Bartender who served missing American’s husband in Bahamas says one detail about timeline doesn’t add up

A bartender, Ken, 38, who worked at the Abaco inn, revealed to the New York Post, that Brian and Lynette were drinking rum and cokes at the hotel pool during the early evening of April 3, according to the New York Post. Local police said that the couple moved their boat to Elbow Cay the next day. Brian Hooker told Bahamian authorities that his wife, Lynette, fell off the dinghy around 7:30 pm on April 4. He also stated that Lynette had the ignition key. Ken said Brian thanked Ken for getting the drinks quickly. Ken said that Brian was saying, “Oh man, thankyou for getting me served so quickly”… because it was crowded. “I was shocked when I heard about it, definitely.” He said that he didn’t know the lady and didn’t have the opportunity to speak to her. Ken said, “It is strange… for him going from here to that, and then ending up in Marsh Harbour, but nobody saw the lady. It’s odd.” “What catches me eye is that they left here at 7 o’clock, 7:30, and [her disappearance] supposedly occurred right after they left, and he did not make it over to Marsh Harbour until 4 am or something similar, in 25 mph winds. “LISTEN TO ‘CRIME AND JUSTICE WITH DONNA ROTUNNO’ PODCAST”. It’s only four mile that way. It shouldn’t take eight to ten hours to get there. Even if he had been floating, he should have arrived much faster,” he said. While Brian Hooker flew out to the Bahamas on Tuesday to be with Lynette Hooker, his mother who is reportedly very sick, Karli Aylesworth’s daughter flew to the island to help with the hunt on Thursday. 2 killed in North Carolina when ‘planned’ fight escalates into shooting near middle school

Shots were fired just after 9:50 am during a planned fight between 2 juveniles at Leinbach Park near Jefferson Middle School, Winston-Salem. Police said that two people were killed and unspecified numbers of people were injured. Authorities said they had located several people, including victims and suspects. The number of people involved means that efforts are being made to track down everyone. Police said that some of the people involved in the incident were juveniles at this time. The North Carolina Bureau of Investigation said that the shooting took place in a nearby park, not at the school.

Mitchell Gaff, 68 entered his pleas in Snohomish County Superior Court on Thursday, where he admitted the rapes, murders, and muggings of Judith “Judy” Weaver and Susan Vesey. Gaff, a self-described rapist and “sexual sadist”, was linked to the killings when investigators matched DNA samples found on a piece Gaff’s gum to both crime scene, according to USA Today. Everett, according to police, was first arrested in May 2024 for charges relating to Weaver’s murder. He was arrested multiple times and eventually forced to register as a sexual offender. Gaff then launched a brutal assault on Brown, slamming the weapon into her head and beating her with it. Brown reportedly waited for Gaff to put down his gun before trying to escape. “I stood up and I was trapped. He said, ‘You are going to die now you [expletive]’. “Brown managed to escape, and Gaff was later convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and burglary in the case, according to the outlet. Gaff confessed that he had raped at least eight women and girls during the 1980s. Student charged, weapon recovered after 3 teens targeted in incident linked to high school tradition: police

Hawaii tourist charged with attempted murder, accused of stabbing veteran boat captain on snorkel tour

Police say that Avery Nissen, 21, of Overland Park Kansas, stabbed the 62-year old male captain on Thursday, during a 3-hour snorkel tour. According to KHNL the injured boat captain is Stanley Lurbiecki who has been in the boating business for many years. The 62-year old man was stabbed in the head, hands and lower abdomen.
