‘Back to the Future’ star Christopher Lloyd reveals decades-long struggle with addiction

“Back to the Future” star Christopher Lloyd was addicted to cocaine and alcohol for many years, he divulges in his new memoir.
The 88-year-old actor recalls in “In My Own Time: A Memoir,” published Tuesday, that he did his first “snort” of cocaine outside a comedy club in Los Angeles during the ’70s.
At the time, Lloyd went out to the car of a woman he had just met and “did a couple of lines.”
He writes, “That was all it took. I was hooked almost immediately. I loved it, and that was where my cocaine abuse began.”
The “Taxi” alum goes on to tell readers his cocaine, alcohol and pot use quickly became “entrenched,” although he never appeared on stage or in front of a camera under the influence.
“I wasn’t asking myself what it meant or what it was doing for me,” he adds. “I just knew I liked it, and before long it had a hold on me.”
Lloyd remembers being high and drunk during an argument with his then-girlfriend when “Taxi” was canceled after five seasons in 1983.
After spending the night at his nephew’s L.A. home, Lloyd returned to find out his partner had locked him out — so he began punching the windows.
“The next thing I remember, I was lying on the floor of my kitchen, bleeding out, and paramedics were attending to me,” he writes. “I later learned that I had lost so much blood that they had to give me plasma.”
In an eerie turn of events, Lloyd’s “Taxi” costar Andy Kaufman died the previous evening at the same hospital, losing his battle to cancer at 35.
Lloyd had to undergo surgery at the time, as well as physical therapy, to ensure he’d be “able to spread [his] fingers correctly.”
“The Addams Family” star entered rehab in 1993 after working with a psychologist who helped him see the damage drugs and alcohol were doing in his life.
He remained in rehab for five weeks.
“That was the beginning, but not the end of it,” Lloyd confesses in his book. “I relapsed a few times after that. … Some years later on April 1, I got sober for what turned out to be the last time.”
The Emmy winner also writes lovingly of his time spent playing the eccentric Dr. Emmett Brown in the “Back to the Future” trilogy in his tell-all, revealing that both John Lithgow and Jeff Goldblum were on the short list to play the iconic character.

Millennials, rejoice: Disney besties Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato reunite in Rare Beauty campaign

Be still, our millennial hearts. On Wednesday, Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez’s makeup brand, unveiled its newest collaboration with a very familiar face. Gomez teamed up with her childhood bestie, Demi Lovato, to bring Rare Beauty’s latest campaign — “Still Making Each Other Blush” — to life.
Celebrating Gomez and Lovato’s decade-spanning friendship, the campaign features the new “Delena Soft Pinch Blush Bundle,” a sweet callback to the fan-coined nickname for the childhood besties who starred on Disney Channel together. The $50 blush bundle is now available on RareBeauty.com.
“Selena and I have shared a lot of memories over the years since childhood, so being able to connect in this way, in a campaign that feels so nostalgic to both of us, is such a full-circle moment,” Lovato said in a statement. “I’ve loved her liquid blush since she launched the brand so this was really fun to work on. Being on set together felt like we were back in our old bedrooms making YouTube videos and playing with makeup.”
Gomez echoed Lovato’s sentiment, adding, “The experiences I’ve shared with Demi are truly unique. Coming together for this campaign was a beautiful reminder of that history and a chance to celebrate who we are today. One and the same….always.”
Rare Beauty teased the collaboration on Tuesday, sharing an “upload” button and a glimpse of what looked like a teenage girl’s bedroom. Fans were quick to predict a Gomez-Lovato collab, dropping GIFs of the former Disney star in the comments.
On Wednesday, the promotional video starring the famous Disney duo was released. The video, inspired by Gomez and Lovato’s YouTube days, was peak nostalgia: Gomez and Lovato are seen dancing around the room with makeup brushes in tow, looking at past photos together and speaking to the camera.
“I went on YouTube recently and looked at our vlogs together,” Lovato recently told Elle of her and Gomez’s YouTube channel. “I think that was something that really captured our innocence at the time and our drive to have a presence in front of people while still staying true to ourselves.”
For the campaign photo shoot, Gomez and Lovato paid homage to Princess Protection Program, the 2009 Disney Channel film they starred in together. Drawing inspiration from the film’s official poster, Gomez and Lovato are seen sitting on stacks of luggage in gowns and tiaras.
Gomez and Lovato first met in 2002 when they were 7 years old while waiting in line to audition for Barney & Friends in Texas. They ended up being two of just a handful of kids cast in the show’s seventh season. Their friendship continued to blossom, and soon, the besties found themselves both starring on Disney Channel. Gomez starred on Wizards of Waverly Place from 2007 to 2012, while Lovato appeared on As the Bell Rings, a Disney Channel short series, before landing her breakthrough role in Camp Rock. Like Gomez, Lovato then landed a starring role on a television show of her own, Sonny with a Chance, from 2009 to 2011.
Both stars launched solo music careers around this time too: Lovato released her debut album, Don’t Forget, in 2008, while Gomez’s album, Kiss & Tell, with her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, debuted in 2009.
Gomez and Lovato drifted apart before eventually finding their way back to each other. The Rare Beauty founder attended the opening night of Lovato’s It’s Not That Deep tour in Orlando back in April. She celebrated her longtime friend’s success with a series of heartfelt Instagram stories.
“I am in tears,” Gomez wrote on Instagram in April. “@ddlovato – this was hands down one of the best shows. Oh and the VOCALS? Psh *blown away.*”
Nearly 25 years later, the Princess Protection Program stars are still showing up for one another. Their new Rare Beauty campaign is proof of that fact.
“There have been different chapters throughout our lives, and naturally, friends are in each other’s lives heavily at times, and then sometimes you’re not in constant communication,” Lovato told Elle of her relationship with Gomez. “But Selena is someone that I’ve always loved and adored. It’s really great to be in a place today where we can collaborate on things, but also just hang out and spend time together.”

