“I Would Never Do That”

Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone has set limits to the spinoffs that he is willing to do. He has also ruled out a fictionalized Four Sixes Ranch version in Texas.
Sheridan stated in a recent interview that the previously-announced 6666 spinoff would not be happening.
He said, “There will never be one” on the Rodeo Time Podcast. I would never make up that ranch.
“People believed that this was going to become a trend, but I wouldn’t do it.”
Yellowstone’s fans thought that the spinoff would be set on the ranch after Jefferson White’s character Jimmy Hurdstrom was sent there in Season 4 by Jimmy Hurdstrom.
Sheridan stated, “I have all of the Jimmy at the 66666 scenes on my computer. They are arranged in a perfect movie.” You watch him enter as an outcast and then leave as respected cowboy and man.
Sheridan and a group investors purchased the ranch for 2020. They would not “trivialise” the working ranch “by inventing drama” or “making up stories.”
He continued, “I could never trivialize and fictionalize something that real people do work on and raise their families in. I would not be able to do this.” I could not do this to cowboys who have dedicated their lives and everyone else on the ranch. “I’m very protective about the Sixes. It’s my responsibility to take care of that ranch. I must be extremely careful.”
Paramount revealed at Upfront in 2022 that they were developing the Yellowstone sequel, 6666.
This series is set in a time when Comanches ruled West Texas. No ranch in America has a deeper history in the West as the 6666. The 6666, which still operates as it did more than two centuries ago, encompasses an entire county and is a place of rule of law, nature, and where one’s next move is often the most hazardous. The 6666 represents the relentless pursuit of raising the best horses and livestock and is where the most talented cowboys in the world are made.
Sheridan was signed as an executive producer, along with John Linson and Art Linson. 101 Studios, MTV Entertainment Studios, David Glasser and Bob Yari produced.
Yellowstone’s universe is not limited to 6666. The first episode of 1883 will be released in 2021. 1923 follows the next year. Marshals was released earlier this year and Dutton Ranch, set in Texas, followed shortly after.

Jason Sudeikis says it was a ‘joy’ for former cast member’s real-life sister to join Ted Lasso

Jason Sudeikis, star of Ted Lasso’s latest episode, has expressed his “joy” at having Cristo Fernandez (the real sister of Dani Rojas) join the cast.
Fernandez’s portrayal of Rojas, a vivacious footballer with the catchphrase “Football Is Life,” made him a favorite character.
Paloma Cico, Fernandez’s sister, plays Maria Rojas in the new season. She is an aspiring soccer player.
Sudeikis told Deadline that the series has tried to mimic real life relationships. He pointed out his wife, Mary Roscoe, who plays Jeremy Swift, Leslie Higgins’ on-screen spouse.
Sudeikis said, “I like when we do that.” We encourage people to choose someone who has chemistry with them whenever we feature a romantic interest in the show.
Sudeikis added: “The two of them, Cristo and Paloma’s sister who we all knew personally, are a pleasure to be with. This joy is still there in each of them. She did it so well and with such gusto. “She was funny and sweet.”
Cinco, in a different interview with the magazine revealed that her and her brother were the ones who had come up with the concept.
Cinco said, “Cristo had an idea that Dani might have a sibling. We pitched it to the press.” After that, during an Oscars party, someone asked Cristo whether he was returning to Ted Lasso in the fourth season. “He said no but added jokingly, ‘Wouldn’t it be awesome if his older sister were?’
Then, she continued, “We started to think about what it could be like.” Then we recorded an audition and sent it to the other party. Daniela Rojas is the name of Dani’s younger sister in our version. Maria Rojas is a character similar to her sister Dani in the sense that both are positive, charismatic and energetic. In another version, Daniela acted grumpy. She was the opposite of Maria. “In our version she was an excellent soccer player.”
Fernandez debuted as a pro player for El Paso earlier this year in an USL Cup game against New Mexico United.
Fernandez competed as a talented youth footballer with Tecos FC, in Liga MX, before he began his acting career. Injury set him on a path to acting.
In the beginning of this year, he tried out for Chicago Fire’s Reserve Squad. This led to a second tryout at El Paso which resulted in a contract.
He explained in an ESPN interview from May: “Football gave me the good moments and the bad moments.” For me, I suppose, that’s the reason why football is my life.

