Kanye West’s career comeback continues to be challenged by the mounting backlash due to his past comments praising Hitler or anti-Semitic remarks.
Poland has become the latest country to cancel the rapper’s concert scheduled for the Slaski Stadium on June 19, 2018.
Kanye West’s full-page apology ad in an established news outlet hasn’t helped to repair his damaged brand following years of controversial remarks.

Kanye West’s potential comeback has been dealt another blow after officials in Poland cancelled his upcoming stadium concert.
The management of the Slaski stadium in Chorzow confirmed on Friday that the concert originally scheduled for 19 June 2026 will no longer be held.
The venue cited “formal legal and formal reasons” for its decision, but the announcement came after the Polish government announced they’ll be seeking to ban the planned concert.
According to the Daily Mail, Adam Strzyzewski said that the concert scheduled for June 19, 2026 at the Slaski stadium would not be held due to legal and formal reasons.
West’s comments could have inflamed Poles as a large number of Jews perished in Poland during World War II. The country was at the epicenter of Holocaust and more than 90% of the Polish Jewish community was murdered by Nazi Germany.
“In a nation scarred by the Holocaust’s history, we cannot pretend this is just entertainment,” Polish culture minister Marta Cienkowska stated on Thursday.

Poland isn’t alone in closing its doors to the West because of its offensive past comments.
The Home Office announced earlier this month that it had prohibited West from entering the U.K. for the Wireless Festival in London, scheduled to take place in July.
In a statement, Prime Minister Sir Keir starmer said that Kanye West shouldn’t have been invited to headline Wireless.
“This government stands with the Jewish Community and we will never stop fighting to defeat the poisonous antisemitism. We will always take action to protect the public and uphold the values we hold dear,” he said.
The festival was canceled after many critics called out the organizers who had overlooked West’s previous offenses.
The situation was made worse when several corporate sponsors like Pepsi, Diageo and others pulled out of the event.
West was also scheduled for a performance in France on the 11th of June at the Marseille Velodrome Stadium, but this has also been cancelled due to pressure from all sides. The rapper has still been able perform in the U.S., and Mexico.

West’s cancellations come after he published a full-page apology in the Wall Street Journal. He explained that his bipolar disorder and other mental health issues were to blame for his actions.
According to The Guardian, he wrote: “I am neither a Nazi nor an antisemite.” “I love Jewish People.”
The rapper of “Praise God”, who apologized for any harm he may cause, said he was “deeply horrified” by his previous behavior and that he is now “committed” to accountability, treatment and meaningful change.
West said that as a child, doctors failed to diagnose the frontal-lobe injuries he sustained in a 2002 car accident.

West wrote that he lost touch with reality due to the medical issue. This led him to gravitate towards “the most destructive icon I could find, swastika.”
The father of four revealed that he had previously suffered a four-month manic phase of “psychotic paranoid and impulsive behaviors that destroyed my life”, and led to suicidal thoughts.
West found comfort in the fact that other people were like him on Reddit. This helped him realize that he wasn’t alone.
He said that medication, therapy and exercise, as well as “clean living,” helped him see clearly and channel his efforts towards making “positive, meaningful” art.
Kanye West had a huge performance in the U.S.

It remains to see how he will handle his repeated cancellations and disapproval. He recently sang on a rotating globe stage in front of 80,000 people at the SoFi Stadium, in Los Angeles.
He performed with his daughter North West and other top artists, including Travis Scott.
Many of his fans have expressed their displeasure on social media and that they have dropped all issues with him since his apology.
