Sanders, who has endorsed Platner for his campaign to unseat GOP Senator Susan Collins, stated that the issues facing working families are more important than Platner’s marriage. “We have a housing problem. The people can’t pay for healthcare, groceries or gas. Sanders told reporters at Citol Hill that it was important to pay attention to the problems facing working families a bit more than Graham Platner’s marriage.

both reported on Saturday that Gertner informed Platner’s Senate campaign of the sexually explicit text messages last year, when discussing possible opposition research. The Times cited a previous senior official of Platner’s, while the Journal cited individuals familiar with this matter.

Platner’s campaign confirmed he had sent sexually explicit text messages to multiple women at the start of his marriage. He and his spouse got married in the year 2023.

Platner made a statement saying, “Amy & I have been through a lot of hard times — all because of me.” “We did the hard work and I’m thankful for her every single day. I learned that during this campaign, people care less about headlines and gossip, but more that you are fighting for their hospital, their paycheck or their kids. This campaign is focused on the ideas that are going to move Maine forward, and beyond the broken politics from the past. Our opponents are against politics with no content or real change. We want to stop that. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) is also defending Platner.

We know Graham’s political life has been different from the norm. Gallego said Monday that Graham was very open and clear with his spouse, and the two worked together to resolve whatever issues they faced. Gallego stated that voters were more concerned with economic and financial issues. He said that “the drip, drip” that is hpening is that Americans are being hurt by the fact that food and gas prices remain high, that they cannot afford to buy a house, that they cannot pay rent, etc. They won’t care about texts and other things like that which hpened years ago. Especially when they were worked out between spouses. Heinrich told reporters that in Maine, people will litigate the race based on who is standing up for working-class Mainers. There’s a D.C./America disconnect and it plies to Maine. The source stated that the trip was planned in advance and had nothing to do with the text messages reported over the weekend. Platner is also backed by other progressives including Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Rep. Ro Khanna, D. California, who reaffirmed their support after the reports on the text messages. When asked Monday if events in Platner’s past indicated a problem with his character Warren criticized Collins’ support for President Donald Trump, and initially support of the U.S. War against Iran. Graham Platner shows the courage and resolve to tackle this issue. Warren said, “I believe this is what Maine’s people care about most.” The reports

The New York Times messages are not the only ones that have cast a shadow over Platner’s candidacy. In October, He The Wall Street Journal for Reddit postings in which he called white rural people stupid and racist. He also referred to himself a “communist” and encouraged people not to consume certain substances so as to avoid being sexually assaulted. The same month he had a tattoo that looked like a Nazi symbol on his chest. He said he acquired the tattoo when he was in the Marines, in 2007, and didn’t realize the skull-and crossbones figure is associated with Nazis. But polling showed that he remained a favorite of Democratic voters in Maine in the months following, and to the point where Democratic Gov. Janet Mills won the

that “people have the impression I’ve withdrawn” or ‘dropped off’.” “I have suspended all active campaigning. Collins, R. Maine, responded Monday to the reports.

She replied, “Well, I’m afraid I have nothing to add.” Every day, there are new revelations about Graham Platner which reflect on his character.

The complaint alleges that plegate attempted to open Carpenter’s door on May 23, 2026. According to a police detective’s declaration supporting the restraining orders, plegate hit the security guard when he confronted him. A Ring security camera shows a man who is identified in the restraining orders request as plegate at Carpenter’s door, being confronted with a flashlight by a guard. The court documents state that the security guard asked plegate to leave but he refused, saying that he was familiar with Carpenter and she had been expecting him. This claim, which the documents call “outrageous” and “entirely false,” is a claim that the documents have called. plegate, wrote the detective, “developed an irrational and disturbing fixation” on Carpenter. Carpenter wrote in her statement that after the man was arrested under suspicion of misdemeanor trespass, he returned to the area the following two days. Carpenter claimed that the man parked her Toyota Prius in a nearby area and reclined its seat so as to be harder to see, he did this while conducting what Carpenter called “deliberate harassment” and “surveillance”. He left after police responded, Carpenter said. Carpenter’s Security personnel then determined that the man had been parking around the neighborhood, and was “progressively getting closer” to Carpenter’s home since proximately ril 20. Carpenter stated in her declaration that the man’s delusional belief that he was familiar with me and expected by me indicates a dangerous delusion and irrational obsession. The restraining orders also cover Carpenter’s vehicle and workplace. plegate is prohibited from harassing, intimidating, threatening, contacting or stalking Carpenter. The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office has been notified of the police department’s case regarding trespassing, as well as other allegations from the incident on May 23, so that it can decide if charges should be brought. New Mexico lawmakers blast out subpoenas to Epstein investigation.

New Mexico lawmakers blast out subpoenas to Epstein investigation.

New Mexico New Mexico lawmakers are demanding documents to be provided by a variety of government and private organizations as the first step in their efforts to uncover the truth about what hpened in the state and whether anyone else should face criminal charges. The New Mexico Truth Commission, a committee that is known by the name of New Mexico Truth Commission, expects to issue subpoenas to 14 individuals this week. These include federal agencies, such as the U.S. Justice Department or FBI, and state and locally based law enforcement agencies. Epstein’s previous banks, Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase as well as the Santa Fe Institute (a nonprofit scientific research institute he supported) are expected to receive demands. The committee will forward the case if it finds that there is evidence that a criminal offense can be prosecuted. This could hpen in New Mexico, or anywhere else, according to members. In a speech at the New Mexico State Citol, Republican state representative Andrea Reeb explained that “the goal is to build a complete public record.” The bipartisan commission includes four members, including Reeb.

dating decades back, Epstein was never charged in New Mexico with any crimes.

Court testimony, lawsuits and records show that at least 10 women allege Epstein groomed, abused or molested them on the 10,000 acre ranch in the 1990s. Epstein, according to the women, abused them when they were teens. The ranch had never been searched by law enforcement until this year.

Epstein’s missed opportunities in New Mexico follow a pattern that began with an investigation by the state of Florida where he had been accused of paying girls underage for sex. He cut a deal in 2008 with federal and state prosecutors to avoid jail time. This also ended an investigation into his activities. He had to register in Florida and New York as a sex offenders, but not New Mexico. The Miami Herald had reported on the plea deal in The New York Times

. Federal investigators took the case up in 2019. Epstein’s New York prosecution largely ignored the New Mexico ranch. Ghislaine Maxiwell was charged after Epstein’s death in prison. Her trial only briefly addressed allegations made in New Mexico. She is currently in federal prison. The Justice Department released Epstein documents in January. These included new information on efforts to close down the state investigation for 2019 and allegations of crimes committed at the ranch. Of particular concern was the unsubstantiated claim that two bodies had been buried there. New Mexico has been enraged to try and find out the truth about what hpened at this ranch.

Commission member said that Monday their work would be centered on the experiences and stories of survivors. Marianna Anaya (Democrat, State Rep.) said that they will investigate not only allegations of sex-trafficking and financial crimes but also “medical and science crimes”. She did not elaborate. The commission’s work will be funded by the money collected from Epstein’s banks in settlement. It also plans to make changes to state law to address any gs that could have prevented authorities from prosecuting Epstein and others. Rachel Benavidez testified that Epstein had abused her. The commission also heard testimony from Virginia Giuffre’s family, one of Epstein’s most vocal victims who committed suicide last year. Benavidez stated that “we know Jeffrey Epstein couldn’t have acted alone.” “The tentacles are spread across academia, science and medicine, politics, finance, and government.” Benavidez said.