Chris Hansen Says A24 Wouldn’t Screen Pattinson’s ‘Primetime’

Chris Hansen was not able to sit down for “Primetime,” the latest A24 film.
Robert Pattinson plays Lance Oppenheim in the film. The veteran journalist, aged 66, went to A24’s offices to see the film before its premiere at Venice Film Festival. He left the office without watching it.
On Fox News “Jesse Watters Primetime”, the former host of “To Catch a Predator”, said he had shown up to Fox News studios for a private viewing at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Hansen is the central character in this Pattinson led drama. Hansen says he left the job after refusing a contract he described as being unlike any he had seen in his four decades of work.
A24 source said Hansen had been asked to sign an NDA standard that must be adhered to by all preview audiences for a film not yet released — mainly to avoid spoilers and to protect the studio’s intellectual property.
Hansen said during his appearance that “the lawyers at A24 asked me to sign off on my brand, my image, and my name, basically, along with any legal rights that could come from the film.” I couldn’t do that so they wouldn’t let me see the movie. “I went over to that place.”
Hansen, when asked by Watters if he had come in unprotected from legal action, said that his lawyers had reviewed the documents and recommended against signing. When asked whether he signed anything without an attorney present, Hansen says “Of Course Not”. This was a restrictive contract. “I’ve never seen something quite like that.”
Hansen’s agreement would have a larger impact on the law than an NDA for a screening, and it would not apply to other people who screen the film, including journalists and marketing firms.
Hansen’s account is a dramatic departure from the way he left off just days before. On the podcast “Serially With Annie Elise”, Hansen said that A24 would be setting up a private viewing “in the coming week” after which he will give his verdict about the film.
Hansen claims he can’t tell what studios might be concerned about because he hasn’t seen a single minute of the film. He says, “I’ve never seen the movie.” If you watch the trailer it is obvious that this version has been dramatized. The people who told me it was fictionalized said that there were many different aspects. “I know that other people who have seen the film did not sign an NDA and yet, they wanted me sign it.”
The trailer for “Primetime”, as well as other promotional materials, have been labeled as being “inspired by real events”. It has not been characterized as a biography of Hansen’s life.
Ajon Singh is the writer of this film, who is one of Variety’s Ten Screenwriters to Watch in 2025. The inspiration for “Tonight on Dateline This Man will Die” is Luke Dittrich.
Hansen makes it clear that he’s not in the business of chasing money. Hansen says he has no financial interest in the film, and that he was not paid or invited to be a consultant. “I learned about the film the same way I learned everything else in my career,” he said. “I am a reporter who works, but I don’t know the sophisticated methods of Hollywood. But I find stuff out,” Hansen says. Since I’ve worked as an investigative journalist for over 40 years, I was aware of this.
He suggests that his frustration is not so much about the movie as it is the timing. I got a phone call saying that everyone was concerned. Hansen says, “They want you to enjoy the film.” Why didn’t I know about this when you were shooting the movie?
The film premiered in Venice as part of the competition and will be released in cinemas on September 25. The movie, directed by Oppenheim for his first narrative feature and written by Ajon Singh, follows Hansen as the “To Catch a Predator'” episode of “Dateline NBC”, which was a segment on the show in 2006 moves to its primetime block. Pattinson produces and stars in the movie through Icki Eneo Arlo, and has a cast of Merritt Wever (who also acts as narrator), Skyler Gisondo (who plays Phoebe Bridgers), Bokeem woodbine, and Phoebe Bridgers. Jeff Zucker, former NBCUniversal CEO, appears in the film as himself.
From 2004-2007, “To Catch a Predator”, a recurring investigation on “Dateline NBC”, paired Hansen with a crew of decoys posing like minors who confronted men arriving at sting homes. After a Texas operation where Rockwall County Assistant District Attorney Louis Conradt committed suicide while authorities and crew were closing in on his house, the franchise was cancelled.
Hansen, for now, will be forced to watch the film the same way as the rest of America, which is with a ticket purchased at the theater. When asked what he’d say to Pattinson he naturally reaches for the famous line. Hansen tells Pattinson to “take a seat over there”.
A24 has declined to make a comment.

