Frankie Muniz took to Instagram Saturday with a wholesome family-themed upload after admitting he’d hit “rock bottom” in a previous post.
In a pair of goofy snapshots taken in Scottsdale, Arizona, he sat in the front seat of a vehicle alongside estranged wife Paige Price, with their son Mauz, 5, happily seated in the back.
“Post soccer shenanigans with the fam,” the “Malcolm in the Middle” alum, 40, captioned the post on Saturday.
The proud father added, “Our little dude got a medal for excellence in sportsmanship!”
Just a day earlier, the former child actor took to the same platform to lament a “nightmare” he said he was living.
“The last 6 weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from,” he wrote alongside a thoughtful pic of himself seated on a couch.
He added, “Everything [has] felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time. I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone.”
Muniz reflected on having “had time to sit with myself, do real self-reflection, and finally see the areas of my life that need work if I want to become a better version of me.”
“I’ve read that sometimes hitting rock bottom is the thing that wakes you up,” he continued, noting that “It forces the changes you needed to make all along so you can live the best life possible.”
Muniz went on, asserting that he believed in five years he’d “feel grateful” for the experience in retrospect “because the high I’ll be standing on then only exists because I went through this.”
Muniz wrote that he was prepared to begin the “uncomfortable, unglamorous, necessary work” on himself going forward and to “treat this season as the foundation, not the finish line.”
“If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken,” he concluded. “You’re being rebuilt. Let’s keep going!”
Though the upload finished on an upbeat note, it sparked concern among fans, with one person in the comments thread encouraging the actor — who is now a race car driver — to “ask for, and accept help.”
Price, 33, took to her own Instagram with what appeared to be a cryptic response, writing, “Life is all about perspective. If you ask the grass, the zebra is the monster and the lion is the protector.”
She included a calming video of herself creating a wax seal.
Muniz followed up his post on Saturday morning with an unexpected video about tire safety before sharing the post about his outing with Price and Mauz.
In July, the actor posted and deleted a lighthearted divorce announcement via social media, stating, “Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage.”
A video of the family of three dancing together — and the affectionate nature of the announcement, which promised they’d continue to co-parent with “a deep friendship” — caught the ire of some netizens, who criticized the upbeat post.
Price defended her estranged husband in the comments thread, writing, “Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old funny video of our family because people are so cruel to you. This world is so f–ked.”
Muniz and Price eloped in October 2019 and later tied the knot in a wedding in Phoenix, Arizona, in February 2020.

A Silicon Valley diva is facing fierce blowback for sharing a lengthy list of “non-negotiable” qualities she expects in a partner after asking for help finding the tech bro of her dreams.
Brooke LeBlanc, an executive at tech company Corgi, caught considerable heat after posting her laundry list of requirements on X.
“Who wants to cofound the rest of my life with me?” she wrote in a post, before describing her ideal mate in a follow-up note.
LeBlanc said her desired man must be “healthy masculine,” “post economic (still hardworking)” and “on the healing path,” while noting that she strongly prefers a man who “works in tech.”
Commenters quickly seized on the list — and the insanity of San Francisco’s singles scene.
“I can’t imagine anything worse than being single and dating in SF,” one person wrote.
“Lol. I thought this was AI slop. Sad to find out it’s real,” another said.
“Good luck. Leave your checklist at home and just fall in love with someone. You’re scoring them before you know them. No one wins with this approach. SMH,” a third added.
LeBlanc responded to the hate, saying: “God forbid a woman asks for what she wants.”
“Sorry, I don’t want to date a loser!” she added.
She noted that “years of dating experience” inspired the 29-year-old tech exec to make the list.
“Getting bullied on the Internet today, so I can be a financially free hot mom in the future,” she wrote.

Prime Video has opted not to renew Ride Or Die starring Hannah Waddingham and Octavia Spencer for a second season. The lead studio behind the buddy spy comedy, Paramount Television Studios, is shopping the series to other buyers, I hear.
The lack of quick renewal should’ve been a sign. Still, the cancellation has taken everyone involved in Ride of Die by surprise. That is because the action comedy has been well received and, according to available data, it has performed well.
