Rock Star, 74, Reveals Devastating Diagnosis

Kit Harington, star of Game of Thrones, will replace Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming Harry Potter season 2 on HBO. Hoult left due to scheduling conflicts. Harington will be playing this character for the second time. Harington voiced Gilderoylockhart in Harry Potter Full-Cast Audio Editions released last year. Harington confessed his passion for Harry Potter while working on the audiobook. He said, “I was fascinated by the series, just like many other generations. I was an avid fan throughout my teenage years.” Harington, in the featurette he appeared in, said: “I believe there is a bit of Gilderoy within all of us.” He was recalling an earlier time in his life when he may have used celebrity to gain entry into a French Club. Lockhart is a character from the second novel. He’s a fame-hungry, self-important wizard that Dumbledore hires to teach Defence Against the Dark Arts. Filming for the season will begin this fall.
GoFundMe was launched in order to help cover the medical and daily living expenses of guitarist Richard Lloyd (74), from Television. In March, the rocker Richard Lloyd was diagnosed with rare and aggressive bile duct cancer cholangiocarcinoma. Sean Seymour, Lloyd’s former bandmate, created the page. He wrote that Lloyd, because of his cancer, is unable to perform and earn money. His wife Sheila O’Keefe has also given up her full-time job in order to care for him. Richard, like many working musicians, is overwhelmed with crushing medical costs and ongoing monthly expenses while he cannot work. According to Seymour’s account, Lloyd is suffering from tumors on his liver, and another near a blood vessel that makes surgery impossible. Seven times he has spent time in ICU due to complications related to tumors. GoFundMe reached more than $40,000, or half its goal of $80,00. Patti Smith, the punk legend, confirmed that she gave $5,000 to Rolling Stone, “in appreciation for his contribution in Television, and beyond, which inspired us all”.

Many of us think that liver-focused supplements are only meant for those who suffer from hangovers or drink heavily. Alcohol is only a small component of this equation. The liver performs hundreds of functions including removing waste from blood, processing nutrients and supporting metabolism. It also produces bile. The digestive fluid is responsible for breaking down fats, and absorbing fat-soluble vitamin. Bile secretion and liver function can be less than optimal. This may cause digestive problems, such as bloating, stomach discomfort, or sluggishness.
If you have persistent digestion issues like bloating or irregularity or abdominal discomfort, you may want to give your liver some extra attention. Vitamin Shoppe celebrates Wellness Month in August with products that support digestion, metabolism and liver health. Our favorite liquid liver supplement is Dose For Your Liver.
Take Dose Daily for Liver
Dose for Your Liver is known as “liquid gold”. This nickname has been earned with good cause. Daily wellness shots are formulated using ingredients that have been traditionally used to support liver health. These include turmeric, milkthistle, ginger, dandelion and dandelion. Formula also includes bioflavonoids, other plant compounds, which support a healthy metabolism, digestion and liver function. It also tastes great. Its bright citrusy taste reminds me of SunnyD, the “orange juice” that I used to drink as a child, but without the sugar and artificial ingredients. You’ll get a mixture of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory botanicals that can support your body’s detoxification process and digestive health.
Dose for Your Liver is a great way to add a few popular ingredients to your daily supplement regimen without having to take another pill. The Vitamin Shoppe is offering a discount on a few bottles this month.

After convincing a couple that she was 12-year-old seeking asylum, a 38-year old serial fraudster received an 18-month sentence. Amanda Maria Souza de Oliveira cheated her southern Brazilian hosts for more than a year. She lived in a bedroom filled with toys, drank from bottles and celebrated a fake 12-year-old birthday. She claimed that her father had forced her to use hormonal supplements in order for her appearance to be more adult. The police reported that the couple were “emotionally abducted” by Oliveira before an online report revealed her long-standing history of age-defying scams in multiple states. Oliveira dropped the high-pitched voice and began speaking in her normal voice when officers entered her bedroom. She later admitted that she has been pulling this fraud for over 15 years. It is obvious that I misled people. I lied. She told the police that she did not mean to defraud anyone. The judge rejected her claim that she had a mental illness and convicted her for fraud. She is appealing.
The Mail on Sunday, a British newspaper, has released a new poll that shows the challenges facing Prince Harry Markle and Meghan as they try to bring the United Kingdom back by returning home after spending six years abroad. Only 27 percent of respondents approve their return. 34 percent are against it. 22 percent believe their return will weaken monarchy while 8 percent think it will strengthen. Harry and Meghan’s apology for suggesting that members of the Royal Family were racist is a stronger issue. 43 percent agree, while 26 percent disagree. The issue of security remains a contentious one. While Harry may be able to regain some state protection, only 2 per cent of respondents think that taxpayers should fund the security for Harry and Meghan. Just 16 percent of people think that the couple should be working as royals once again. These responses make it very clear that the public does not wish to see the Sussexes reinstated as royal representatives. What could possibly follow?

Target’s latest backlash is an ‘offensive’ Halloween costume

Target has apologized over a costume for Halloween that critics claimed evoked Blackface or minstrels shows from the 19th century.
This costume was sold under the name “Kids’ Glows Under Blacklight Circus Clown Halloween Costume.” It sparked a backlash on social media.
We are sorry. As a business, we realize that we made a mistake. Target released a statement saying that the costume was offensive and shouldn’t have been in their collection.
Target has recalled the seasonal Hyde and EEK Boutique costume.
This was just the latest of a string of blows to reputation that has hurt sales, from the handling of the Pride Collection 2023 through to policies on diversity equity and inclusion after Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
Target has joined the retreat of large corporations after Trump’s executive orders to eliminate “illegal DEI” and to support Black owned suppliers. Target said it had to keep up with “the changing external landscape,” which included efforts to increase representation of Black workers.
Black Americans, who had supported the retailer and helped it grow in its success, regarded this policy U-turn as betraying them.
Some Minneapolis shoppers have expressed their new dismay at the retailer that they used to call “Tarzhay.” Target, do you have no one left in Minneapolis who can say “Hey, this is racist?” “Y’all have cut DEI, and now your site has a kids’ minstrel costume,” said a user on Threads.
Target has pledged to improve after two quarters of resurgent sales under the new CEO Michael Fiddelke.
In a statement, the company stated that it was “particularly hurtful” to its Black customers, employees and partners. The company said that removing the costume was an important step. They are also investigating how the incident occurred and what changes need to be made to prevent it from happening again.

She called ABC’s “The View,” and said to her judge and guardian Sabrina Morrissey, who had declared her legally incapacitated, that they should “get off my back,” and declare, “I’m not cognitively impaired.”
The documentary “Clap If You care” seems to focus more on Williams’ career before the show ended. The documentary, says Peacock “celebrates ‘The Wendy Williams Show’s’ explosive rise, its cultural impact, and the fun it brought to people.”
The full logline is: “Skyrocketing to fame from her unlikely radio beginnings, Williams has redefined daytime talk with her on-screen antics on her long-running Daytime Emmy nominated talk show.
