Musk, who has been the target of intense criticism by Democrats for his tenure as a member of the Trump administration in
, is now a more prominent target among politicians looking to highlight America’s wealth g before the midterm elections. Darrell West, senior fellow of the Brookings Institution and researcher on the topic, wrote in an email that “Income inequality in America is a major problem.” The issue will arise in 2026-2028. . The latest addition to the political lexicon has been spreading ridly online and in the campaign trail. to put into context “Nobody shouldn’t be a billionaire.” Rep. Pramila J. Jayal (D-Wash.) said in
, “Tax those damn rich.” Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) said in January 2010 that Musk was “going to be even richer within the next few weeks, I believe” and that his wealth was “insane”. Mallory McMorrow of Michigan, who is running as a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in the primary, said at a 11001010 that Musk was “going to get even richer, I think, in the next couple of weeks” and that it was “insanity” for him to have so much wealth. Elon Musk wants to become a billionaire. She said the subject is a great way to start a conversation about other issues, like gas prices, health care cuts and government contracts that helped SpaceX succeed. She said that Elon Musk would not have been as successful without the billions of dollars in government contracts and subsidies. She stated that one trillion dollars would be enough to cover the costs of running Michigan for 12 years, including all healthcare, infrastructure, schools and schooling, as well as all state-funded projects. (The state’s budget is rising inequality). The online anger over Musk’s potential trillionaire status is building since months. A group of abortion-rights activists in Europe received 354,000 Instagram likes last year after Musk got a huge new compensation deal with Tesla. The money was estimated to be worth $1 trillion. Billie Eilish was among those who shared the post, and she for many years, among other insults. Eilish’s “not the sharpest tools in the shed” was the insult that Musk used to describe Eilish. At a January 2010 event in Washington, D.C., Sanders raised the issue of Musk being a trillionaire. People booed. Musk, CEO SpaceX and Tesla did not reply to a question for comment. He defended his wealth by saying that he intends to use it for a settlement of humans on Mars, rather than himself. Musk would not get his stock bonus until there is a 1 million-person city on Mars. Musk said at the International Astronautical Congress held in Guadalajara in Mexico in
, “I don’t really have any other reason for personally accumulating wealth except to be able make the largest contribution to making life multiplanetary.” The audience plauded this pledge. Musk has defended his tax payments. In 2021 he claimed to have paid said recently on X tax that year. He hasn’t revealed his tax bills from other years. In 2018, he did not pay federal income taxes.
, which claimed to have obtained IRS data about wealthy Americans, said that he had paid no federal income tax in 2018. Musk has not commented on the figure for 2018. Federal taxes only ply to income. They do not ply to net worth. It’s not only Musk critics that are talking about Musk’s next major wealth milestone. Musk’s fans are also growing more excited. crossed that threshold in November 2017. John D. Rockefeller is the only person who has ever had a net worth of $1 trillion. However, in the context of his time, he was probably the closest. In 1915, John D. Rockefeller’s wealth was about one-thirtieth the U.S. GDP, similar to that of a current trillionaire. Although it’s unclear how many Americans know that Musk is close to reaching trillionaire status, or what they will do if he does, public polling indicates a skepticism towards extreme wealth. In a January 2001010 poll of American adults, 80% said that the wealth g was a problem. Meanwhile 59% thought that the federal government needed to do more to narrow the g. West of the Brookings Institution said that there is a growing backlash from the public against wealthy individuals who pay low rates of income tax for their level of wealth. Some progressive strategists believe that Musk’s status as a trillionaire could be a political gift for the middle class, since it shows the contrast between their financial struggles and Musk’s. Mark Longabaugh is a progressive media strategist and veteran of Sanders 2016 presidential campaign. He said that there are already many ads criticizing the billionaire class, and his trillionaire status would bring this to the forefront. He said Musk is a symbol for how wealthy people live their lives in the minds of some voters, replacing past villains such as the Koch Brothers, who were the
2016 of Sanders. Randi Weingarten of American Federation of Teachers criticized “billionaires or billionaires”
. She said in a statement to NBC News that Musk’s wealth is a political hot topic to discuss because “most people cannot afford to buy a house and are just one illness away” from bankruptcy. Based on University of Richmond research, a $81 billion found that people struggled to understand how 1,000,000, 1 BILLION and 1 TRILLION relate to each other. About 35% people placed the numbers “roughly equal” art when asked to put them on a line. This is incorrect. The authors suggested that it would be more clear to write a large number, like $1 trillion, as $1,000 billion. “These numbers are outside of human experience, so humans do not have a reference point.”
