” Find out more on the TRUE CRIME HUBAccording to Myers the testing of cold case evidence comes with the possibility that the samples have been damaged over time. The implementation of genetic genealogy, however, has made it easier for the investigators to do more with less. Myers said that they can now get DNA from just a single strand of hair, rather than a hair strand with a hair follicle. “In the 1980s and 1990s, a nickel-sized spot was reduced to a dime. It’s now three to five cells of skin – you can hardly see it. This is the DNA. “CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD FOX NEWS APPIn the wake of yet another cold-case being solved through genetic genealogy testing, Myers insists that the new technology is likely to act as a dissuader for aspiring criminals. They may rethink committing crimes because of the increased chance of being caught. Myers told Fox News Digital that investigative genealogy was more comprehensive and a larger thing. “But if they are on top of their game [investigators], you better be scared, because they will get it.”

Hundreds of activists face pepper spray in violent clash with deputies at Wisconsin beagle research facility

NEWYou can listen to Fox News articles now!Hundreds of animal rights activists converged on a Wisconsin breeding and research facility Saturday, forcing local law enforcers to use tear gas and rubber bullets to maintain peace. “It was obvious from the start that this would not be a peaceful demonstration,” Dane Country Sherriff Kalvin Barrett wrote on Facebook. “The DCSO’s response to the active break in attempts by hundreds protesters was appropriate, proportionate and appropriate to the behaviors observed. We were able maintain order with the help of our partner agencies without any serious injuries. “Wayne Hsiung was arrested on probable cause within minutes of arriving on the property for conspiracy to commit a burglary,” the sheriff’s department said. Hsiung had previewed the protest earlier this week on the “Tomi Lahren Is Fearless’ video podcast. The department posted on Facebook that “The Sheriff’s Office had pre-planned a tier-based response to resisting the dogs, if necessary.” “The response was appropriate and strategic to the activists’ actions. The confrontation began at 8:52 am local time in Blue Mounds Wisconsin, when organizers suddenly moved up the previously announced Sunday protest. Authorities said that about 1,000 activists had gathered there after organizers abruptly changed their plans. Animal activists are ready to fight for the beaglesHsiung was being held in the Dane County Jail on Saturday. Hsiung, an animal welfare lawyer, was being held Saturday in the Dane County Jail. “This is bravery that can change the world. We cannot give up the dogs. If we remain focused on this goal, the repression may backfire.” Rep. Mark Pocan, D.-Wis. represents this district and just this week called out President Donald Trump’s Health and Human Services secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on this topic. Pocan shared a video of his House Hearing questioning on X. “In my district, a facility that breeds beagles called Ridglan farms has hundreds of code infractions, including serious harm to dogs’ health. Yet the NIH still gives funding to groups who use beagles bred at this facility,” Pocan wrote. “I asked Secretary Kennedy to stop the practice. “FAUCI UNDER IRE OVER A REPORT ALLEGING NIAID Spent $400K ON RESEARCH INFLECTING DOGS with PARASITES. Former President Joe Biden’s administration has long criticized the use of beagles for animal testing. “I believe you but I have a difficult time believing that,” Biden responded. “I have to investigate this.” Kennedy said that “we have done more than any administration to end animal tests,” Kennedy continued. He claimed that “we have ended most of them.” “What you describe should not be happening,” he continued.GOP TARGETS TRANSGENDER ANIMAL TESTING TO DEFUND DEMAND FROM NIHThe White Coat Waste Project has been actively pressuring the Trump administration about the beagles tests, claiming that “RFK literally lied” to Congress regarding the continued funding of animal testing. According to WCWP Senior vice president Justin Goodman. Goodman wrote in X that “in truth, they have given over $126,000,000 in new funding to cat and dog labs since RFK assumed office.” “Since the first day of RFK’s tenure, he had the authority to cut funding overnight for these grants. He has admitted it. He has instead kept them alive. “Senior NIH officials and HHS officials contacted us and told us to stop talking. They even abused their power (and federal ethics laws) by contacting our board and urging it to disavow the criticisms we made about the continued funding of dog and cat tests. “We have a list of receipts that prove all of this. “Fox News Digital contacted HHS, NIH and Pocan’s Office, as well as Goodman, for comment. They did not respond immediately. The activists took matters into themselves on Saturday. Barrett said 300 to 400 demonstrators were “violently breaking into the property” in addition to assaulting officers. Barrett, in a video posted on social media, said that the protest was not peaceful. He accused demonstrators of ignoring designated areas and blocking emergency access roads. Officials said that some protesters were peaceful, but those who continued to ignore warnings and tried to enter the property, were met with tear gas first as a deterrent. According to the sheriff’s department, as the confrontation intensified deputies used less-lethal 40mm ammunition and pepper balls. Authorities also said that a driver was arrested for recklessly driving through the property without stopping it before law enforcement, calling the incident an potentially deadly threat. Hsuing’s X account announced his arrest with a statement that said, “Only a corrupt system would use tear gas and rubber balls against peaceful activists who are saving dogs.” “We are witnessing the worst of humanity today. In the courage of rescuers is also the best. “Deputies, however, said investigators recovered what they described as burglary tools including saws, fence cutters and sledgehammers, along with handcuff keys and tear gas allegedly carried by activists. The sheriff’s office said activists also tried to divert law enforcement resources during the attempted breach by overwhelming Dane County’s 911 center and flooding the department with phone calls.PENTAGON’S ‘BARBARIC’ DRUG TESTING ON BEAGLES RAISES HACKLES OF PET-LOVING POLITICIANSSaturday’s clash marked the second high-profile protest at Ridglan Farms in recent weeks. In March, activists entered the facility to remove 30 dogs. This led to the arrest of 27 people for trespassing, among other charges. Ridglan Farms houses approximately 2,000 beagles and has denied mistreating the animals. The facility agreed to surrender its state licensing effective July 1, 2015 in a deal that avoided prosecution for animal mistreatment charges. However, it continues to deny abuse and neglect. The protest was publicized ahead of time, with plans to seize the dogs from the property on Sunday. Some activists were frustrated that no animals were removed as the effort stalled.