Part of the current wave of “white wine thrillers” — series featuring adult female leads — Ride or Die launched on July 15 with a fraction of the marketing money Amazon put behind its YA summer lineup that got a big Obsession Is In Session promo campaign, including Elle, Off Campus, Every Year After and Sterling Point, all of which have been renewed.
Ride Or Die snuck up under the radar to immediately hit the No. 1 slot in the daily U.S. rankings, eclipsing even big-budget film Masters of the Universe. The action comedy made Luminate’s weekly US rankings with just two days of release logging 927K views, twice as many as Elle drew for its first two days in the U.S. (477K) and almost four times Off Campus‘ 245K views back in May. Ride Or Die zoomed to No.1 in U.S. minutes watched in its first full week on Luminate, also doubling Elle‘s and almost tripling Off Campus‘ haul over the comparable periods, a trend that continued in Week 3.
The strong domestic performance carried onto the Nielsen Weekly Top 10 where Ride Or Die debuted at No.8 on the overall streaming chart and at No. 3 among originals with 869M minutes viewed. It climbed to No. 4 overall and No. 2 on the streaming originals charts in its second week with 922M minutes. Over its first 14 days of release, Ride Or Die is said to be Prime Video’s most watched new scripted series in the U.S. from 7/30/25 to 7/29/26.
Globally, Ride Or Die was the No.1 most watched Prime Video original series for the its first three weeks. Elle held the No.1 slot for two weeks, Off Campus for five. More than two months later, Ride Or Die remains in Prime Video’s weekly Global Top 10, most recently at No.8. Completion rate-wise, Ride Or Die is believed to be in the range of several renewed Prime Video series, including Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Scarpetta and Elle.
A crowd pleaser that has also scored with reviewers, Ride Or Die has logged 96% on Rotten Tomatoes with critics and 85% with audiences.
Ride or Die was one of two series centering on 50-something female friendships that launched in July to similarly strong U.S. viewership and reviews. The other, Peacock’s The Five Star Weekend, has been renewed for a second season.
Created by Tessa Coates, Ride or Die follows best friends Debbie Claybourne (Spencer) and Judith Burton (Waddingham) who thought they knew everything about each other, except Judith turns out to be an international assassin. When a mysterious figure emerges from Judith’s past and a hit goes horribly wrong, both of their worlds are turned upside down as they’re forced to go on the run together.
Season 1, which ended on several cliffhangers that set up major storylines for a second installment, also stars Ed Skrein, Calam Lynch, Savannah Steyn, Jamie Parker, Jacky Ido, with Sylvia Hoeks and Bill Nighy.

Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside Ed Sheeran’s concert at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday night as the singer returned to the stage for the first time since Macklemore was dropped from his Loop Tour following his onstage remarks in support of Palestine.
For attendee Jodi Rhoden, an organizer at Writers Against the War in Gaza, the protest represents something “much bigger than us.” “It’s much bigger than Ed Sheeran. It’s much bigger than Macklemore. It’s a movement for Palestinian lives, and it’s not going to stop until Palestine is free.”
Rhoden also noted that while there are many people who have “lost their livelihoods for speaking the truth about this genocide,” she feels the “tide is turning”: “You can see that with the way that Ed Sheeran fans are reacting, and the way that people are rallying behind that for more. It seems like we’ve really hit a tipping point, and public opinion has changed.”
Grace, an 18-year-old college student, said it was important for her to attend the protest “because we have to continue talking about Palestine.” Going into the evening, she is hoping that Sheeran “acknowledges what he did was wrong and says he wants to free Palestine.”
The demonstration, which drew a crowd of around 100 participants, was planned for 4:30 p.m. outside the South Philadelphia stadium, ahead of Sheeran’s 8 p.m. performance. Organizers said speakers from Writers Against the War on Gaza, the Boycott Cooknsolo Coalition and Shut Down Day & Zimmermann were expected to participate. The Philly Palestine Coalition and Shut Down Day & Zimmermann had also circulated calls for supporters to demonstrate outside the venue.
The protest comes amid mounting fallout from Macklemore’s removal from Sheeran’s U.S. stadium tour. The rapper had opened Sheeran’s Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 concerts at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where he performed his 2024 pro-Palestinian protest song “Hind’s Hall,” displayed footage from Gaza and called for a “Free Palestine” from the stage.