Kim Kardashian had ‘gun to her head’ after Kanye West sparked terrifying incident during Africa trip: biographer

Kim Kardashian allegedly had a gun held to her head during a terrifying 2018 trip to Africa with her then-husband, Kanye West, her biographer claims.
Journalist Jonathan Van Meter details the alleged incident in his book, “Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future,” released Tuesday, writing that “things reached a point of no return” between Kardashian and West that October.
“Farnaz Farjam, the executive producer of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ told me that she first realized how bad things were for the couple during a 2018 trip to Africa,” Van Meter writes. “They were shooting at a remote location in Uganda when Kanye became paranoid and agitated.”
According to the book, Farjam told Van Meter, “He basically got the local police to believe that there were people trying to drug him, and so they came and they had guns out. He had them raid everybody’s rooms.”
Van Meter writes that, at one point during the alleged incident, “one of the policemen had a gun to Kim’s head,” which Farjam described as “intense.”
“I ended up having to get a private jet and get my crew out of there,” she added, according to Van Meter’s book.

Van Meter writes that Farjam ultimately “forgave Kanye for the Africa fiasco ‘because he lives with bipolar disorder, and he was in a manic place.’”
Page Six has reached out to West’s representatives for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Kardashian, 46, and West, 49, tied the knot in 2014 before finalizing their divorce in 2022. They share four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7.
Elsewhere in Van Meter’s book, Kardashian opened up about the “big burden” of co-parenting with her ex-husband.
“Oh, I worry about [Kanye] all day. All the time. That’s the father of my kids, I’ll never not worry about him,” Kardashian told Van Meter. “And that’s a big burden of having kids with someone who you don’t necessarily get along with. My kids would never know that.”
She also admitted that she tries to forget “all the negative things that happened” while maintaining boundaries with West.
“It’s been pretty smooth for a while. I guess because we don’t talk that much. But when we see each other, we give each other a hug,” Kardashian told Van Meter.

Royal family avoids offering support to Meghan Markle, Prince Harry during ‘difficult’ time