Michael David Hicks (59), Frank Maiwald (61), Nuno Loureiro (47) Jason Thomas (45) Amy Eskridge (34) and Carl Grillmair (47), all of whom died between 2023-2026, played a vital role in scientific research. Eskridge, a Huntsville, Alabama-based researcher, died June 11, 2022, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Monica Reza, 60; Melissa Casias, 53; Anthony Chavez, 79; Steven Garcia, 48; and retired Air Force General William Neil McCasland, 68, were all reported missing throughout 2023 to 2026, with each of their disappearances occurring under suspicious circumstances.RETIRED GENERAL WHO ONCE LED AIR FORCE RESEARCH LABORATORY GOES MISSINGSome scientists vanished from their homes, with others disappearing on hiking trails and other public areas. Experts believe that the disappearances of these individuals could be related to their research and work, even though they do not seem to be connected. According to Greer, “certain significant federal agencies have concluded that legacy programs have been associated with UFO, UAP, research and development and have been involved in a criminal group.” Donald Trump, in response to renewed public interest, has promised to investigate the mysterious disappearances of the various scientists. “I just came from a meeting about that topic. The NNSA is aware of the reports involving employees of our laboratories, plants, and site and is investigating the matter. “Greer believes that the federal government should step in and provide more protection for whistleblowers, as they work to solve the mystery of the mysterious deaths and disappearances. “Even if it sounds like something out of a James Bond film, it’s not a joke. The United States government has failed to provide adequate protections for these heroic and patriotic individuals. “Fox News Digital’s Peter D’Abrosca, and Morgan Phillips, contributed to this report.
