‘86 47’ slogan tied to James Comey resurfaces at May Day protests across US

NEWYou can now hear Fox News articles. The “8647” slogan made famous by former FBI director James Comey appeared on signs at several May Day protests. Photos captured by Fox News Digital from New York City and Los Angeles show several demonstrators holding signs that read “8647,” including one that said, “86 the entire regime.” Comey was indicted by the Justice Department this week, and it appears that charges are related to his Instagram photo from May 2025 of an “8647” shell formation on a sandy beach. In service industry slang, to “86”, something is to eject, delete or get rid of. James Comey has been indicted again in a new Justice Department probe. According to the indictment, Comey is accused of “knowingly and willingly making a death threat or inflicting bodily harm on the President of the United States, and knowingly, willfully transmitting an interstate and international communication that contained a threatened to kill President Donald Trump.” The DOJ announced Tuesday that both charges carry a maximum of 10 years in prison. The DOJ’s move comes after a wave criticism from Republicans and Trump Administration officials who saw Comey’s posting as a veiled threats. May Day Strong, the main organizer of the Friday demonstrations, described the demonstrators as “workers and families” who rallied, marched and took action “across America to demand a country that puts workers above billionaires. Many refused business as usual by refusing No School. No Work. No Shopping. “MAY DAY Demonstrations Draw Thousands Across The USMay Day’s origins date back to the 19th Century, when Marxists and socialists, along with labor unions, called for a strike in Paris. It later became a holiday in the Soviet Union following the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. The protest began as a way to protect worker’s rights, but the labor unions’ big-money political activities today give it a partisan bent that is very much focused on anti-Trump language, critics claim. Fox News Digital found that approximately 600 groups with an active revenue of $2 billion were slated to hold an estimated 6,000 events for pro-socialist May Day protests on Friday. Comey’s May 20,25 Instagram post featured the numbers “8647” arranged as shells on a sandy beach. Later, it was deleted. This report was contributed by Fox News’ David Spunt and Bill Mears, Jake Gibson and Asra Nomani. Fox News Digital’s Louis Casiano, Preston Mizell and Asra Mizell also contributed.

NEWYou can listen to Fox News articles now! After a Pennsylvania State Police SWAT Team stormed Maryann Kohberger’s home in the Poconos, in December 2022 she told investigators that they made a “really bad mistake” and her suspected murderer was an “angel”. “They just arrested Bryan Kohberger who was accused of stabbing 4 University of Idaho undergrads at Moscow, Idaho. Three of the victims were asleep when they were attacked. According to a transcript of Maryann’s interview, published in Christopher Whitcomb’s new book “Broken Plea”, Maryann Kohberger said, “He’s an angel.” She spoke with them at the Pennsylvania State Police Fern Ridge Barracks, located in Blakeslee about eight miles away from the family’s home in Albrightsville. His mother confirmed that he was not dating anyone and had only “a few” girlfriends at the time. She admitted that her son had very few friends, but said she was grateful he had overcome his heroin addiction. She claimed that he was “making new friends” at WSU. She could only identify one — described only in the book as an international student, and one of his students in the criminology programme.SEND US AN TIP HEREShe told the agents that Kohberger had lived alone for the first time during the semester he spent in Pullman, Washington. She told them that he had few hobbies, was a late-night sleeper, and was very organized at work, but did not always clean up his room.