The royal family is expected to wash their hands of any drama surrounding Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., after he was accused of possessing a collection of child pornography, according to multiple royal insiders.
“I don’t anticipate the royal family becoming involved in this situation,” royal reporter Andrea Caamano exclusively told Page Six.
“Despite Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK, relations remain complicated, and I don’t see the Palace wanting to become involved in matters concerning Meghan’s father.”
The co-host of Hello!’s “A Right Royal Podcast” pointed out that there has been no publicly confirmed face-to-face meetings between King Charles III and Harry or the Duke of Sussex’s kids since he and Meghan moved back to the UK in August.
“The King also has an enormous amount on his plate,” Caamano said, noting that he is embarking on a “hugely significant” nine-day Caribbean tour, during which he will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
Meanwhile, Prince William is preparing to travel to Mumbai in November for the Earthshot Prize Awards. It has yet to be confirmed whether his wife, Kate Middleton, will join him for the trip.
“Ultimately, I think the King and the Prince and Princess of Wales will continue doing what they do best: concentrating on their royal duties and the work ahead of them,” Caamano said. “I wouldn’t expect any public intervention from the royal family in this particular matter.”
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield agreed, exclusively telling Page Six that Charles is currently in a “difficult position.”
“As a father, he would like to offer Prince Harry emotional support during such a distressing situation. However, as monarch, he has to consider the potential consequences of any private conversation,” Schofield said.
Due to Harry’s history of addressing private family matters with the media, Schofield believes Charles would be hesitant to speak with his youngest son about Thomas Sr.’s scandal.
“The King would be reluctant to discuss such a sensitive matter without reassurance that their conversations would remain private,” she said.
Schofield expects that Prince William will also “not engage” with his estranged brother and sister-in-law.
“This is not his fight,” Schofield said, adding, “William has his own family to protect and his own responsibilities to the Crown. He has little appetite for becoming involved in another Sussex crisis.”
Shofield told Page Six that she touched base with more than 40 Palace sources and found that not one insider had heard anything about allegations against Thomas Sr. before the story broke last week.
“I have found no indication from those conversations that the Palace was previously aware of allegations of this nature,” Schofield said, adding, “Given their seriousness, I would have expected such concerns to be raised through the appropriate channels if they were known during Meghan’s time as a working royal.”
The “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered” podcast host believes Meghan, 45, and Harry, 42, had a “responsibility” to inform the institution about the allegations against her father when they became aware of them to prepare the royal family for a “potential fallout.”
“Based on my conversations, I have seen no evidence that such a warning was given,” Schofield said.
Last week, Page Six confirmed that Thomas Sr., 82, is being investigated in the Philippines for possessing child sexual abuse material.
Meghan’s half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., claimed he found “hundreds, if not thousands” of child sexual abuse images and videos among his father’s belongings at his home in Cebu City.
Thomas Sr. denied the accusations, calling them “sick lies.” His daughter, Samantha Markle, responded by accusing Thomas Jr. of lying about the allegations for “revenge.”
Meghan reacted to the news by sharing that she has known about the “deeply distressing” accusations against her father for several years.
“I hope it can now be understood that, despite certain media publications’ distortion over the years, any distance from my father and my choice to not allow him to have contact with our children was for one reason: to protect them,” Markle said in part. “I trusted that the authorities were doing the same for other families.”
The As Ever founder — who shares son Prince Archie, 7, and daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, with Harry — has been estranged from her father since 2018.

Some Theories About That Nude Scene In ‘You Can See Everything’

