Sheriff leading Nancy Guthrie probe admits quitting past police job to dodge discipline

The Pima County Board of Supervisors asked the sheriff to answer questions following allegations of perjury that emerged after his deposition for a First Amendment lawsuit filed against him by Sgt. Former Prosecutor James Cool said that Nanos misunderstood what the question was asking. He has never been fired from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department during his career, which began in 1984. Cool admitted that he had been suspended multiple times in his previous role at the El Paso Police Department, Texas. Emmy-award winning journalist allegedly hid cameras in TV station dressing rooms, police say

A journalist who won multiple Heartland TV Emmy Awards last year was arrested after he was accused of secretly filming people undressing at a local Oklahoma TV station. Darrell Lee Vannostran was arrested on charges that he used photo or video equipment clandestinely in a private location. The Oklahoman reported that they found people in “various states of undress” when reviewing the video. The cameras were attached by Velcro underneath clothing racks, according to investigators. The Oklahoman reported that investigators found that the cameras were active and recorded several subjects in the dressing rooms in private settings. He was still in custody in the Oklahoma County jail Tuesday on a $25,000. “Our top priority is the safety of our employees and their privacy. “When the devices were found, we immediately contacted police and have been fully cooperating with their investigation. If the mayor does not take action, the city will be in for a long, brutal summer of teen street takeovers. He said that policies in Chicago prevent the police from handling teen takeovers correctly. Lopez said that he did not think Mayor Brandon Johnson was doing enough to curb these activities. “What we’ve seen is that Chicago has become a destination for illegal street takesovers, where hundreds of youths are encouraged to descend upon a location.
