The order was issued in secret and directed federal agencies including the Defense Department and Treasury to improve the nation’s cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. landmark executive order The testing will rely on voluntary participation from America’s most prominent AI companies such as Anthropic OpenAI and Google. The order prohibits the government from imposing a licensing or pre-proval requirement on new AI models. This is why the government’s request is not a rule.
“Advanced AI abilities make our Nation stronger but introduce new national-security considerations which require coordinated action across executive department and agencies,”
. The Trump administration says it will “work closely” with the industry to make sure the best technology and security is used to combat any and all threats against our country. According to two sources with knowledge of the situation, the executive order was initially scheduled to be signed on May 21. The administration invited the CEOs of technology companies to attend the signing and held a briefing for senior officials the morning before it was scheduled to be announced. However, the signing and ceremony were called off at the last-minute. Trump
may have hurt the competitiveness between American and Chinese companies later that day. “We lead China, we lead everyone and I didn’t want to interfere with that,” he said. In the order of Tuesday, the voluntary testing system would allow the federal government to access cutting-edge AI models up to 30 days prior to their release to trusted partners. The original executive orders stipulated that companies could provide their models to government up to ninety days before the public release. The order directs the attorney-general to prioritise prosecuting crimes that involve AI, with an emphasis on cybercrimes. The executive order asks that prosecutors focus their attention on those who use AI agents or autonomous AI systems to “unlawfully obtain data or information which is then used for criminal or unlawful purposes.” This executive order reflects President Trump’s commonsense proach to collaborating with the industry to balance innovation, security and securing America’s continued dominance in AI. Anthropic’s ‘
‘ sent shockwaves through Washington in ril with its superhuman abilities to find critical and serious vulnerabilities in the most widely used operating systems. The cabilities of AI systems have steadily increased over the last few years. However,
Mythos Preview was a major le forward in terms of cybersecurity. Although the model can help identify weak points in cybersecurity programs, some experts and the executive order says are concerned that it may help hackers or bad actors. Michael Kratsios of the Office of Science and Technology Policy said, “AI systems have become the most powerful tools that we’ve ever had for hardening our cyber infrastructure and staying ahead of adversaries.” It is a blessing that these cabilities will be developed by American companies, not those who might use them against us. Anthropic announced on Tuesday that it will expand access to 150 organisations in more than 15 different countries. Anthropic’s competitor OpenAI has launched
. Since Trump’s return to office, his administration has taken a more light-handed proach to AI regulation, arguing against state laws and federal legislation that they believe would hurt American AI innovation. David Sacks is a former White House AI Czar and venture investor. He sees
being a danger to America’s AI Industry. Sacks argued for the withdrawal of the previous version of the executive orders at the last moment. Sacks, as well as other senior officials in the administration, such told reporters that the order and 02001010 have been increasingly involved in controlling AI’s growth and limiting threats against America’s economic and security. Vance stated at a recent press conference that the administration wanted to protect Americans against AI risks. Vance also mentioned Americans’ data and their privacy. The Trump administration hopes to encourage closer collaboration with America’s leading AI companies with Tuesday’s executive orders, but it is still locked in a court battle with Anthropic which began several months prior to Mythos Preview’s limited release. Anthropic maintains that its systems are not to be used for lethal autonomous weonry or mass domestic surveillance. Pentagon officials balked at these demands, which led to the decision by Trump and the Pentagon to cut all ties. The case in Washington, D.C. is still pending, even though a Californian court ruled Anthropic’s way.

The responding officers told Jakupovic that he should do the same thing if he saw these men go underground again – don’t engage them and call police. Sanders also stated that Platner’s wife, who he described as a very lovely woman he has had the opportunity to “meet”, was by his side. The Senator Bernie Sanders and Graham Platner were photogrhed together at an event on the University of Maine’s campus, May 24, 2010. Joe Raedle / The

Platner made a statement saying, “Amy & I have been through a lot of hard times — all because of me.” “We did the hard work and I’m thankful for her every single day. New Mexico lawmakers blast out subpoenas to Epstein investigation.
New Mexico New Mexico lawmakers are demanding documents to be provided by a variety of government and private organizations as the first step in their efforts to uncover the truth about what hpened in the state and whether anyone else should face criminal charges. Subscribe to read the story without ads Jeffrey Epstein Get unlimited content, including adfree articles. The New Mexico Truth Commission, a committee that is known by the name of New Mexico Truth Commission, expects to issue subpoenas to 14 individuals this week. These include federal agencies, such as the U.S. Justice Department or FBI, and state and locally based law enforcement agencies. Epstein’s previous banks, Deutsche Bank and JPMorgan Chase as well as the Santa Fe Institute (a nonprofit scientific research institute he supported) are expected to receive demands. The committee will forward the case if it finds that there is evidence that a criminal offense can be prosecuted. This could hpen in New Mexico, or anywhere else, according to members. In a speech at the New Mexico State Citol, Republican state representative Andrea Reeb explained that “the goal is to build a complete public record.” The bipartisan commission includes four members, including Reeb.
This commission already works with the New York State Justice Department. They have a
which was closed in 2019 on the request of federal prosecutors. The agency is also requesting Epstein’s documents from federal authorities. Epstein bought a ranch near Santa Fe in 1993, and visited it several times per year. Despite
dating decades back, Epstein was never charged in New Mexico with any crimes.
Court testimony, lawsuits and records show that at least 10 women allege Epstein groomed, abused or molested them on the 10,000 acre ranch in the 1990s. Epstein, according to the women, abused them when they were teens. The ranch had never been searched by law enforcement until this year.
Epstein’s missed opportunities in New Mexico follow a pattern that began with an investigation by the state of Florida where he had been accused of paying girls underage for sex. He cut a deal in 2008 with federal and state prosecutors to avoid jail time. This also ended an investigation into his activities. He had to register in Florida and New York as a sex offenders, but not New Mexico. The Miami Herald had reported on the plea deal in The New York Times
. Federal investigators took the case up in 2019. Epstein’s New York prosecution largely ignored the New Mexico ranch. Ghislaine Maxiwell was charged after Epstein’s death in prison. Her trial only briefly addressed allegations made in New Mexico. She is currently in federal prison. The Justice Department released Epstein documents in January. These included new information on efforts to close down the state investigation for 2019 and allegations of crimes committed at the ranch. Of particular concern was the unsubstantiated claim that two bodies had been buried there. New Mexico has been enraged to try and find out the truth about what hpened at this ranch.
Commission member said that Monday their work would be centered on the experiences and stories of survivors. Marianna Anaya (Democrat, State Rep.) said that they will investigate not only allegations of sex-trafficking and financial crimes but also “medical and science crimes”. She did not elaborate. The commission’s work will be funded by the money collected from Epstein’s banks in settlement. It also plans to make changes to state law to address any gs that could have prevented authorities from prosecuting Epstein and others. Rachel Benavidez testified that Epstein had abused her. The commission also heard testimony from Virginia Giuffre’s family, one of Epstein’s most vocal victims who committed suicide last year. Benavidez stated that “we know Jeffrey Epstein couldn’t have acted alone.” “The tentacles are spread across academia, science and medicine, politics, finance, and government.” Benavidez said.