You Can See Everything is the movie event of the fall. Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s documentary has proved to be a potent mixture of zeitgeisty cultural insight and its own discourse-generating machine about the value and nature of documentary filmmaking. The screenings have been sold out and everyone wants to discuss and argue about each scene in minute detail. It is a testament to the film that even given a three-hour runtime, basically every moment feels like it could be ripped out and discussed as though it were the skeleton key for the entire premise. But there is one particular scene that I can’t let go of, and that I really feel needs to be examined at length in order to unearth certain truths about the film and the participants involved. That is the scene in which Billy Evans, Elizabeth Holmes’s partner and the father of her two children, shows hog.
Obviously, I am not alone in wanting to discuss this scene, which occurs when Evans decides to shower in front of the filmmakers. It has inspired much conversation, including with Oppenheim himself, who confirmed that the scene was Billy’s idea and that he just did it in front of the cameras, no prodding or even discussion necessary beforehand. But this raises the obvious question: Why? What was the thought process here? And what does it say about Billy in general? We are only left to speculate and theorize. Please understand that this is purely for the sake of journalism.
Theory No. 1: Billy is proud of his penis and wants to show it off.
This might be the most obvious answer, but it’s also the least interesting. Plenty of people are proud of their dicks, even those with ones that look completely unimpressive. Being an exhibitionist about it is really just a facet of being overly prideful in general. Guys like this are also proud of their bank accounts, the kind of car they drive, their business cards, whatever. It’s the attitude of the ego-heavy, and the penis is a metonym.
In the scene just before showing hog, the cameras are with Billy as he works out for what I’m sure is just the first time on that day. Even before really delving into him as a person, it is obvious that Billy is a “type” of rich Silicon Valley asshole. A guy who speaks in jargon and internet memes, who structures his life around stuff he learned from The Joe Rogan Experience. While he tries to play it cool, there is no doubt he wanted a big part of this documentary to feature him working out. That’s all fine, but this sort of guy also wants to show off his penis under the most flattering possible circumstances, rather offering a brief glimpse while flaccid and wet. There’s more going on here.
Theory No. 2: This is Billy’s way of showing that he and Elizabeth are truly hiding nothing.
This was the first thought I had upon seeing Billy’s little William. Oh, is this his way of telling everyone that he’s such an open book that you can even see his uncut penis. It’s obviously silly, but this is the kind of thought process most scammers have. A classic distraction technique to change the issue or to relay an image of authenticity or vulnerability. You see this kind of behavior in the performative affability of other Silicon Valley tech magnates. Introducing destructive ideas and concepts but with a smile and a friendly demeanor, because no one so charming and so willing to put themselves in the fire of public opinion could actually be evil and destructive. Maybe they should get a second consideration or some benefit of the doubt.
Much of the couple’s behavior is meant to position themselves not as criminals or monsters, but as technological gurus who were, unfortunately, too early with their genius—both in the scientific realm of their blood technology and also as visionaries and inventors. Steve Jobs was long ago deified even before his death, and both Holmes and Evans are his disciples, bringing Jobs’s never-say-die self-belief and willfulness to try to bend reality and truth to their whims. No one in Silicon Valley is ever wrong, just tragically misunderstood. And really, if the last 10 years of American life has proven anything, it’s that the only difference between fraud and success is how long you can keep people investing in you.
Theory No. 3: Billy is trying to establish himself as the alpha in this situation between him and the documentary crew.
Another thing that becomes evident as the film goes on is this push and pull of the power dynamics happening between Evans and Fielder. Fielder is constantly asking questions and prodding his subjects to go further and deeper on their thoughts. This is a problem for Evans who, despite the premise of the film, very much wishes to control the narrative as much as possible. He will disrupt interviews if he’s worried about how in-depth they’re getting, he will use the children to distract in moments, or he will, most hilariously, just announce that he and Holmes have things they gotta do that the cameras can’t join in on.
Control is a major theme of You Can See Everything: who has it or who thinks they have it and who is trying to maintain it becomes a matter of much debate and consternation. Fielder at times gets particularly frustrated with the ways Evans tries to wrestle the narrative away. Evans clearly has a vision for how this project is meant to go in his head, or maybe he believes that he can outwit or control a comedian. And perhaps there is some psychological taunting happening in that tiny shower where Billy lets it all hang out, as if to say, “Don’t forget who the real man is.” It makes sense: Evans is taller, more assertive, more aggressive, and he’s obviously packing something worth showing off. Lord knows Fielder has expressed penis anxiety in his art—in highly NSFW manner—before, so it’s not crazy to think Evans might be stoking that flame.
There is a palpable tension between Fielder and Evans throughout the movie. At various moments, it feels as if the two men are literally fighting over what’s best for Holmes. Fielder is obviously suspicious of him even more than Holmes, but he’s also taking advantage of how easily they dismiss him as a comedian. Evans, between his tech jargon and his suspicious sniffing, likes to use therapy language to feign disappointment about Fielder’s method (heh) and also subtly mention the number of guns he keeps on his person in highly paranoid fashion. If that’s not a guy that watches Andrew Tate videos and Nick Fuentes streams then I don’t know who else would be. And a man like that is all about projecting some sigma male grindset fueled literal dick-measuring contest. Unless of course…
Theory No. 4: Billy is formally inviting Fielder (maybe Oppenheim too?) into a throuple with him and Elizabeth.
You Can See Everything is full of tension between this triangle of sorts, and that tension can often be a little sexually charged. There are moments when Fielder plays enthralled to or protective of Holmes—and whether that is a knowing construct to throw into the process of filming or a genuine reaction by him, we are conscious of the fact that something is happening between them. While Evans can play the dynamic with competitive aggression, there is also a twinge of sexual curiosity in the eyes, recognizable to anyone that has ever had a couple hit you with the my partner and I noticed you from across the bar type of game. Is that too much? Well consider this: Why were these guys chosen to make this documentary?
In the film it is mentioned that Holmes and Evans had spoken to different studios about a project documenting her last days before turning herself in, and when the idea of Fielder and Oppenheim became a possibility they were open to it. At one point, Evans claims that he showed Holmes Nathan For You and argued that he might be the right choice as a result. Now to anyone who has watched Nathan For You, what about that show would make them think that Fielder was the person for this job? As Fielder helpfully points out, and I’m paraphrasing obviously, Isn’t it funny that I did a show where I worked with scammy businesses and you’re going to prison for a scam business? Fielder openly wonders why he was given this access—it makes him curious and a bit anxious. He wonders if he only got the job because he’s not someone they expect to understand science or the specifics of what Holmes was charged with. He also wonders if they see him as someone who can be easily manipulated. And part of that manipulation might be in a very subtle type of seduction. This was, after all, what some people accused Holmes of doing in order to get the funding that she did for Theranos.
Now I have always found this argument about Holmes to be a little … wanting. Wow a 20-year-old skinny blond woman was able to convince a bunch of old men to give her money? What powers of seduction she must have. But I do think that this question of seduction is an imperative one when it comes to shady rich people in Silicon Valley and how they see comedians. If you’ve paid any attention to these wealthy ghouls who fancy themselves the tech elite, you might notice they have a strange fixation on comedy and entertainment. Why that’s the case is hard to know for sure, but perhaps it is as simple as understanding that natural charisma is something they all lack (and have lacked since they were children) and they wish to acquire it in a kind of vampiric way, which can also be a highly sexual way.
Could Evans have believed that bringing a comedian of Fielder’s stature into their circle, seducing him into their dynamic and lives, would sanewash her and bolster their pledge of innocence to the masses at large. Is that dastardly? Is that giving him too much credit? Is that little peek at his low-hanging fruit in the shower a literalized version of what happens to Hollywood actors and comedians who come into the orbit of these tech gurus, both the actual and the aspirant, that are desperate for power and influence? Maybe Evans didn’t literally give Fielder a sexual pass, but the image of Evans hovering in the background, encouraging Fielder and Holmes into a deeper intimacy, is hard to ignore.
Maybe that’s delusional. But you try watching this for three hours and not come out just a little bit as delusional as this couple seems. Billy’s penis—like the rest of the film—is a Rorschach test, revealing just as much about the person seeing it.

