LinkedIn’s new Crosscheck feature lets premium subscribers test competing AI models for free

LinkedIn allows you to test the latest AI models by OpenAI, Anthropic and other companies, without worrying about token limits or having to pay for an additional subscription. LinkedIn is testing a new feature which allows users to test the latest AI platforms within LinkedIn. Crosscheck is now available to all LinkedIn Premium subscribers in the United States. According to Hari Srinivasan, Chief Product Officer of the company, this feature is intended to be a “blind tasting test” for AI models. Users are given a question and two answers, both of which are provided by different models. Only after you choose which model you prefer can you see the underlying models. Srinivasan states that Crosscheck is a “young product” from LinkedIn Labs, and that “there are still work to be done to make it faster and to add more models and questions types.” It already appears to support a wide range of models. In my initial testing of the feature, I saw multiple responses generated by Anthropic, Google, MoonshotAI and Mistral models. Crosscheck is limited to text-based prompts. You can’t upload files, generate images or use the more advanced tools available on AI platforms. There are no token limits and you do not have to sign up for a subscription if a model is helpful. The company explains that “anonymized data” is shared with model makers to help them understand the performance of their models amongst different occupations. Crosscheck is initially only available to LinkedIn Premium subscribers in the United States, but the company plans to expand it to other countries and free users “soon.” While Crosscheck is initially only available to LinkedIn Premium subscribers in the United States, the company plans to expand the the feature to more countries and free users “soon.”This article originally appeared on Engadget at https://www.engadget.com/ai/linkedins-crosscheck-feature-lets-premium-subscribers-test-ai-models-for-free-183949210.html?src=rss