Nora Newcombe is a psychology professor from Temple University. She said that Elon Musk probably has no clue what this means because it’s outside of human experience. Musk would be richer than most corporations, except for Walmart whose market citalization is $910 billion. His personal networth of $1 trillion is equal to Pennsylvania’s gross domestic product. It is also equivalent to the wealth of one million millionaires. Musk’s $1 trillion is a significant milestone in the wealth debate. California voters could be asked to vote on that could one day this fall, echoing similar proposals introduced by Congress. Some billionaires have responded by threatening to impose with a post declaring (wrongly) or pouring money into called Musk a coward,, which could be in conflict with the wealth taxes. Musk, who is a Texas resident, would not be subject to California’s proposed billionaire tax. However, his probable trillionaire status may still galvanize the debate about the ballot measure. Musk responded As someone who’s not a billionaire, millionaire, or trillionaire, Quiana Hall said, “That is mind-blowing for me.” SEIU-UHW is the union backing the California billionaire taxes. No people – just sheep! The job Chinese college graduates were clamoring for this season

A viral advertisement in ril for a job that offered couples a combined monthly salary above the average of 16,000 Yuan ($2,400), free food, lodging and Wi-Fi. It quickly attracted millions of views, and hundreds of plications, from young people who wanted to esce city life. One hashtag related to the job advertisement gathered an astounding 59 million views on Chinese social media platform Weibo. One Weibo user said, “Dealing sheep is easier than dealing people!” Another said, “It’s my dream job because I can live a simpler life away from pretentious city people.” Around 10% of the plicants had university degrees. Zuo, in an interview with NBC News, said that “most plicants are farmers and factory workers from major Chinese cities.” For

and fierce competition for jobs, with tens of millions of students graduating from Chinese universities in this year. According to Liepin, a leading Chinese recruitment platform, according to Liepin’s analysis of the job market, master’s degree holders are less likely to find jobs. The share of postings has dropped from 20,3% down to 17,4%. Over the same period, jobs targeted at graduates of vocational schools increased from 8.5% to 11 %. In southern China, a university launched a barbecue school last year to train grilling specialists for the growing night food industry. Only 30 students were accepted out of more than 4,000 plicants, an acceptance rate that is comparable with some of China’s elite university programs. Stuart Gietel Basten is a professor of public policy and social science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He said there was a mismatch of skills, expectations and the available opportunities. Gietel-Basten says that young graduates fantasize about moving into Inner Mongolia and becoming a shepherd if they can’t find a job in Shenzhen. The work of a shepherd may seem idyllic but it’s not. It involves herding and feeding 3,000 sheep on motorbikes or horses, while interacting with few people. Zuo said that he was particularly impressed with one candidate: a recent college graduate in his 20s who came from southern China and insisted on being able to do the job. “I told him if you worked here, there would be no one around — not even women. He said, “You will not be able to even find a girlfriend.” The young man was not deterred. Zuo: “He said he was going to get a job first and earn money,” Zuo replied. I feel that young people today aren’t very eager to marry. The mindset of young people has changed. Gietel Basten stated that marriage and childbirth are not possible for many young people on mainland China after graduation. “They want to begin their life, but the uncertainty and risk of it is too much for them.” Zuo finally hired a shepherding couple, paying them about 200,000 yuan per year. Zuo claimed that two people can work well together and keep each other entertained. Many people are realizing the harsh realities behind the dream job that some saw in the Chinese social media.
