Brock Lesnar’s career ended at SummerSlam in 2026.
The night one of PLE featured a momentous passing-of the-torch, with Lesnar falling to Oba. Lesnar didn’t announce his retirement after the match. However, he did refer to himself as the “past”, and Femi was the future. Lesnar had an emotional evening as SummerSlam took place in Minnesota, his former home.
Lesnar made it official during a Tuesday appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. Lesnar, 49, announced his retirement from WWE and other sports. He said that now he will be spending more time with his children and supporting their dreams. Lesnar’s sons play hockey and his shotputter daughter hopes to make the Olympics.
“I am here to tell the world that I have retired. Lesnar added, “I wanted to thank everyone for their support.” Saturday was an emotional day for myself. It was strange because when Oba Femia slammed my chest at WrestleMania I thought, “I cannot do this again.” I said, I am done. The business was still going on, and there was some gas left in my tank. Brock Lesnar’s Saturday is it. It’s the end for me, both in and out of the squared-circle.

Lesnar expressed his gratitude to all the fans who have supported and watched him throughout his career. He said he was “honored and grateful” for what they’ve done. The WWE star thanked TKO, Dana White and the UFC as well as all of his coaches. Lesnar said that Femi was “great.”
“I want to thank everyone who has been following me since i was a child, all the way up to today. Lesnar stated that he was a South Dakota farm boy with big dreams, a huge heart and an enormous chip on his shoulder. I’m grateful. Thankful that I am 49 and able to accomplish what I have in my lifetime. “I thank God for everything and everyone who supported me.”
Lesnar explained that he wanted to be able enjoy his life while still being able to move around. Lesnar’s fake retirement announcement after his loss to Femi in WrestleMania42, April will raise some eyebrows. However, Lesnar did not actually say he retired at that time.
Femi won their rivalry 2-1, defeating Lesnar both at WrestleMania & SummerSlam. SummerSlam was held in Hell in a Cell.

Princess Eugenie gave birth to a girl in a Lisbon hospital.
Baby was born at 18:20 BST on Monday, with a weight of 6lbs and 9oz.
The third child of Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank is born. Her sons August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was born 2021. Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank was born 2023.
Buckingham Palace issued a statement that read, “Their Majesties the King and Queen as well as other members of Royal Family are delighted with this news.”
In an Instagram post, the 36-year-old princess wrote: “Jack & I are thrilled to be able to introduce Baby Brooksbank!” !
We are in love beyond words with our little girl.
The name is still to be announced.
Prince Edward, the great-uncle of the new arrival, who is not an HRH, will now be the 15th person in line for the throne.
They live in the grounds between Portugal Cottage and Ivy Cottage.

Peter Parker struggles with his identity during Spider-Man Brand New Day. He has lost himself to the superhero role. Since the events in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he has given up friendships and all connections with other people. He may no longer be friends with Ned, his former girlfriend MJ or even his best friend Ned but he checks up on them via social media. In fact, he crashed a party that they hosted. He meets the pair as Spider-Man and, when the events of the movie unfold, they are in danger. This is his first attempt to rebuild a relationship with them. The final scene in the film has left fans questioning if Doctor Strange has broken his spell that removes Peter from all of our memories.
Spider-Man Brand New Day concludes the same way as most MCU films, with Spider-Man having saved the day. He is now back to his normal heroism routine. Jean Grey has now left New York City after she learned that Department of Damage Control had killed her sister. Ned and MJ, however, were caught up in Jean’s mind-hijacking psychic blast and Spider-Man saved them. Peter meets Ned in a shop and introduces himself. The two do the elaborate handshake they have done before without missing a step. Ned seems to be confused about why he can do it with someone he doesn’t remember meeting, other than a quick appearance at Ned’s house party. But when the handshake is over, Ned looks up, says Peter, leaving it unclear whether or not he recognizes him.
This scene has a lot of meaning. I thought that Ned had muscle memory and was able do the handshake as he has done hundreds of times. You’re likely familiar with this concept if you read Kotaku because you play video games every day. You body learns to react according to the rhythms. This is a behavior that’s become ingrained in your brain. It’s also a habit that musicians are familiar with, since it is how they can learn songs quickly without stopping to think about each chord. If you have done an oddly complex handshake many times, the sequence will probably stick with you even if the memory of who you were with is gone.
Ned’s memory of the handshake alone isn’t sufficient to determine whether or not he can remember Peter. But it has certainly sparked a debate among Spidey’s fans about what this all means. The most popular theory suggests that Jean unintentionally brought back these memories by telepathically mindfucking millions of people. After the climax MJ sits on a roof where they used to go out, holding a necklace he had given her in Far From Home. This suggests that she may remember Peter or that at least she is reflecting on how she has forgotten a significant part of her past.
Earlier in the movie, Jean, who was manipulating Peter by controlling MJ, made it very clear that her ex-girlfriend has absolutely no memory of Peter. Doctor Strange’s spell was effective and thorough. Jean has been shown to have a very powerful telepathy, and I don’t think she missed a place in the characters’ heads where Peter was locked away. Can the strength of friendship, combined with a psychic rattle, be sufficient to break a spell? This is a theory that many fans have adopted.
Ned also seems to possess some latent magic ability. In No Way Home he is able to create portals like Strange. This allows him to find Tobey Mcguire’s and Andrew Garfield’s versions of Peter when the MCU’s New York City begins to merge with the multiple universes. Others speculate that he could have protected his subconscious memories of Peter by doing this, but it’s just speculation. There isn’t much in Brand New Day to draw from.
Spider-Man has not been confirmed for any of the upcoming MCU films, but Brand New Day’s post-credits scenes strongly suggest he will appear in Avengers: Secret Wars in 2019. It’s possible that it could be many years until we find out if Ned does remember Peter. Many fans like the open-ended nature of the question because it encourages debate and allows the MCU to make its own decisions in the future.
Reddit user writes: “I’m not sure even the directors/writers knew, that is why they kept it open-ended.” If they had wanted to make it conclusive they would have made the scene more obvious. The scene was deliberately left ambiguous, so there is no right answer or wrong one…yet.”