‘Yellowstone’ creator Taylor Sheridan’s $330M ranch purchase led to new deal with Paramount

Taylor Sheridan had decided to retire and kick back before buying a ranch in Texas.
The 56-year old writer-director discussed in a recent podcast appearance that he was unable to retire because he had purchased the Four Sixes Ranch at a cost of $330m. This led him, instead, to enter into an exclusive deal with Paramount.
I was ready to retire. After ‘Yellowstone’, I would be retired. I had bought the Weatherford ranch and paid in cash. He said, “I didn’t have any debts to anyone.”
Then I would sit back and enjoy my hobby of showing horses, and having my own little herd here. “I knew I would not be quitting work for some time if I purchased this ranch.”
Before buying the ranch, he explained that he wanted to ensure the manager was going to stay to handle the daily duties. He also wanted to be sure his son would take over the running of the ranch.
Sheridan met Anne Marion when he was arranging the filming.
Sheridan remembered that after Marion’s death, she learned the ranch was not left in Marion’s will to her daughter and would “be broken up and then sold”.
He said that before doing so, the woman had asked them to try and find someone else who could maintain her vision.
The person that they chose was me.
Sheridan recalled saying, “Well boys, you’re a bit short.” When the price was $330,000,000, they went to Sheridan. In fact, I am about $300 million short.
Paramount was trying to get me into a deal. “They were afraid that I would leave and move to greener pastures, and they probably did,” said he.
They’d tried to convince me for years to sign a Paramount exclusive deal, but I had refused.
Once this had happened, I called and said: “You know what?” “I think I am ready to do an overall deal.” They replied, “That is great. You asked me, “Do you have any numbers in mind?” I replied, “Yes, of course I do.” I sure do. ‘”
Sheridan was the leader of a group that bought the ranch. The sale ended on January 21, 2022.
Sheridan has created several films since signing his deal with Paramount. These include “Mayor Of Kingstown,” 1883,” 1923,” Lioness,” Landman,” Tulsa King,” and “The Madison.”
Michael Kelly, one of the stars of “Lioness”, recently spoke to ScreenRant about Sheridan’s work.
“I told Taylor that I would do anything he asked me to. I love being in Texas. He said, “I love to say your words.
There’s no one who has done or is doing what he does. What he’s doing is incredible. He’s one of the most intelligent people you will ever encounter. It’s brilliant. Brilliant. “And just one of history’s greatest storytellers.”

Netflix’s Anime NYC Line Up Is Ridiculously Stacked

When a streaming service announces a new season of anime, it usually takes a shotgun strategy, in which quantity is more important than quality. Netflix is an exception. The streamer, which is known for its smarter selection of animated series in its catalogue, reminded people about the huge amount of anime it has to offer with an influx of new trailers and looks at forthcoming shows.
Netflix is ready to go with a list of series that will be at the top of people’s watchlists, despite the fact they gave a sneak peek of the future in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival back in June. We’ve got a lot to cover so we’ll go through everything in alphabetical sequence, with a synopsis, studio, cast and premiere date.
Bass X Machine
Studio Mir, the creators of The Legend of Korra/Devil May Cry, has animated Bass X Machina, a steampunk Western anime in which a father fights against outlaws and machines to protect his children. The show, which draws heavily from classic films like City of God and is a neo noir journey, asks how far its characters are willing to take their story to make it matter.

The action adventure romp is equal parts John Wick and Jackie Chan Kung Fu cinema, wrapped up in a wonderfully madcap package. Sakamoto and allies battle a bizarre array of assassins. Sakamoto Days Season Two premieres January 2027.
One Piece
The One Piece, a long-running anime series by Eiichiro ODA is being remade as an animated version. The series will consist of seven episodes with an average run time of 42 minutes. They’ll be released all at once via the streaming service. If you’re keeping up with the manga, which has over 1,000 chapters in total, this means that the One Piece will adapt the first fifty chapters from the East Blue Saga. The ship is set to sail on February 20, 2027.
Netflix’s upcoming anime lineup is impressive to say the least. We’d choose Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 and Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 as the three top shows on our list. Comment below and let us know which shows have piqued interest.
