Illegal immigrant Israel Flores Ortiz gets 180 days for groping girls at Fairfax County Va. High School

NEWYou can now hear Fox News articles. Israel Flores Ortiz (18), an illegal alien, received a 180-day sentence on Tuesday for groping female classmates at Fairfax High School earlier this year. Judge Melinda Vanlowe handed down the sentence. Flores Ortiz had been charged as an adult but was tried in a juvenile court due to the majority of his victims being minors. He was convicted of nine charges, acquitted of three and had a charge dismissed. The Fairfax Police Department said he was originally accused of assaulting thirteen female classmates. The case raised concerns among parents regarding student safety following years of the former President Joe Biden’s open borders policy. Flores Ortiz is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who arrived in the country in 2024. He will have 10 days in which to appeal the verdict. The allegations sparked scrutiny within Fairfax County regarding school supervision and hallway security. The Education Department announced the Title IX investigation in a blog post on X. “Virginia’s experiment with radical gender ideologies, race-based admissions, far-Left endoctrination and unlawful discrimination have inflicted unmeasurable harm on our children,” it wrote. “It has to stop.”

Homeowners in leafy enclaves hit by burglars zeroing in on high-end homes for smash-and-grab scores

NEWYou can now hear Fox News articles. A growing wave of residential break-ins across Los Angeles County has raised alarm among residents, and prompted a surge of police resources. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass announced that she had directed the LAPD strategically to deploy additional patrols on Ventura Boulevard in response to a string or break-ins at neighborhoods such as Sherman Oaks Encino and North Hollywood. “The safety and security of every Angeleno are my top priorities.” Bass said that the City had zero tolerance for recent burglaries. Residents deserve to feel safe, especially at home, and we’ll continue to provide the resources needed to keep them safe. The latest incident happened early Tuesday morning, when suspects tried to break into a house on Noble Avenue in Sherman Oaks at around 1:30 am, according to the police. CALIFORNIA LOOTERS NOW FEEL ‘HARD-CHARGING CONSEQUENCES’ AFTER BLUESTATE ABANDONED THE SOFT-ON CRIME APPROACHAuthorities claim the attempted break-in was part of a larger spike in crimes which began around April 10. This is similar to burglary patterns that were seen in the San Fernando Valley over the past few years. It is unclear if the incidents are linked or if they were committed by a group of people targeting a specific neighborhood. Officials at the time emphasized that while overall crime statistics were on the decline, targeted crimes such as break-ins continued fueling fear in the affected communities. In 2025, LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell stated that “our hearts go out to families who are grieving this senseless death.” We understand that, while crime statistics may be down, the fear and hurt it causes are very real. The department took a “all-hands on deck” approach to combat organized burglary, increasing patrol visibility at night, using license plate readers and air support, and working with regional tasks forces. OFFICIALS IN CALIFORNIA REOPEN CERTAIN PALISADES FIRES ZONES; COPS TO USE PLANES FOR LOOTINGIn response, the LAPD Operations-Valley Bureau has increased enforcement, increasing patrols, and placing a noticeable police presence in the areas most affected by the crimes. FOX 11 reported. Officers are using mobile plate readers to monitor high-value burglaries, deploying air support and coordinating with specialized divisions. City leaders have emphasized a zero tolerance approach as residents become more concerned about crimes that occur “night after night.” Officials told FOX 11 that there is “zero tolerance” for the crimes in the Valley. They added that resources are being increased in order to apprehend the perpetrators. Police say that in one recent burglary, burglars broke into a home from a second-story window and stole cash and valuables. “It is nice to be part of a community. We watch out for eachother. Follow us on XFor others, routine activities like nightly dog walks have been transformed into informal neighborhood patrols. Gault said, “It’s really disturbing because there have been so many.” GET BREAKING NEWS BY EMAILOthers say that residents may need to take extra precautions in addition to relying on law enforcement. Dustin Heindel said, “It is great if our tax dollars or the community do stuff. “But at the end of the day, I think that you should do whatever you need to to protect yourself. Police are also urging residents in the area to take basic security precautions as crimes continue. The LAPD North Hollywood Division reports that residential burglaries are on the rise in the area. They urge homeowners to make sure their security cameras are functioning, to keep windows and doors closed, and to notify a neighbor or a security company if they are planning to be away for an extended period.

Students crown Oklahoma hero principal prom king weeks after he stopped attempted school shooting

NEWYou can listen to Fox News articles now! What began as a normal prom in a small town southwest of Oklahoma City, became a surprise when Principal Kirk Moore received a crown of kingship after saving the lives students by bravely confronting a suspected Columbine inspired gunman. It was an amazing experience and it felt good knowing that we were giving him honor he deserved,” said junior Rachel Hamilton.Camera video released April 7 at Pauls Valley High School showed Moore being shot in the leg as he tackled the alleged gunman. He has been identified as 20-year old former student Victor Lee Hawkins. Hawkins was armed with two semiautomatic pistols when he entered the lobby of the school. He ordered students to the floor and tried to shoot one student, but his gun malfunctioned, and Moore stopped him. Hamilton said, “I believe there were many things that didn’t happen by chance.” It was God who was watching over us. “PASTOR SOUNDS AN ALARM ON THE ‘GODLESS GENEATION’ AFTER RESISTING A TEEN CARJACKER” In her interview with America Reports, she stressed that divine intervention prevented greater tragedies. Hamilton was walking through the courtyard around 2:20 pm CT, when Hawkins tried to attack. “I was walking and I heard a crash. You don’t think that it’s a gunman,” she said. She continued to the tennis courts as if it were any other day before learning Moore had died. “I was the lone person outside in the courtyard,” said she. “He could have come in that direction and there were no adult around. “OLD DOMINION UNIV ROTC CADETS DISARM AN ISIS SUPPORTER WHO SHOWS ‘ALLAHU AKBAAR’ DURING THE SHOOTING: OfficialsJunior Isaac Jacobson was made aware of the severity of the situation when it unfolded outside campus. Jacobson said that if the circumstances had been different, people could have died. If his gun hadn’t misfired, or if Moore hadn’t been there at that time, things might have been different. I can’t believe that God could have been involved in that situation with the sheer number of coincidences. “As he walked to his car at the end of a school day like any other, he saw an army of police officers rush into the building. The next hour was filled anxiety. Unable to contact his friends because of Oklahoma schools’ phone prohibition, which prohibits cell phones use from the first bell until dismissal, he worried the worst. Jacobson replied, “I’m just 17.” “I’m still not ready to lose all my friends.” He was relieved to find out that some of his friends avoided the office where the confrontation took place after they “stopped by to see a randomly selected teacher” instead. Jacobson said that everyone seemed to be celebrating the success of the prom. “It wasn’t like we weren’t over it. We were just happy about how it went.” “I went up to him [Moore] and thanked for everything because I hadn’t gotten that far. “It gives me hope that there are good people out there like Coach Moore, and others,” said Jacobson. “It gives hope that we can step in and this bravery will not be thrown away. According to court records Hawkins was charged with two counts for unlawful carry, two counts for pointing a gun and one count for shooting with the intent to kill. At his arraignment he pleaded not guilt and bail was set to $1 million. His preliminary hearing will be held on May 8.