Jennifer Lawrence’s new beauty brand debut sparks ‘unrecognizable’ comments

Jennifer Lawrence’s fans were left with more questions than answers after the “Hunger Games” star launched her latest business endeavor.
Lawrence, 36, debuted her new mes° beauty brand online with The Cut and also revealed she’d gone under the knife for a breast augmentation in an attempt to become a “sexy mom.”
While some users celebrated Lawrence’s candid approach to plastic surgery, others admitted the actress was “unrecognizable” in the photo spread.
MOLLY SIMS CALLS OUT HOLLYWOOD FOR LYING ABOUT BEAUTY SECRETS
“Who else had no idea this was Jennifer Lawrence??” one user wrote, while another noted, “I would not have been able to recognize this as Jennifer Lawrence without the text!!”
“Unrecognizable. What did she do to her face,” one fan asked.

“She looks like a completely different person. Like when Jennifer Grey got her nose job and nobody knew who she was,” another fan wrote.
Some users suggested the Academy Award winner had “eye surgery,” while others asked, “Who retouched these pictures?”
Others praised her photos, with one person writing, “She literally looks younger every time I see her.”
“She can do whatever she wants,” another noted.
In the profile published Tuesday, Lawrence confessed that part of the reason she wants to look her best has to do with her children.
“I want to be a sexy mom,” she said. “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s— together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s— together.”
Lawrence and husband Cooke Maroney have two sons together: Cy, four, and a 19-month-old boy whose name has not yet been publicly disclosed.
She told The New Yorker in October 2025 that she was strongly considering getting a facelift, after previously admitting to dabbling in other cosmetic procedures in a Vogue interview.

“I can’t really get very much done,” she said. “I need to have movement in my face — I get baby Botox, but I can’t do a lot.”
Lawrence said she was “nervous” about fat transfers, but celebrated others in their quests for beauty.
“I support other people doing them because I want to continue to watch and see what happens, but I don’t know about that,” she said. “I mean, I would love to have a buccal fat removal.”
She explained that she wouldn’t pursue the treatment “because everybody would know, but just know that I want that,” and then noted that she preferred radiofrequency treatments “because I have huge cheeks, and so I feel like exercising them as much as possible.”

Earlier this year, Lawrence admitted she thought of herself as a “stay-at-home mom” more than anything while appearing on the “Smartless” podcast.
“That’s me. I identify as a stay-at-home mom,” she said while describing her life as an actor. “But I am obviously working. I’m not used to being busy like this.”

She added, “I normally have a busy three months while I’m filming, but even in that sense, it’s calm because there is nothing else to do. I just go to work, I do that, I come home, I sleep, and then I do it again. And then, like, two weeks while you promote. It is hectic.”
