He was convicted of nine charges, acquitted of three and had a charge dismissed. The Fairfax Police Department said he was originally accused of assaulting thirteen female classmates. The case raised concerns among parents regarding student safety following years of the former President Joe Biden’s open borders policy. Flores Ortiz is an illegal immigrant from El Salvador who arrived in the country in 2024. He will have 10 days in which to appeal the verdict. The allegations sparked scrutiny within Fairfax County regarding school supervision and hallway security. The Education Department announced the Title IX investigation in a blog post on X. “Virginia’s experiment with radical gender ideologies, race-based admissions, far-Left endoctrination and unlawful discrimination have inflicted unmeasurable harm on our children,” it wrote. “It has to stop.”
