Garcia took to Instagram on Tuesday morning, early in the morning, to send a message to her fans about her late husband. She paid emotional tribute to a life that touched so many people through music.
“Sometimes, it feels impossible to speak that number aloud. “And yet, here we are millions of people around the world who are still connected by the vibration, spirit, and love that came from him every time he walked onto a stage, studio, or soul,” she began to express her heartfelt tribute via Instagram. “I’ve already said, ‘Enter gently into the realms of genius’ because that was how it felt to be near him. A realm. A frequency. A force. His music was more than just sound. It was spirt.”
She continued to explain that, even today, many years after his death, his music still “speaks,” “still instructs,” and “still reaches us.”
“This year more than ever, I think about you, the fans, who grew up alongside him, learned from his words, healed with him and found pieces of yourself through them,” she continued. “Only a few of us will be attending the Glam Slam Benefit but he was never confined to one room. He belonged to us all. Everywhere.”
He never wanted us to be sad

Garcia’s touching words reminded fans that Prince would never want anyone to “be sad.”
“He never wanted us sad.” She continued, “He believed in transformation, returning home, and the idea that love was the only thing lasting.” “He wrote that ‘My bed is made up at night, because in my dream I roam.'” I’ve always thought that line was not just about him finding home, but about how he finds us. In dreams, memories, and those moments when the music fills a space, it feels as if he is right there again.
Garcia also shared his wish for today’s 10th anniversary of Prince’s death.
“So, on this tenth anniversary, turn up his music to the maximum. Sing your heart. “Be grateful that we were able to witness him in person, and that we lived during his lifetime,” she wrote. “That’s something rare, something holy, something we share.”
She asked fans to tag Live 4 Love Charities if they shared their fond memories of Prince and stories so “we could see the moments and music that still connects us all to him.”
Her final message is a message of love and strength.
“When we share with him, he comes back to life,” she wrote. “I keep thinking of the message he gave us in Live 4 Love. That fierce reminder that, even in chaos, in pain, and even when the world is trying to harden you up, the mission remains the same: Live for love. We cannot live without love. Love is the key to our success. This is how we honor him. This is how we honor him. “That’s how we keep the light of his light moving throughout the world.”

“I was at Paisley Park in Paisley Park on the 4/17. I felt his presence throughout the entire house. One viewer wrote: “It was a very emotional experience.”
“He’s the only artist that, when I attend his shows, would cause me to break into tears. The groove was his, a funk that is so hard to duplicate that no one can ever do it. It would reach down deep and pull out emotions that I needed to be freed. You’ve summarized it and made me realize it was an expression of his vibrancy, and he was a gift that he gave us all to experience on our own,” another fan shared.
Many others have shared similar thoughts and experiences.
“Prince was and is pure magic.” Love him forever, and I am so grateful to have had him in my life. “We are lucky,” said one person. Another person said, “My life would not be the same without his presence.” He made my life colorful, filled with love. How fortunate I am to have known him and his music. I miss you, Prince.”