Days later, tour promoter Messina Touring Group announced that Macklemore would no longer appear on the remaining dates. The promoter said several stadiums had indicated they would not permit concerts to proceed with Macklemore on the lineup and that keeping him on the bill could jeopardize the remainder of the tour.
Macklemore subsequently said New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft played a central role in the decision. Kraft’s company owns Gillette Stadium, where Sheeran is scheduled to perform Sept. 25 and 26, and Macklemore alleged that Kraft rallied other stadium owners behind an ultimatum that the rapper be removed.
Kraft acknowledged that he opposed Macklemore performing at Gillette Stadium, saying in a statement that his participation in the two concerts there “would cross that line.” Kraft argued that Macklemore’s presentation of the Israel-Hamas war ignored the actions of Hamas and contributed to divisiveness and hate. Macklemore has defended his advocacy for Palestinians and rejected accusations that it amounts to antisemitism.
Sheeran, meanwhile, has said the decision to drop Macklemore was made by the tour promoter and venues rather than by him. The singer said he had spoken with venue owners, promoters and activists in an effort to reach a resolution but was unable to do so.
The decision prompted a wider exodus from the Loop Tour. Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and Beoga — the Irish group that had been performing as part of Sheeran’s live band — all withdrew following Macklemore’s removal. Saturday’s Philadelphia show was consequently pushed from its originally advertised 5:30 p.m. start to 8 p.m., with Sheeran listed as the only act on the bill.
The controversy has also prompted a local debate over the decision to exclude Macklemore from the publicly owned stadium. The Philadelphia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations sent an open letter to the Philadelphia Eagles, the City of Philadelphia, Lincoln Financial Group and others criticizing the move and raising questions about free expression and advocacy for Palestinian rights. The organization also filed a public-records request seeking information about who told Messina Touring Group that Macklemore could no longer perform at the venue.
Ahead of Saturday’s demonstration, Philadelphia police said they were coordinating with the venue and event organizers and would adjust staffing according to public-safety needs. A police spokesperson separately said officers had been in communication with Sheeran’s team over security arrangements for the concert.

Tom Cruise is revealing how he helped cut down the time it took to transform him into his unrecognizable character in the upcoming movie Digger.
On a Friday episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s New Heights podcast, Cruise said it originally took six hours for the hair and makeup teams to apply the prosthetics that transformed him for the role. But with his busy filming schedule — and a need for some sleep — he knew the process had to become more efficient.
“The first time we did the makeup, it took six hours,” Cruise said.
“I gotta sleep at least six [hours]. They keep saying I need more… but OK, that’s 12,” he continued. “Now, we have 12-hour days filming. So now that’s six hours on, two hours off with the makeup.”
So Cruise came up with a plan to speed things up, which included bringing in a chalkboard and having someone use a stopwatch to time how long it took the team to apply each prosthetic.
“I had a guy there with a stopwatch, and I’m like, ‘OK, you see that time, six hours? By the time we’re done, we’re going to get it under an hour,’” Cruise said. “They were like, ‘No, I’m not doing that; it will never happen.’ I’m like, ‘OK, first of all, if you say no, you can’t do it; you will never get there. So can we agree that we’ll maybe make it a little less?’ So with each piece that was going on, it was timed and then we’d drill and practice.”
And it ended up working.
“They were like, ‘What?!’ And they didn’t even know it, and they didn’t even rush,” the Mission: Impossible star recalled.
Cruise said the experience reflected how he approaches his work in general.
“I like going into a system, studying it and trying to figure out how I can do it better, more efficient,” he said. “The films that I make, I’m constantly going, how can I do it better? How do I prepare better?”
Cruise previously underwent a heavy prosthetic transformation to play studio executive Les Grossman in the 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder. Digger marks his first character role of this kind since then.
In Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Digger, Cruise plays eccentric oil tycoon Digger Rockwell, who has gray hair, wrinkles and a larger frame than the actor. After creating an environmental disaster, Rockwell is ordered by the U.S. president, played by John Goodman, to fix the damage.
Digger opens in theaters Oct. 2.