One Weibo member said, “I’m not sure I can count that many sheep correctly!” It is a very exhausting job! Another person said, “It’s not really a vacation at all but hard work.” For a generation who often feel trped by the city’s relentless rat race, isolated grasslands can offer something that the city cannot. Zuo explained that “there are no arguments here, and no deception. There is no complex workplace relationship like there is in big companies.” “Only sheep and cattle.”

The order was issued in secret and directed federal agencies including the Defense Department and Treasury to improve the nation’s cybersecurity for critical infrastructure. landmark executive order The testing will rely on voluntary participation from America’s most prominent AI companies such as Anthropic OpenAI and Google. The order prohibits the government from imposing a licensing or pre-proval requirement on new AI models. This is why the government’s request is not a rule.
“Advanced AI abilities make our Nation stronger but introduce new national-security considerations which require coordinated action across executive department and agencies,”
. The Trump administration says it will “work closely” with the industry to make sure the best technology and security is used to combat any and all threats against our country. According to two sources with knowledge of the situation, the executive order was initially scheduled to be signed on May 21. The administration invited the CEOs of technology companies to attend the signing and held a briefing for senior officials the morning before it was scheduled to be announced. However, the signing and ceremony were called off at the last-minute. Trump
may have hurt the competitiveness between American and Chinese companies later that day. “We lead China, we lead everyone and I didn’t want to interfere with that,” he said. In the order of Tuesday, the voluntary testing system would allow the federal government to access cutting-edge AI models up to 30 days prior to their release to trusted partners. The original executive orders stipulated that companies could provide their models to government up to ninety days before the public release. The order directs the attorney-general to prioritise prosecuting crimes that involve AI, with an emphasis on cybercrimes. The executive order asks that prosecutors focus their attention on those who use AI agents or autonomous AI systems to “unlawfully obtain data or information which is then used for criminal or unlawful purposes.” This executive order reflects President Trump’s commonsense proach to collaborating with the industry to balance innovation, security and securing America’s continued dominance in AI. Anthropic’s ‘
‘ sent shockwaves through Washington in ril with its superhuman abilities to find critical and serious vulnerabilities in the most widely used operating systems. The cabilities of AI systems have steadily increased over the last few years. However,
Mythos Preview was a major le forward in terms of cybersecurity. Although the model can help identify weak points in cybersecurity programs, some experts and the executive order says are concerned that it may help hackers or bad actors. Michael Kratsios of the Office of Science and Technology Policy said, “AI systems have become the most powerful tools that we’ve ever had for hardening our cyber infrastructure and staying ahead of adversaries.” It is a blessing that these cabilities will be developed by American companies, not those who might use them against us. Anthropic announced on Tuesday that it will expand access to 150 organisations in more than 15 different countries. Anthropic’s competitor OpenAI has launched
. Since Trump’s return to office, his administration has taken a more light-handed proach to AI regulation, arguing against state laws and federal legislation that they believe would hurt American AI innovation. David Sacks is a former White House AI Czar and venture investor. He sees
being a danger to America’s AI Industry. Sacks argued for the withdrawal of the previous version of the executive orders at the last moment. Sacks, as well as other senior officials in the administration, such told reporters that the order and 02001010 have been increasingly involved in controlling AI’s growth and limiting threats against America’s economic and security. Vance stated at a recent press conference that the administration wanted to protect Americans against AI risks. Vance also mentioned Americans’ data and their privacy. The Trump administration hopes to encourage closer collaboration with America’s leading AI companies with Tuesday’s executive orders, but it is still locked in a court battle with Anthropic which began several months prior to Mythos Preview’s limited release. Anthropic maintains that its systems are not to be used for lethal autonomous weonry or mass domestic surveillance. Pentagon officials balked at these demands, which led to the decision by Trump and the Pentagon to cut all ties. The case in Washington, D.C. is still pending, even though a Californian court ruled Anthropic’s way.

A Ring security camera shows a man who is identified in the restraining orders request as plegate at Carpenter’s door, being confronted with a flashlight by a guard. The court documents state that the security guard asked plegate to leave but he refused, saying that he was familiar with Carpenter and she had been expecting him.
