Rumor Roundup: Brock Lesnar’s status, SummerSlam changes, Nick Aldis, more!
Raw will be tonight. Let’s move on to another week.
Lead rumor: Brock Lesnar’s status
Brock Lesnar took care of Oba Femi during the SummerSlam main event this weekend in Minneapolis. PW Insider reports that the decision was made to put them in the main event during the last week. They believed it would be more logical to end the show rather than start it as originally planned. Paul Levesque made the decision, not Lesnar.
WrestleVotes, on the other hand, claims that they turned it into a Hell in a Cell Match despite not having any real intention to use the cage. They claim they did this to appease ESPN as well as Lesnar who, according to them, said he would like to play one more match but wouldn’t touch the cage.
Lesnar is not the last to be discussed. He called himself “the past” after the match. However, Fightful Select reports that WWE employees expect him work another match. There are currently no plans for this.
There are other rumors on the internet
Fightful Select reports that people within WWE think Nick Aldis is going to wrestle again, even though he was back in his role as SmackDown general manager after SummerSlam.
Fightful reported that “a few wrestlers wanted no part of Ryan Garcia’s appearance on Raw.”
Jacques has posted the video he was rejected for in relation to the Rougeau-tribute flap at AEW Redemption (check it here). Dave Meltzer, on Wrestling Observer Radio said the video would have been rejected because of its AI use, non-licensed music and length. However, Meltzer added that it was also unacceptable for including WWE footage of Jacques pinning Hulk Hogan in Montreal’s Bell Centre during a WCW event. Meltzer said Jacques had been so angry that “even the building security knew about it”, and agreed, “everything is fine now.”

Sid Wilson’s Behavior Toward Bandmates Led to Slipknot Firing
TMZ reports that Sid Wilson, the band leader of Slipknot, was not only surprised by his departure but also knew that it would be a long time before they did.
TMZ reports that sources with first-hand knowledge say the decision was made after the band had finally enough of Sid’s behaviour, namely the way he treated the other members.
The firing of this employee was not a sudden decision taken in a moment’s notice.
Our sources claim that Slipknot had planned to announce Sid’s departure by this week, but they lost control when our first report Friday said the long-time keyboardist and DJ of the group was permanently kicked out.
The band members were reportedly upset that they couldn’t announce their split in a way that suited them.
Sid, the lead singer of the Heavy Metal group was told Friday that his time with them was over after 25 years.
In 1999, he joined Slipknot as one of the nine founding members.
This comes after his separation from Kelly Osbourne in March.
Our sources say there is still a possibility that they might get back together.
Sid returned to Los Angeles Sunday, but kept his head low and was silent when asked directly about the firing.

Sid Wilson Brushes Off Question Over His Slipknot Status After Being Spotted Outside A Los Angeles, CA Studio
Sid Wilson remained silent when asked about his Slipknot status after he was spotted outside of a Los Angeles recording studio over the weekend. TMZ, citing reliable sources, reported on Friday, July 31, that Wilson had been ‘permanently ejected’ from the group. Wilson and the band did not address the issue publicly over the weekend. However, Slipknot guitarist Jim Root shared a vague statement online.
Wilson, for his part, did launch his store on social media over the weekend. However, he brushed aside an in-person query about his status within the masked band a few days after the news broke. Wilson is seen in the video below, shared by TMZ. He was confronted about his current status within the band. Wilson chose to ignore the question.

Suri, along with her cast and crew colleagues will be bringing a modern version of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2026 later this month.
The Bijou will host daily performances between August 6 and 19.
Page Six reported that Katie Holmes, Tom’s child, studies musical theatre at the School of Drama of her college.
In 2023, she will be making headlines for her role as Morticia Addams “The Addams Family” in the new musical.
Suri Noelle was her name when she graduated LaGuardia high school. Tom Noelle’s last name wasn’t listed in the program.
Suri, Holmes’ daughter, has not spoken to her father in years.
Last week, we reported that Suri was registered to vote under his current name in Allegheny County and had made this change prior to moving to Pennsylvania to attend school.
Suri’s legal name change is not clear.
A source said that Holmes, 47, was “not surprised” by her daughter’s decision.
Insider: “That is just what Suri does.” She has always had a strong sense of independence and confidence in her choices. It wasn’t an overnight thing. Katie listened to Suri and respected her process.
Holmes didn’t “push” Suri or “encourage her,” but the “Dawson’s Creek’ alumnus “fully supports what she feels right” for “being happy and living life on her terms.”
